In the first story the Necromancer Zarasso and his horde will try to rob a graveyard. But the graveyard is defended by heroes determined to stop the forces of evil!

Correction:
This was my first game trying to get the rules right. :-) I missed one thing in the beginning though.. The Priests and the Paladins have the ability Stalwart of faith, where they heal 1 damage every time they activate. One Paladin should have healed 2 damage and one priest 1 damage. In the end it did not affect the outcome of the battle.

Very cool! I'd heard about the game, but hadn't looked into it much. I like the idea, might have to pick this up. I'd be happy to watch any more Deth Wizard videos you feel like making. :-)

I've got the book open in front of me, so I can help with this one.
Dread Horde Master- can only recruit Rating 1 or 2 Minions, but he can make them explode.
War Reaper- front line melee Necromancer
Controller- takes other undead, really only good in Skirmish mode, as there are no undead to battle against in Story mode
Monster Master- can only ever recruit Rating 3 or 4 undead that are NOT Spirits, each undead they get has a minor stat bump
Spirit Caller- can ONLY recruit Spirits, and can summon more temporarily during the game
Stitcher- what we saw today :)

@@brianrayburn440Good description.. Besides the Stitcher, I’m intrigued by the War Reaper.. I think there are several cool powers that are well suited for that type.. I’ve heard rumors of a War Reaper Necromancer in the same area as Zarasso.. They might have to fight for the territory! 😊
@@ulcbattlereports7388yeah I am playing the war reaper and I am having a lot of fun . Unlike let’s say frostgrave where it is almost impossible to play a melee wizard , in Deth wizard playing a melee wizard works very well. You won’t have as much necro power as a truer spellslinger but I do love getting up close instead of hiding in the back.
Death Wizards looks awesome! Is the terrain from Battlesystem?
Correct.. most of the ruins are Battle Systems ruined village.. There are also bits from Green Stuff World and some homemade stuff.. Thanks for watching 😊
I just discovered your channel because I was looking for Deth Wizards content, You do an excellent job of visually backing up the game action (showing the to-hit values, the bonuses in play, etc.). Makes it much easier to follow the action! Nice battle report! One rules detail I discovered while watching: the re-roll of necromatic hits on Paladins does not include Critical Hits, I believe: Vince mentioned this somewhere in one of the release videos, and the faq repeats it: Crits always hit. But the wording on the Paladin ability is unfortunate: what is a "successful" dice roll? Anyway, might need clarification from Vince. Thanks for a very effective video!

Thoroughly enjoyable report to watch! Took me a while to get to it, but was well worth making the time. Really liked the dramatic death spins you gave each mini, was a very good touch. Definitely looking forward to where this story continues and what Zarasso and his horde get up to. Once again, introducing an interesting and reasonably affordable tabletop game. I'll have to start saying "ULC Battle Reports sent me" :D
Also finally got around to cleaning up a small area of table to test play Sword Weirdos a few times (I only have fantasy minis right now), and the last match had a surprising turnaround for what had been the badly losing side in the third round became a hard-won victory in the fourth round! Though in hindsight I had made a rules mistake at the pivotal moment which very likely contributed to the sudden change in the game; I only had some coins on hand for tokens, using one side for stunned and the other for activated, and accidentally removed a stun marker I shouldn't have. Made for a very exciting game, though!
