Jefferson wrote the the most important document for the Independence but he didn't any shit for the independence of his slaves, so that's the point: his incongruity.
GayGeekGamer he actually wrote a condemnation of slavery but he didn’t want to offend the south colonies during a war So he wrote it out of the final draft
@@usmcmanatee2591 That idea doesn't really work because Jefferson didn't even believe that. He agreed that slavery was problematic (or something like that, condemned it etc.), but he could have done more and didn't, which is the criticism.
@@moeking3780 douglass had way to many lines and this was geared for him to win, jefffersons second verse did not have him throw any punchlines just talking about the problems and mistakes
I hate it when people don get the “Aw Fredrick, I’ve never heard a verse I dug less”.
Jonathan Wang Becuase the dug less is word play on “Douglass”.
@@lucaszavaluentie4855 I got it it's just not a good retort to everything Frederick Douglass said
you know what's funny? i guarantee most of the people who react don't understand half of these disses
VidsFuzion true dat
I know right? The Louisiana Purchase and 3/5 Compromise were two of the best ones, and nobody seemed to catch them.
What because they didn't react the way you wanted them to? Their Americans pretty sure they caught that
@@cctaytay56 lol, you overestimate my countrymen.
Fredrick Douglass won this battle!
His final verses are an atomic bomb against the entire image of Jefferson.
@@charlyrob7334 agreed you cant come back from that
hear dat bass?
Jefferson wins because he actually brought up multiple points Douglas only focused on slavery.
So true!

We all know slavery was bad, but at the time it was normal. They weren't seen as people. That's just how things were back then.

I don't know!
