Absolute icon! Admittedly I learned about Pam through her later films like Jackie Brown and Bones, but I really enjoyed her work from the 1970s too. Well, the few I've seen anyway. What a trailblazer. Beautiful, resourceful, and a truly talented actress.

Pam Grier will always be the undisputed action queen alongside other titans like Cynthia Rothrock and honestly she is the superior choice to portray Amanda Waller in the new DCCU which should be in turn largely modeled after the DCAU.
Gorgeous then. Gorgeous Now. The only noticeable change in Pam Grier is some additional weight. But her Face, her Voice, her Poise, her "cool", her Power, her softness & Smile ... all unchanged. I always felt that Pam Grier never got the recognition of who she was & her impact in the Film Industry, especially for Women. She carved a very dedicated Path for Women Actors who could show a multitude of facets - they could be a tough, smart & sexy BadAss without losing, not only an ounce of their femininity, but seemed to actually INCREASE it. I think she was one Woman Actor who could be beautiful but revealed that intelligence was sexy. A powerful combination of multi-dimensional qualities which are true depictions of who Women really are. So many more interesting Characters & Roles started to be written after Pam Grier showed them both why it should and how it could be done.
