Nice location, think I prefer the first shot from where you were doing all the set up in the video but the colours are lovely in there but obviously very tight
Love an old chapel and the colours are amazing, one added to my map if i ever go there.. as.for.seing on the channel what about some blogs behind the scene on the tours ? Like pov style as you walking round talking to the people and helping them asl about what they like about the style and how they got into it ?
I am curious about the all-seeing eye in the triangle on the ceiling. I have never before seen this in a religious context. Any chance of a copy of the image?
In late Renaissance European iconography, the Eye, surrounded by a triangle, was an explicit symbol of the Christian Holy Trinity. It dates back to the 8th century - perhaps present here as it is rural and those traditions were passed on.
Yes it would - if you don’t own Canon. It is so weird and unreliable / disconnects etc. Talking of canon - Amazon UK had a selection of Canon R8s this morning for sale (new) for £799 for Prime Day. Insane value - I went back on a few hours later to buy it - the limited number had been sold out.
@@JamesKerwin Having just watched the launch and truly spectacular as the R1 and R5 MkII are they are not relevant to me as a 78 year old enthusiast. My 1DX MkII covers wildlife and my R covers landscapes so only new lenses are truly attractive to me :)
@@johnhaynes9910I am not sure there is much in new cameras that help static subjects these days. So for architecture not much helps - the main thing that appeals to me is less of the "wobble" in the video now. But as this channel has limited reach - I also can't justify an upgrade just for that. The wifi mode hasn't been touched either by the look of it.
A couple of videos left in this series - I will then produce a Croatia / Balkans overview video. What would you like to see next on the channel?
I'm curious to see your process in finding the locations that you photograph. You always seem to find some real gems.

Great final result dude! Just enough space for one I reckon.
The eye really grabs the attention. It's creepy but a powerful detail.
👍

I am doing this in Romania in September as I have a driver. When I am driving - it's a tough ask. Cheers!

@@JamesKerwin Thanks!
Would using a WiFi camera app on a smart phone be possible when shooting in tight spaces ?

@@JamesKerwin Canon are launching the R5 MkII and R1 tomorrow But both out of my price point :)
@johnhaynes9910 yeah I know. I will do a video about it - I won't be upgrading just yet tbh.

i am curious, who give u permission to open that chapel?
It is open. Tied with a piece of string to stop the birds getting inside by a farmer (who saw me and didn't care) because it is disused and forgotten.
