I thought in watching her shows that she must have a good sense of humor. So glad to find out she did. She helped me so much in learning to sew and try new ideas. I miss her. I was glad to find some of her shows online now and get to stop and watch her again.
I watched this on PBSWisconsin last night. What a story. She was truly a trendsetter for women in America. She took a longtime form of art and made a successful family owned business out of her talent and insight. She brought so much to so many. May she rest in peace.
I live near Beaver Dam, and I've met Nancy at community events. She was kind, respectful and supportive of me as someone who went to the same university program as she did, and because I am a fellow author.
I am so sorry I missed this live event. You both bring back many memories of Nancy's Sewing Weekend. I was able to attend 32 years of that great event and sat in many of your classes. Nancy was my sewing teacher as she taught me so much in the sewing world. I have a sewing room that contains 90% of notions I purchased at Sewing Weekend or classes I attended at Beaver Dam. I will be in the front seat Thurs evening for the PBS special.

I AM IN A SHOCK, I STOP HAVING FREE TV SO LONG AGO I MISSED NEWS NATIONALY AND WORLD WIDE. OH MY GOODNESS
It's sad to see nearly all of the true garment sewing and quilting stars either passed away or long-retired.
