    I got this in the 3 inch blade version in all black. I’m extremely impressed with this knife. It’s a top choose for edc. Also the blade has great penetration for a little self defense knife as well. This is a timeless and classy design.

    I found the review well done with the 3 knives side by side.

    Great review. I have enough knives of this general shape and size. Might appeal more to me if it were a "Super Steel".

    This reminds me of the CRKT CEO, never held this knife but if the lock bar access is similar to the CEO it really makes it hard to actuate with larger hands unfortunately, otherwise I really like the design!

      Yes, did you see the part where I compared it to the CEO in the video? This is significantly easier to open than the CEO, by the way. 😁👍🗡️

      I was thinking the same thing. I gave a CEO to a business partner of mine, a couple of years ago. He loves it. I think I'll buy this one for him as well. Expand his horizons a little bit more. 😀

      @@OGBladeReviews yes I did, I think I like this one more but still worried about the lock bar access but you made it look much easier than the CEO and I'm glad to hear it is in fact easier! Thanks for the great review and continued content!

    Seems like you never hear "Kwaiken" without it being followed by "Lucas Burnley" and it's pretty much become a trademark like "Xerox" or "Tylenol".
    This jade handle with black blade is beautiful and refined, and like all "Kwaikens", deadly, letter openers.

      @@OGBladeReviews Burnley may in fact own "Kwaiken" since a search in Wikipedia only produced "Kaiken" ("Due to pronunciation changes over time, the kwaiken is now called a kaiken"). No Kanji or Japanese is given. "Kwaiken" might just be the "Band-Aid" of the knife world. LOL. If he hasn't already, he should get it trade-marked. Anyway, I wouldn't want to get poked with that trailing point or sliced with that slicey blade- "Kwaiken" or "Kaiken".

    I just got my kwaiken mini today but I have to press very hard to get the flipper open. Do I have to oil it? And if I have to, do I have to disassemble everything and what type of oil should I use?

    • @OGBladeReviews
      @OGBladeReviews  2 года назад +1

      Sometimes it's just a matter of technique and committing to a quick, firm lighswitch motion. Mostly what helps is being patient while it breaks in, and all knives eventually do. Oil doesn't do much for stiff opening actions usually. Has a last resort you can disassemble and lightly bend the liner lock outward to offer less pressure. Before that you can see what slightly loosening the pivot will do... Take care. 👍🗡️🎄

    • @berendneirinck
      @berendneirinck 2 года назад +1

      @@OGBladeReviews thank you for your fast response! I slightly loosened the pivot, it came out way easier. But I saw the blade wasn't centered anymore. Do I have to disassemble everything? I'm 'fairly new' when it becomes to knives so...
      Also when I succeed to open it, it opens only halfways and I have to open the blade with my other hand...
      Merry christmas!

    • @OGBladeReviews
      @OGBladeReviews  2 года назад +1

      Try loosening and then tightening the pivot while the blade is open just be careful! Then close it and see if it's centered and if it isn't centered slightly adjusted until it is. You can try a little bit of light oil on the pivot see if that helps but long-term it's really about the break-in process. Happy holidays!

    I have CEO, would you recommend this over it❓

    • @OGBladeReviews
      @OGBladeReviews  2 года назад +2

      Your choice, the Boker will be a bit longer and with a better steel, but since I don't have the latest version of the CEO I'm not sure what steel they are now using but it is now a back flipper as I understand. I can't say I really recommend one over the other so you'll need to compare the specs and make that decision. Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️
