Hi Glenn. It's Amanda. How are you? I'm doing well. Beautifully done. I just started listening to it just now. This is a beautiful piece of music. It reminds me in a way of a Gregorian chant. It's in a minor key, so it's very haunting and mysterious. This is my town, Van Zandt, whom I am assuming is the late Ronnie Van Zant brother. am I right?
Hi Amanda, I don't believe there is any connection between Townes Van Zandt and Ronnie Van Zant from Lynyrd Skynyrd. "Flying Shoes" does have some character of a Gregorian chant, but perhaps a little more interesting. I'm doing fine; I hope you are, too. - Glenn
@@glennwillow5124 i'm doing well. I know. It is a very interesting piece of music. I am going out to karaoke with the friend tonight, which is something I haven't done in a while. I'm going to a different place though. I do karaoke every once in a while at a veterans of foreign wars post in my area. I am not a veteran myself, but my grandfather was. Served in World War II and the Navy. he was also working for the Air Force as an electronic technician. He lived to be 99.

Anyhow, I did a tribute to Mr. Lightfoot this evening. Also giving them a little bit of trivia before I started to sing the piece. The piece I did was the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I know for sure Mr. Lightfoot was smiling down upon me as I sang that piece. I felt like I had to do a tribute to him, even though it is past his death date.
