I love that church clap she does when she comes to the mic
IAMVEBII me too!!
She is so young here... only 26 years old just beginning her ascent to Queen of Soul stardom... classic footage!
Twenty WHAAAAAAAAT? She look at least 38 !
I have loved this lady all my life. I learn and love some thing new about her every video I watch. She is like no other artist. She sang like no other at her reign her prime and in her latter years. I was and still am amazed ay how the crowd tries to run on stage to just touch her in this concet. I know she is loved but to see people go to that extreme and for us who have never seen that type of admiration for her is wonderful. Miss you like crazy Ms. Ree.
I had the privilege to take my mother to see her in concert here in Houston. Front row seats! She was amazing! Voice perfect! Room was hot, it’s true that she required room to be warm for her voice. We didn’t care, it was Aretha. All hail The Queen!
Her Majesty Queen Aretha rest in Heavenly Paradise 🙏🏽🎼🙏🏽🎼
Ms. Aretha Franklin is one of my FAVORITE FEMALE ARTIST.
Very Beautiful, Beautiful Singing Voice and Talented. I was a fan of Ms. Aretha Franklin eversince I was 10 years old!!
I will ALWAYS love ❤ her.
Lovely. Enchanting. Legendary. Smoking like a Chimney and Still Singing like The Angel of Angels. Only Aretha and Aretha Only. :-) You would have wanted to be there (in that elevating atmosphere). Thank you for the post & the playlist.
Hands Down! Your a true legend
im amazed... the energy... seeing her in her prime is wonderful
I was 11 when she did this concert.
uncredible !!! just superb !!!!
Incredible
I think Aretha felt like she needed Ted White to protect her. Her father had protected her and she married Ted who was older than her for protection. When she got tired of his abusive ways, she called it quits. I think at that time she realized that she was strong enough to protect herself.
I think your right
@@371superwoman Thank you. She developed into a strong, complex woman who had a talent unmatched by other talents.
In 1968 I think the demand for Aretha was beyond overwhelming. She just generally always looked exhausted in 1968. Her voice was amazing, but it always sounded tired to me. More than likely it is due to marriage issues, drinking, smoking, and constant performing and traveling.
Two whole cigarettes before she went on stage (and that's all they SHOWED she probably smoked more than that.) And she STILL KILLED IT! NEVER will there be another Aretha!
The audience went craaaaazy! 🥰
Wow!
Heel byzonder, zekers in 2020. Bedankt Wiilem van Kooten.
Joost den Draaier !!
My grandmother was 23 years old at this time . Would’ve loved to been around during this time
look at Ike Turner 01:36...smh... seems as though almost every major star has had one.
I called him Diddy 😂 evil as they get
she was 26 here
Looking like 46 easily
Marlon Wayans is going surprise us as Ted White when the Movie comes out!!!!
and he did just that! both he and jennifer did an amazing job. i saw the movie with a friend last night. 🤗
Lil Sis Carolyn. Who wrote "Aint no Way"
That Jet Lag in the beginning of the video Lol bless her heart!
Get it Ree, RIP mama sandwich!
I think they was throwing trash at her because they love her when she sing them Ted white said stop to safe Aretha
Everett Whitfield I think it was confetti
They were throwing flowers.
Eric Brown-Bey that makes me feel ALOT better!
@@lavendernoire7387 Good, Anybody who does respect Queen of Soul needs to fall off the face of the Earth.
Eric Brown-Bey I was upset when I seen them hurling crap at her! Even if it was flowers, it’s still a bit disrespectful imo. Like come on Paris! 😡
Look at Aretha’s Diddy on the side. Evil itself.
Does anyone know what she was saying @5:27-28 😂
Lala land
The only time i ever respected Ted is when he stood up to the disrespectful boys
This was the time that she was married to Ted White and he was very abusive to her💔🥺
