This kind of show is really creative when mixing and swapping real-life ingredients with fantasy ones and giving the monsters real-life animal traits, I bet they consulted nutritionists and biologists to make this series
It's also an interesting looking into adventuring. If you were going to be realistic about it. At least from a how do you carry the needed food, water, ect. How one needs a balanced diet to do all the physical stuff. Along with keeping your mind sharp.
A small detail i apreaciate: when Marcille got turned to stone, her clothes didnt turn with her. It makes sense since they arent part of her body, but many shows get that wrong
The Barometz Balut is one of the foods that I cannot blame Marcille for being against. Any person with morals would retch at that, but- needs must in the dungeon, I guess.
I don’t think morals really work here. Balut is basically duck or chicken fetus still in the shell and it’s considered a delicacy in several countries. A pseudo-sheep isn’t that much different.

The series is from kui ryoko, if anything, credit to her very creative mind and the love for food. She know what she cook and it’s good.
