- The current status of under-construction Baharampur (Berhampore) bypass along NH-12 (old NH-34) in West Bengal. The work was stalled since 2014. The videos are taken during August October 2019

Is it possible to get an update on this portion from you.? Has the work on the new bridge over the Ganga restarted? Also what’s the status of the new bridge in Farakka which is supposed to take the load off the old barrage bridge. Would love to have an update from you…..no one else can match the finesse and the correctness of your updates.
Thankfully, the widening work has re-started for Baharampur bypass, including the work of new 4-laned Hooghly river bridge from last month (Dec 2021). The work is in full swing now.
For the new 4-laned bridge at Farakka, the work is going to restart soon on-the-ground (officially, the work has already resumed, after the clearance of an independent review of the design and drawing. You may know that there was an accident at the construction site in Feb 2020 which halted the work and the whole bridge design was sent for a review. )

Many thanks Mr Hossain for your reply. Somehow your reply got embedded beneath other mails and I had missed it. Good to know that work on both the bridges have started. I only wish that they had planned a 3+3 lane bridge (once and for all) in Farakka over the Ganga as is done on many other bridges for obvious reasons.

একদম। এটা সবার জন্যে ই ভালো হবে। তবে NHAI একটু কড়া পদক্ষেপ না নিলে, ঠিকাদার এখন যেভাবে কাজ করছে তাতে অনেক দিন সময় লাগবে।
Thanks Golamda for sharing. So the status is exactly as we find in Google Map. BTW in apple map I can see the Dalkhola Bypass stretch is visible, and some progress at the western side of railway track also.
NHAI/ HCC main priority right now is Berhampore-Farakka Non-bypass completion by Jan-2020 and Farakka-Aradphur stretch by May-2020. Berhampore bypass works will move at snails pace barring bhagirathi major bridge.
Ahiron new bridge will be open before November end then old bridge will be repaired. Ballalpur ROB is also doable, structure fully done just the approaches is around 2 months work.
Malda bypass only RHS side will be opened completely in two weeks time. Aradpur VUP nd Malda LHS also doable in 3-4 months but Kaliachak-Sujapur is bit difficult, lot of road work including culverts. Let's hope for the best.

@Banibrata Patra Yeah, more or less, Baharampur bypass has the same status as you see in Google Maps. Nevertheless, there has been some progress in last few months. Now that the monsoon is over, we may see some visible change. Anyway, let's hope for the best.
@Sharath Tummala Thanks for such a precise update. Given the current financial situations, do you consider whether HCC will be able to meet even above targets (Kaliachak-Sujapur+Malda bypass+Aradpur overpass+Ahiron bridge + Ballalpur ROB) within the time frame that you have mentioned? Thanks in advance!
What is the end Date
It's running way behind schedule. Not sure, when they will complete it. If they want then it can be completed in a year but not much work is being done now.

Yes, the work has resumed in full strength now. It is expected to be completed by end of 2023.

Has the work started now in June 2021?
The work should start now as the funding issues are resolved. However, I didn't see much activity in April first week and I don't have any recent update.
After lockdown plz give some updates regarding this
