Glad you enjoyed this one. AP comps are a fun middle between the official, serious US Coffee Champs and a laid back coffee event. We may have a stone fruit flavor call in the next episode...
@@MirrorCoffeeRoasters Sounds like fun, I haven’t been to a “serious” coffee comp yet. Though I do watch us and worlds brewers and barista pretty religiously Stone fruit has been on sabbatical 😂
I really enjoyed this conversation, it’s got me excited to see how I can do in Arkansas. I took 2nd to Ben Jones in 2016, so we’ll see if an old man can keep up with you amazing brewers! See you there.
I think the fun part is that the judges, isn't calibrated. They point in the moment to best coffee. I cupped coffee after the judges tested it and many coffee was really so simulator. One trend i think is common is to highlight the sweetness, and people forgetting the acid part of the coffee. God luck In the competition!!!
Much love for the mention. Huge fan of you two. And it was so good to connect up with you both when I was down in Bellingham.
Thanks Tyler! Always a pleasure seeing you
What a fun story of the comp!
I think that AP comps sound like a lot of fun.
Latte art throwdowns are always a blast.

You have a point. It adds to the suspense, competition, challenge, and more.
Drinking Tim Wendelboe while talking about an Aeropress competition is very appropriate considering the Aeropress competition started in his roastery.
That is very well said! That should have been mentioned in the episode!
