That situation was about Abraham's faith. Would he believe Gods promise that through Issac a great nation would be established that would bless the nations. Ot would he not believe. I have often said to my Christian friend that Jesus was an extra-terrestrial being. But he simply wouldn't accept that. I explained to him that the reason you find it hard to accept is because you are thinking on a very basic level. When someone says extra terrestrial, people think little green man in space craft. They are thinking of what we have been shown in movies and books, not what extra-terrestrial actually means. Regardless of what Jesus looked like, he by definition, is an extra-terrestrial being. Another question is: "Why is there such a wide variety in technology among the various gods?" I mean, look at descriptions of their vessels and how they are moved around. Even around the same time period we have rockets, anti-gravity, and propellers like on a helicopter. There is an idea that they crashed on Earth or settled here to escape a war and then created humans as a work force due to not having the tools needed to create normal automated harvesting and forging equipment and probably only having medical stuff available at the time. They may have kept enough knowledge to advance, though, or are simply far more intelligent than us. Over the millennia, they could have used what they had, and our efforts, to rebuild their technology and turn Earth into a proper colony. However, they may have migrated underground into cavities in the crust. So, it could be that the UFOs we see never came from outside of the solar system but are built here. Along the way, guilt may have gotten to them regarding us. Perhaps creating living robots was just as controversial for them as it would be for us and fighting broke out over it on a moral basis. After the Great Flood, they may have looked upon the survivors and had a sort of "You don't know what you have until it's gone" experience about us. Enlil certainly had a heel-face turn.

His (Daniken's) concepts of God is what I have been thinking Since I am about six years old.
