Got a store bought corned beef point that I wanna smoke. Should I soak it in water to get the salt out then season or get some smoke in it then braise it in beef stock? Any suggestions?
My experience with corner beef is that it's super salty. I'd smoke it and use it for beans or pastrami sandwiches. Soaking will draw out some of the salt on the exterior.
Just watched whole video, looks great. My wife wouldn't eat it though. She won't touch anything with fat, she actually prefers flat on brisket over point..
