Ahhh! Just what Iwas looking for. I just sowed french beans for the first time and knew I'd need to look up the next stage soon and you popped up on my main page. Thank you for sharing. Lovely!
I have a couple of tenderette bean foot high beans in the potato planter. I think I will sow a few more now that I know I can grow them in a group. Thank you, Ivan.
Thanks Ivan, been subbed for a while now and your videos have been super helpful. Careful you don't burn yourself out though, you're cranking these videos out like an absolute mad lad, lol. The effort hasn't gone unappreciated though!
Well done ! I like your hand crafted planter boxes...very nice . I've planted out my first wave of Dwarf french beans into a Vegtrug this year as they kept getting eaten by something the past three years when I put them in the ground . I also keep back a few spares 🌿 🌞
very nice, I have planted out beans, in a no dig bed! I will be so excited to have them and harvest the beans! I love beans! the freeze very very well. I will be growing some for drying beans too, but I'll do that in a back to eden bed and in the 3 sisters, I grow them up corn plants and then have squash to smother the weeds
Great video Ivan. I learned the hard way. Planted out some lovely bean plants. Next morning there was nothing but stems. Devoured by slugs. Back to square 1 now.
Very informative video yet again, I just grow my vegetables in metal hexagonal raised beds, my problem is snails 🐌 we have millions I use a cup with beer 🍺 and pick them off and drop them in! But they still keep coming it’s very disheartening!
Can I please ask you I also have a apricot tree installed 3 yrs ago Every year it gives me loads of flowers but not a single fruit I don’t know if you can help me Thanks
@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk many thanks dear for responding It’s already 3 years completed since I planted the tree Someone passerby mentioned I need to buy another apricot plant and next to each other will helps But I have been looking for reasonable price apricot plant since last year no success
Sometimes they take a while try taking a seed out to see if it is germinating and if it is then that rules out bad seeds the compost should be fine Thank you Yvonne
Hi Ivan great video. How do I get plug plants to come out of trays like you. My compost never stays together even though plants have roots. Thanks Claire Bristol Uk

Young apricot trees take time to mature and produce fruit. They generally start bearing fruit after 3 to 4 years

Great video Ivan love all of yours..but I’m struggling to get my French beans too germinate in my little plastic greenhouse.. maybe it’s my compost 😢

Could you also plant some within the middle of the wigwam? Would the middle ones be effected by the ones on the outside canes?
Yes but a little harder to harvest once they bush out
Thank you
Whats the latest you can plant dwarf or climbing beans?
Hi sow as late as July for a September harvest for Dwarf and June for climbing varieties
Thank you
@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk thanks thats great
Do your dwarf beans climb? Mine don't need extra support.
Hi Valorie no they only reach 2ft but i will be putting them outside and we get bad winds so just a little support will help
Thank you
have you ever tried growing beans on the steam of corn??
Yes i have and squash at the base its called the 3 sisters
Thank you Steph
@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk and it works ?? Going to try it as I have limited space
My borlotti beans have not popped yet.
Hi Louise borlotti beans can take up to 21 days to germinate but if planted outside they could also be dug up and eaten by Mice
Thank you
