From the old banjoman, Denmark : That fiddling is really great, Ive learned a lot As well this number as the others, You are giving lectures in. Thanks so much. Salutes!!
This is amazing. I grew up playing violin through elementary through high school. I really wish I would have had a teacher that entire time that taught me like this. Damn. Awesome stuff.
Love your playing. I am a newbie fiddle player. I noticed you seemed to be looking at your fingers, and I wonder if not looking at your fingers that much might help with smoother playing. With touch typing not looking at your fingers when learning helps you gain great fluency in typing. Could the same be said for playing the fiddle?
He's probably looking at sheet music as he looks that direction when hes talking as well. I noticed after i got good enough looking at my fingers actually makes it harder to play. After you've played awhile your fingers just know where to go and make corrections based on sound and intonation. Even with shifting i practice moving to the same spot on feel and it just natural happens after you've done it a million times
Never heard faded loved played so beautifully. Love when to tracks are playing at the same time.
