Yay! I managed to get rid of the pesky "I'm" at the beginning of my channel name! I'm super happy. 😊 A Big Big Thank You to subscriber Willy (and others) who pointed me in the right direction. I'm now simply called what was always my online handle: "Food4Dogs".
Your channel is a blessing. The gaming community can be quite childish and toxic. It feels so good having found a channel with so much passion with a more grown up, tolerant side to it. Thank you very much for making these videos. They make my day a better one in these difficult times. it's also nice of you teaching us about your experiences in your life. I respect that a lot. As someone in his mid 20's it's always fascinating to see where life can go and the experiences people had in their own youth or early adulthood.

Hi Britta! I'm one of your many recent subscribers and I've really been enjoying your content. :) However mundane you think this story is, I find it really fascinating! There's a story behind every username and I actually think the story behind Food4Dogs is super interesting. Your advice to recycle what you learn from experiences, even if they didn't pan out how you'd hoped, is very valuable and something I learn more every day. Keep up the great content, I love hearing these kinds of stories!
Ohh! I was one of the tons of people who asked you this question. I really appreciate that you took the time to make a video and explain it. Thank you.
Lady if is this story fall into your "mundane storys" I would LOVE to hear one of your non "mundane storys". This really was a fun and interesting story to me. Lots of love from Argentina!
Thanks for all you do! I've really enjoyed seeing your channel explode. I hope we see more thoughts from you after you play more Xenoblade X, my favorite Xeno game.
i’m glad that mishy is getting the rest he needs. running away from curious adventurers and also having a part time job as a youtuber assistant sounds exhausting. i’m also a poodle parent! i have a two year old moyen poodle named hermes, and i’m very finicky about his health as well, including his food. my family thinks that i’m something of a dog hypochondriac, but i just want the best for him. 😭 your experience with nutritious dog food actually sounds really interesting, it’s not a disappointing story at all. thanks for taking the time to explain. off topic, but your bookshelf looks really interesting!
Hi CJ, yea, we have a lot of books ... most of them stored in the garage bc - space, you know! Hermes is an excellent name for a poodle. Which colour? You just carry on being "finicky" and don't mind what anybody else says, including well-meaning family. Poodles are incredibly sensitive (as you'll know) and a good poodle parent picks up any small signals. Hermes is in good hands.
Food4Dogs i understand the struggle. i’ve mostly made the reluctant switch to ebooks, given just how much room they take up, but you can pry physical editions of art and making of books from my cold dead hands. 😤 hermes is mostly black, with a little tuft of white on his chin and a small spot of it on his chest. he’s a very handsome boy imo, but i’m also incredibly biased.
Love your work, really hope it starts a trend on RUclips for more reflective, down to earth content. Such a simple concept, sharing what you like without gimmicks. It's much needed in today's world, if you ask me.
I'm pleasantly surprised on your thought process in starting up a business and the journey. It helps me understand what to consider when that time comes for me, much love 💚💙
It’s such a lovely tale of how you felt welcomed in these communities and the way you felt you could share your insights and experiences. I think that’s really the true power of social media - in forging these smaller, close knit communities, and maybe sometimes looking out to the fringes of those spaces for new insights and friendships. Thank you for sharing!
I really enjoyed the story. You were right about recycling your twitter user name, because it was your unique and simple name that made me curious about your channel and watching it grow so much over the month I've been a subscriber has been pure joy. Thanks so much for continuing to make such enjoyable and interesting content. keep up the phenomenal work Britta. : D
Thanks for sharing this story is something I was planning to ask you and it's nice to know how faithful you have been to that name over the years and hey it's a very nice name and I think it's very funny that you say it's not interesting because at the end of the video it's just the opposite. Every time you share something of yours I'm sure it will be something very interesting. Love your shirt! Memorable name for sure 😊best wishes for Mishy!

Found your channel recently and I have to say I'm already a big fan. It's always so chilled and honest content. Thank you for a relaxing moment everytime I watch one of your videos
Lovely content on this channel, I also love that you have adopted the use of chapters for videos. Not many people use those. The old name Food4Dogs still works if you consider content food and subscribers the dogs who are being fed.
First off... Your assistant is very cute.. And your story about your name is awesome as well. I'm kinda sad that your business didn't take off like it should but if you think about it this channel and Twitter is kinda like a business. The name is understandable and easy to remember plus it does promote you as a streamer on here too. Yes you have answered my question very well and thank you so much for giving me an explanation to an awesome story.
I found your channel a few weeks ago, and over the course of this past week I’ve found myself spending hours watching your videos and scrolling through your channel. it’s really calming and refreshing listening someone talk with so much passion about videogames That’s why I think It was quite interesting to hear about your beginnings on the gaming community and then eventually on RUclips, and it was even more interesting to learn the origin of such a particular name. Now I really look forward for you to finally make a video on how you got into gaming, I think that would be really interesting to hear for many people. Keep it up with the videos and stay safe!
I'm mad it took me so long to find this channel. Love your videos and its really cool to see someone in their later years still be so passionate about gaming history and culture.
I actually never stopped to think and ask this question! Haha 😂 I really appreciate the explanation. I just got that plushie from my recent purchase of Akiba’s Beat and it was a pleasant surprise. Thanks again and be well. -Danny
I love your channel so much and I find it very nice to retreat to often. Thank you for inspiring me to play more video games, especially on the Vita my sister has. I'm currently making my way through Chrono Cross and really enjoying it! Than you.
This is an interesting story, thanks for telling us. Now I'm interested in PoodlePa, maybe a voice or face reveal in the future (if it hasn't been done yet, and if he accepts, obviously). Even if I started following you for the unboxing and "history of [saga]" I've come to love your videos about your past and hearing you telling a normal story so calmly and cheerfully makes my day, really. So thanks for the uploads Britta, you are making many people happy ^^
Makes sense! I really agree with your perspective on no experience being time wasted. I find that it's a healthy way to look at life, since you can always draw some kind of new knowledge from what you go through. That said, I think maybe part of why people get curious about the name is because one can interpret "I'm Food 4 Dogs" in a rather grim manner, as in "I am food that dogs will eat. Dogs are going to eat my body, which is nothing more than food for them."
Well, I would say, that's an extremely literal way of looking at and interpreting names. Especially names on RUclips, which tend to be colourful, inventive and often contain wordplay. I've finally been able to solve the pesky issue of removing the "I'm" from the channel name, hurrah.
I think it's a lovely channel name! It rolls off the tongue and is memorable. I love hearing the origins peoples' online handles, I myself have used the same username on various gaming platforms for a very long time and it has its own story as well, although I won't bore you. It's interesting how an unused Twitter for a business project would eventually become the name known to your rapidly growing subscriber base here on RUclips. As for the "I'm" debacle, the two names seem interchangeable, like how any other RUclipsr's channel name which might be abbreviated when spoken or written.
RIP Akihabara :..( I never got to see it... I just enjoy your stories, oh so much! Thank you, you give me strength to just go after dream :) (I want to start a RUclips channel, who doesn’t...)
What a lovely story to hear where your name came from lol, I was curious too, didn't think you actually made dog food, impressive. By the way, there is a way you can make your name 1 word only. I don't think you require a last name even though it says, just put Food4Dogs on the first name and leave last name blank. It works :) but the "I'm" part is not bad either, that works and sounds good lol.
Nice I was always curious about it, names and their origin stories are always neat, even though you and nobody else is obligated to explain why they name things the way they do cause it's yours at the end of the day. Keep up the wholesome content.

It's so satisfying watching your videos and hear your voice. Keep well! :)
I love your channel I was curious about the name, but I was just thinking oh what a cute unique name :) I loved all the history behind it too. Thank you for always great videos.
I had thought maybe you ran a dog rescue or something shelter related! Guess I wasn't too far off. Dog lovers are always great people. I'm one of your new flood of subscribers, but this is my first time commenting. Thank you for putting nice things into the world. 💕
Food4Dogs, You have some of the greatest commentary on all of RUclips. I love watching your videos just to hear your stories and experiences. I hope your channel can continue to grow, it's definitely one of my favorite ones to visit for a quick break of all the noise.
Nicknames / online handles and their origin stories are always fun and interesting! I think many people can relate to your story. The name might not reflect who you are today, but it's just how people came to know you. What surprised me most in this video was that your gaming passion only started recently (post 2000). I had imagined you were a gamer for much longer than that! Have you ever played Grandia or Grandia II? Those were my first JRPGs and I think they'd be right up your alley, there is a HD remake bundle on the Switch.
Hi marikaefer (cute name!) 😊 I just yesterday ordered a physical copy of the Switch remake bundle! So excited. I did play Grandia on my Vita, but never finished it bc tbh the pixels were just causing me such eyestrain. I know with the remaster I can now finally finish the story! Yea, I only started gaming in 2013. If you watch my Tech of My Childhood videos, I talk there about how video games didn't exist when I was a child. There will be a future video about how I got into gaming.
@@Food4Dogs I will check out that video you mentioned and am looking forward to hearing more about how you got into gaming. Also, yay! I hope you can enjoy the game without issues this time and have a lot of fun with it. To this day, the OST (of both games) is easily in my Top 5 and the characters are very dear to my heart. Hope you had a lovely sunday ❤
Aw shucks, I never finished Akiba's Beat. I was playing it through PS Now but I couldn't keep paying for the service and thus I never finished it. But I loved what I did play, I loved the characters, they're so charming. I may pick it up an actual copy after I finish some of the games on my backlog. Your PS Vita videos got me super interested in buying a Vita. But oh boy they're so expensive to import. I'm super into the orange slim, it looks so beautiful. Hope you have a rest of a good day, Food4Dogs.
I haven't finished it yet either. The good thing is that you can pick up a copy very cheaply - either physical or digital. It's always in PSN sales. Vitas are *now* getting more and more expensive by the day! The orange is much admired and very popular indeed.
This lady has the perfect voice to explain things.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight.
I absolutely love your channel! Keep up the great work!
that is a cute story, but even cuter is that you call your partner/husband PoodlePa !! So that means you're PoodleMa then?
Yes, that's right. Being more British English heritage here in New Zealand, I was a PoodleMum.
Thanks for the time stamps.
Never came so fast after receiving a notification video
😄 Hope it was worth it.
Hi marikaefer (cute name!) 😊
I just yesterday ordered a physical copy of the Switch remake bundle!
Hope you had a lovely sunday ❤
you wearing that shirt is such a power move
you are the loveliest role model
My curiosity about your name has finally been resolved. You have my eternal thanks.
