Ramesh’s guru was Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, whose famed book I Am That is considered a modern spiritual classic. With the blessings of Ramesh, Gautam went on to write books based on his experience with the teaching.

Thank you Gautam. I do love you. You are still like a father to me and I lost my father at 25 years old so it’s very comforting. Your way of teaching is so calming, soothing and nurturing. It’s been helpful to remember today that a transformation has taken place and a transformation continues to take place in each moment. I’m doing the work and resting and being, because I don’t want to bypass my suffering or get stuck in it. Consciousness is transforming it for me in many ways, but leaning into the heart including its past sorrow instead of avoiding it, is also transformative.
