Hey everyone thanks for watching. Got a little stuck in this video which can happen when you're out adventuring. Live to hear some stories from you of the worst time you have been stuck. Jason
Good job, patience pays off eventually :). I got pretty stuck a few days ago next to my driveway in the Colorado Rockies with our adventure Trailer as I was trying to drive past my wife's Jeep Patriot :( she ended up pulling my lifted Liberty out (with her Patriot).. My pride was a little hurt but was glad she was there :) and was nice to see how proud she was of her little Jeep. I elected to have no photographic evidence of my situation :)
Take to long to tell my story lol. Loved your video Jason and have to say thank you for reminding me where I should be right now lol. I haven’t been up there since Christmas. You know how it is, family, friends, holidays etc. I didn’t realize that it’s almost the middle of the month lol. So I’m gearing up for next weekend WOOHOO!!! Oh and don’t listen to the armchair road warriors lol I left a comment explaining why you might have chosen to not use chains which I agree with you on by the way. Anyway I’m actually hoping to meet up with you sometime this year. I only live just down the mountain aways. Cheers mate and happy trails
Your photography and production quality set you apart from the other camping/bushcraft channels. I believe the main reason people watch these videos is to vicariously experience the peace and tranquility of the outdoors. If you stick to this formula I think you are virtually guaranteed a huge chunk of the market - millions of subscribers. GO ALL IN!
I was deployed from mobile Ala to Kodiak Ak on fishier patrol in 1974, and spent three months in the Bering sea and was witness to what the real CG was about. Me and crew boarded with a Sikorsky HH52 single engine helicopter to support the ship if need be. The Bering sea was beyond my belief with 40+foot seas that the super structure bulkhead walls separated and my helicopter was damaged and was grounded. My point is the crew was great and never faltered in this one of many episodes. I am proud to have been one of the crew. ADC Jerry Upshaw
I have been watching your videos for a while now. They always are down to earth and calming no head banging music. I have been back in the brush with a 4 x 4 maybe 1/2 my life hunting and fishing. You see it over and over and I have done it myself. People tend to push their equipment no mater what they have until they get into a problem they can't get out of. You always exercise good judgment and seem to know when its time to cut and bail. That's what makes for a good video because its real.
YOUR MORE OUTGOING THAN MOST OF US. WE HAVE LOTS OF GEAR FOR MOST FOOLISH ADVENTURES AND STILL GET INTO STUCK SITUATIONS. CHEERS TO THE OUTDOOR ADVENTURES AND EDUCATION ONLY MISTAKES CAN TEACH US.
THANK YOU FOR GETTING BACK TO ME. WE GOT OUR FIRST SNOW YESTERDAY ABOUT 6 INCHES. BEAUTIFUL NOW IF EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IN IT ? BE SAFE! HAVE FUN! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS! ENJOY!
I’d say a day spent stuck, then finding a good camp.... is still better than a day banging nails! But I’m an old carpenter so any day in the woods is better than banging nails! Always enjoy watching your interaction with those dogs.... better companions can’t be found! Thanks for bringing us along, look forward to the next time!
I have had to chain up every winter for thirty years driving over the road hauling boats out of rose burg across hwy 20 thru sisters and down into Nevada was my favorite trips then to 80 all the way to the east coast I live your trips and central Oregon I traveled with all my dogs and had a blue heeler Roscoe for 17 years he never missed a mile. Thanks for the great videos
The drone footage of the white forrest was great and along the creek, really like the winter scenes. Time to visit Les Schawb for some good M&S tires. A lot of work getting unstuck but the winter camp looked good.
I am glad you enjoyed the drone footage. I already did visit Les Schwab those are brand new tires and I am very happy with their performance they got me much further than I would have gotten with my old TOYO tires I had
Jason that looked tough to make having to move cameras while trying to unstick the truck and trailer. Thank you for a great snow scene! You had the proper survival gear though with the Pendleton! Great video. Thanks for putting g this together. The drone video above the forest was the coolest along with pics of the dogs! Breakfast looked awesome! Happy New Year!
Thank you Peter wanting to work with camera's when stuck like that is not always high on my list but I need to share with you guys more when I run into challenges. Jason
Great to see another video up Jason. I appreciate you taking the time to record the challenges you run into and how you overcame them. Love your whole video format.
Thanks for filming and digging the truck out! People don’t realize how much work it is to film and editing takes hours. I really appreciate all the work, I am happy I found your channel. Thanks Bud!
Great video, as always, Jason! 2 inches of snow, and the world comes to an end here in East Texas! Love the snow blankets for the dogs! The drone view was beautiful.
Living the dream thanks for another great video. Thank you for a little footage of Daisy and Wheeler on the outdoor dog beds I do hope they enjoy them, Cheers.
Great video! Even though I am enjoying the AZ sun and warmth, I am missing the snowy mountains. There is nothing like the serenity of the mountains, my soul craves it! I needed the peace and quiet from your video. Thank you!
Jason thank you for sharing your experience and adventure with us. I am in NC and I have only seen this beautiful scenery in movies and pictures. I love your dogs are very well trained and you care so deeply for them. I am that way with my dogs. Thank you Jason for all hard work you put into your videos and photography.
I know the stucks can be frustrating, but you still got out there, and made one of your better videos. Looks like success to me. Don’t let the armchair commandos get you down. You’re out there every weekend in a stock truck while their modified grocery getters are sitting in the driveway with winches they don’t know how to use. Looks to me like you’re the one who is doing it right.
My neighbour has a big lifted giant tire type of truck. It sits in his driveway most of the time being modified or being washed. why I don’t know since it never gets dirty lol. Sometimes he takes it to work which is 4 miles from his house lol. I tried asking him about the cool adventures he must have in it but he had no stories to tell because it’s always in his driveway lol. Me, I have a Ram 1500 4x4 crew cab. I changed the rims and tires. It came with 20” rims and street tires so I put 17” rims and some mud terrain tires on it. That’s it that’s all I did except a camper shell. And I’m out in the forest more time than I’m at home lol. And I’m disabled lol. My neighbour is maybe 30 years old lol. I do great in the snow but I’m not pulling a trailer. Cheers mate and happy trails
Your evening camps look so relaxing and the two awesome relaxed just dogs add to the atmosphere. I will watch your videos when i want to wind down and relax. Cheers mate.
Really enjoyed your videos have seen you with Chad living the van life on his videos. Just adore your two dogs , great companions keep up the good work.
You might think its flat because of the fog but its still breath takingly beautiful! It makes me want to be there! You take some of the best videos I have ever seen, even of the fire! I would rather be camping in the winter! Its so beautiful and cozy! Lol Thank you for sharing a piece of your life with us! Stay warm! One more thing... I love your dogs! ☺
Awesome flow with your videos as if someone else is filming you. The dogs are thee best! Being a foster for New Hope Cattle Dog, I especially love your red heeler, and those eyes on you while you are preparing to eat. Thanks for sharing your travels. It looks like a life well lived.
I am a form believer in snow tires on my vehicles. It has made a world of difference in snow travel in my vehicles. Love your channel and dreaming of the day I can get to your area. I doubt I can handle the cold like you do.
The tires I have on the Ford are snow tires and they performed extremely well considering the conditions. I am sure you could handle the cold with no worries. Thanks for the comment. Jason
I absolutely love your videos. I live up in Canada and you've inspired me so much to go and camp even in freezing conditions. Can't wait to see your next adventures this winter :)
It's AWESOME that you show that getting stuck is ok and a good thing. (life reflection thought there)...glad you managed to have some away time and get out where you like to be. Your truck setup is coming along...trailer, box cover, new lights...next time maybe even tires with deeper grips...duratracs or something like that...anyway have a good pendleton night/day...peace
Lee the truck is coming a long and its getting a few more things done to it in the coming weeks. As far as tires I put the most aggressive tire I can buy that comes with a warranty on the truck, unless somebody starts paying for my tires that is the way it will always be. Jason
@@PrimalOutdoors Jason excuse my manners but it's not a good thing for your truck to get stuck in the snow like this. Another great video and some torture . I discovered your channel a few days ago threw Coyote Works. I used to live in central Oregon and used to explore a lot of that open country on my Motorcycle. Both you and Coyote Works have inspired me to try to move back up there by the summer. Thank you for sharing your videos and keep them coming.
been snow wheeling a lot in CO with my trucks..i usually use the quad and SxS but sometimes its too cold. been stuck quite afew times just part of the game. a winch will go a long way and a rear winch lol. I plan on getting 35 tires rear diff locks and gear reduction to help navigate through some of this snow. glad you used mud tracks gives me an idea how they perform plan on buying 6 - 8 tracks to make some nice runway on those drifts.

great videos. thank you for sharing. we don't have the opportunity to go snow camping here in Australia but it looks like something I would enjoy :) your country is absolutely beautiful
Need yourself a winch! But we’ve all been there. I drove into a snow filled ditch once even though I knew the area really well but I forgot there was a ditch there. Had to walk through the snowy desert to get my dads big old Chevy to pull me out. I was stuck for a few hours
Super glad you decided to shoot a evening scene. My wife I enjoy those slow motion fire/Pendleton scenes the most. Very calming and we feel like we are right there with u. Keep up the hard work we are loving it. P.S. ur killing me with those boards gotta get u some chains for the old ford. U would’ve made it to Jack lake no problem. 7 years ago my hunting group of 20 got snow drifted in 3-4foot overnight. Only truck that could crawl and claw its way out was a my old single cab 98 Chevy with chains. 5hrs to get 3 miles. It got stuck only once.
It wouldn't have been right with out sometime around the fire. I do have chains but I hardly ever use them because I have not had your same luck with them when it comes to deep snow. Jason
Happy New Year Jason. Terrific winter backcountry video. When the snow gets deep in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I usually chain up my 4x4 Ford F-150. Thanks for the sharing with us.

High centered in the blue mountains in Oregon. Thankfully mushroom hunters pulled me out
What kind of man lays down mats on the snow for his dogs. A Good man, enjoy watching how you care for you dogs, nature, and others, very humbling.

Another awesome video, Jason. Thanks! Love that area. Love the Oregon forestry road system, and you shine a light on it so well.
So glad you like it. It is awesome that Oregon has so many forest roads to explore.

Your dogs are so cute. The little one stares at you when you eat, with such beautiful begging eyes.
Thanks, Marie. Wheeler gets his fair share!

P.S. ur killing me with those boards gotta get u some chains for the old ford.

Happy New Year Jason. Terrific winter backcountry video. When the snow gets deep in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I usually chain up my 4x4 Ford F-150. Thanks for the sharing with us.
I have used chains before they just don't seem to help much when the snow starts piling up under the truck.
