Walnut Güllaç Recipe

  • Güllaç dessert is a wonderful milk dessert with its light and incredible taste.
    While making Güllaç dessert, some rose water is added to give flavor. It can be made without rose water and it does not lose any of its flavor. How to make Güllaç dessert? If you are wondering, the answer is in our recipe.
    Materials:
    300 g Güllaç
    1 kilo 250 grams of milk
    1 cup + 1/4 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons of table rose water
    1 glass of crushed walnuts
    Ingredients for Topping:
    1/4 cup crushed walnuts
    Pomegranate
    Fabrication:
    Add milk and sugar to your pot on the stove. Stir the sugar with a whisk until it dissolves. Heat it until it steams and does not boil (or until it reaches a temperature that does not burn your hands). Otherwise, if the milk boils, the puddings may melt.
    Remove the heated milk from the stove, add the rose water and mix. Those who do not prefer rose water can use vanilla.
    Cut the Güllaç leaves into pieces according to the size and shape of your tray (since a round tray was used in our recipe, the leaves were cut from the edges to make them smaller and the cut pieces were used in the intermediate layers).
    Add some prepared milk to the bottom of the tray in which you will make the Güllaç, and place the Güllaç leaves on it.
    Pour the heated milk onto the leaf using a ladle, covering all sides.
    After preparing 6 layers of Güllaç leaves in this way, add the crushed walnuts and spread evenly.
    Repeat 6 more layers in the same way, adding a layer of Güllaç leaves and the prepared milk to each layer.
    Cover the Güllacı, which consists of 12 layers in total, with stretch film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
    You can slice the rested Güllacı and serve it by decorating it with walnuts and pomegranates. Enjoy your meal.
    Notes:
    You can also make Güllacı without rose water; those who wish can use vanilla. You can use hazelnuts or pistachios instead of walnuts in our recipe, and you can use any fruit you want instead of pomegranate.
