- The M18 Hellcat in War Thunder is a US Tank Destroyer that Gaijin have now decided is a Light Tank! This means the famous M18 can now scout targets while speeding about the battlefield until its heart is content.
Or... it can speed about the Battlefield until you spawn a Nuke! That's right! I get a nuke with an M18 Hellcat!
Honestly, this was really fun to play in War Thunder since this little guy despite coming from 4.7 all the way up to 5.7 is still pretty competitive if you know what you're doing!

its been a long time since Gaijin made the m18 Hellcat a light vehicle, but they never moved it in the tech tree.
it still sits in the Tank destroyer line, even tho there is no reason for it not to be moved over to the light tank line. same with Chinese m18.
I was in the game and on the same team where he got the nuke. Got a couple of assists off his kills. Didn’t realise it was him at the time and kept thinking “Someone over in A is really helping with all that scouting.”

@@Proffo7 Yeah, after I capped C I killed an M41 who revenge bombed me. I respawned in SPAA hoping to revenge kill him but Bawz was on his way with the nuke.
I was on his team when he got the nuke with the AU-1, he even commented on my assists at the end xD
The only celeb i’ve encountered in game was Hunter, and it’s safe to say we got steamrolled lmao.
e: actually, I was in Odd’s game once, the one where he’s using the Japanese MLRS on a desert map. When he dies and you can see the chat, you can see where I said ‘ODDBAWZ’
I've seen Tigers so blind that they've ran into me while I was repairing and they were searching for me (in a forest) and after running into me, continued to drive off and continue searching

I did not notice in most of my 76 mm vehicles in US tech tree that the default shell switched to solid shot, which cost me a couple of games.
Happened to me as well, I was putting shells into tanks that would of been one hit kills with the M62 APCBC shell all evening only afterwards did I notice that gaijin swapped it with useless M79.
It really bummed me out because I hadn't aced the m4a3 so it only has solid shot, the worst part is it's not even ballistic capped so it has like no spalling

The bulldog is absolutely insane with it's gun performance and pure mobility options. Really opened my eyes to the light tank lifestyle!
Seeing Odd wreck the enemy makes me want to load up Warthunder and play but I then remember when I do play I always get teammates who jump back to the hanger after one death and I'm not talking about only one player I'm talking 4 or 5 players do this fairly commonly.
I would play the M18 but for some odd reason gaijin taketh away some of my modifications for it and now I dont have M62 which is a horror

Recently I roleplayed as a guided rocket in my Ar-234-B2 and crashed into a nuke carrying bomber. I got the kill, he still got the nuke off. So everyone was happy :D

They did that ammo swap for the M10 also
It started with its best round and the solid shot was the researchable one.
Course I thankfully already got through all that so the switchout didnt affect me. But yeah.

Heya Oddbawz, love the content! also after dropping the nuke if you rapidly change camera view (cockpit to third person and vice versa) youll skip the locked nuke camera and can see the nuke explosion from your plane =)

The default shot g4etting changes was on a LOT of tanks and it was SOOOOOOO frustrating

Hi Odd, love the content! Please consider playing the Charioteer Mk. VII. The 20 pdr at 6.3 is excellent, It has Solid shot APCBC with penetration on par with the Long 88 and APDS with 285mm pen at point blank. The mobility forwards is solid however, being based on the Cromwell chassis, it's horrible in reverse.
M18 is overall a good tank

Should call this the underdog series and play all the under played or underrated tanks/planes according to the latest patch. Would ask for warship gameplay but no youtubers plays ship game modes these days.

@oddBawZ you know the changes to the american 76mm ammo also now means you have to pay for your APHE since it is no longer the default shell

Managed to ammo rack an FV4005 in my 50mm Pak Puma at literally point blank range. I think my tank was returned to nature at an atomic level.

Fun fact, I play on Xbox and they got an exclusive prem F4U-4B and it didn’t get moved up to 6.0 with the rest earlier this year :D

I suggest you take the Lorraine 40t out for a few games. The thing has almost nothing going for it at its BR apart from its autoloader which it needs since you're most likely spending two or more rounds to take out any vehicle you meet. Its mobility used to be good at its BR, but now there's so many other light vehicles that are more mobile and can do what it does better.
I like the bulldog more, and I would like you to play the p-61-c1

Ugh I fuckin love when you play a vehicle I play. As a mid-BR player I stick between 5.3 and 7.3, mostly playing 5.3 and 5.7 US. I appreciate your videos, even though they consistently make me realize how bad I am at this game. Cheers.
I don't even use the other 5.7s. I got the premium hellcat as part of a pack a long time ago and just rock both hellcats
Community question (binoculars): Regarding the slow binoculars, other than increasing 'aim sensitivity', or holding 'mouse camera free look' (C-button), is there any way to increase (or normalize) the rotation speed while using binoculars?.

Binoculars move as fast as I can move my mouse on all vehicles. Something is broken on your end.

I have only seen 2 nukes one was when I got it but was shot down by a friendly the other was the enemy team got it.
I wanna see you play the M56. I'm running 7.0 USA with M56, T29, T20, T26E5 and T92 with the M42 as my SPAA. Horrible line-up with two premiums 😂 but I played my way to the rank. I didn't buy my way to it.

Wouldn't really do much. The breach is designed to contain explosions.
There actually were plans for a closed top m18 hellcat and 1 got halfway finished then the war ended
