Love the website, I think it would be cool to give your reviews a best out of 5 score or something like that after you go through the pros and cons. I think it would help more visual people (like myself) ascertain a final conclusion better than or past the summary...just a thought
Essential education... Hopefully it's well received and understood. I think many see stock splits as some sort of magic bullet ensuring profits going forward, which quite simply isn't the case. Happy investing on a tough day folks.
THANK YOU!!! You have been the only one who has TRULY help me understand! I do fractional shares a lot, BUT this stock split almost had me thinking Ibwas truly only SOMETHING as in a whole share. Thanks!
Thank you for this! I often get completely confused and overwhelmed when trying to understand financial things, but I find your channel so helpful because you explain things in a way that I can understand! Thank you!
Nice explanation including the reverse split. It’s amazing how both Apple and Tesla stock price has reacted to the split. What are your thoughts on who might be next?
missed your videos!!! I heard everybody talking about the split, and I supposed that it might be something like that, however, this explanation was great for a lvl1 noob like me! thanks!
The example on the end of video is 100%, as always love the content and these youngsters don't know how lucky they are with fractional shares nowadays. I used to have to walk up the hill both ways to buy a stock.
I really enjoy all of your content, can’t wait till more! U inspired me to make my own channel about finance, stocks, business, real estate and more! I’m 13 with about $1700 in stocks
I was interested to see what happens with dividends in a stock split. I expected that in a 2 for 1 split, the yield will be divided by 2, but no - it stayed the same. So, essentially, the company stock is splitting by issuing more shares and shareholders are actually getting more dividends for no additional investment. That's like free money!
I really appreciate your shows. It would be nice if you clearly indicated what is sponsored opinion and what is independent opinion. However, it's really pretty easy to tell without that disclaimer. Thanks!
If the market capitalization was moving along with the splitting numbers, then that'd interesting. 😁 Now, 🤔 what would happen if Tesla's stocks were to reach the $2,000-price range again, would Musk be able to offer another 5-for-1 stock split? 🤔 Is that even possible? I'm a beginner Gen Y investor and have been learning about the market stock for the past 3 years. Don't mind me asking "silly" questions. Thanks for sharing useful and good contents with the RUclips community! 🤝 Keep up the awesome reviews! 👍
What about people that can’t or don’t do fractional shares I imagine there’s quite a bit. I’ve also heard there’s quite a few nations that do no have options for fractional sharing is that true?
You did miss to cover one point. When you are talking about stock price you should explain both. - the nominal stock price i.e. what is printed on the stock and - the trading at price. I still lack clarity of the actually effect of a 2:1 stock split say from 1x $100 into 2x$50 has on the market value of the price - If the market traded as price before the split was $100 ... does this mean that the market must correct it down to $50 after the split and this never happens. If price remains the same at $100 what does it mean you get 2 shares of $50 each ? but then why price is still shown as $100.
I wont judge your video but if you want to be be better than anyone else you need to explain effect in extreme granularity, else you are just talking about the obvious just like everyone else. i.e. providing no real value to the listener.
So.. if I bought 100 shares of Tesla @$21 a share in 2017 and it's had 2 splits since ...3:1 & 5:1 ..essentially giving me 1500 shares can I sell the 1500 shares at today's price (approx $210/share) or would the 1500 shares sell for the original $21?
Why can't i see the drop in price that is caused due to the stock split in the trading view chart. For example telsa waa over 1500 usd before 1:5 stock split but if i open the trading view chart now i don't see any candles near that price when the split happened but they were there before the split
Don’t stock splits help current investors? Say I have 10 shares and the stock split gave me 20. Then with the post split rise took the price up $1. I just made $20 as opposed to $10 if the stock didn’t split correct?
I know I'm late but I have a question that has been bothering me. Say there is a 2:1 stock split. I had 50 shares valued at $50. Now I have 100 shares valued at $50. If the stock runs back up after the split, do I make 100 shares worth of gains, or 50 shares worth of gains. Like does the value only stay equal for the split?
Sorry if I sound dumb, I understand about buying in at a lower price for 1 share, but what about the shares I already own? Lets say I have 1 share and they do a 2 for 1 split, does that mean I now own 2 shares? And, is that a good thing if the price of the share sky rockets in 5 years because now I have 2 shares instead of one? I dont understand how this affects the current shares I already have, and if its wise to purchase BEFORE or AFTER the split ... sorry, Im really new to this
*Hey Everybody I've been working hard on my website **www.whiteboardfinance.com** Check it out and let me know what you think!*
Can you please make a video about Crypto and what's your opinion about it
A little less white and a little more board would be my recommendation
Hi Marko

Agreed and will do, still a work in progress. Thank you
23 mins and only 623 views, this makes me sad as it’s a really good channel. More power to you Marko.
Potential winning numbers for the Win 3 lotto. 🤣
Thanks. I strive for all value and no fluff in every video I make.
Most people want to see and watch trash instead of learn what that Rich and Wealthy don't want you to know smh.
Marko - WhiteBoard Finance keep getting better man!

Thanks Marko! You do such a great job of breaking things down in a way everyone can understand.
Best financial info youtuber out there ..great job Marko
You clearly explain stocks better than any lecture or class I've taken.
Nice explanation including the reverse split. It’s amazing how both Apple and Tesla stock price has reacted to the split. What are your thoughts on who might be next?

When two stocks decide they don't like each other anymore?
Ha😂
Great job explaining this Marko. You're the man!
Good job explaining splits, friend. Looking forward to reviewing your content.

you are not getting free money lol, the % stays the same but it is relative to a smaller share price now.
this is such a great video! thank you for sharing marko!
Was looking for Stock splits. Thanks Marko
Thanks for another great video! Don't keep us waiting next time
He says he’s old, love it. Also love the comment at the end. Paper route millionaire, or not.
I really appreciate your shows. It would be nice if you clearly indicated what is sponsored opinion and what is independent opinion. However, it's really pretty easy to tell without that disclaimer. Thanks!
Nothing is sponsored opinion on this channel
Great content. You've gave me so much more knowledge that I can use to make better market decisions. Can't wait to buy my first couple stocks.
Nice! Thank you for the channel and information. Well done and I like the fact that a “kid” with a paper route can participate. 😊
Great video, PRICE vs VALUE is always forgotten.
Thank you for explaining this better than my Financial accounting book.
Yo that ending beat is fire!
That's a very interesting topic. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for such a clear explanation.
Stock splits are apparently a reason to buy more stocks, even though it changes nothing when it comes to the fundamentals of the company 😆
Yeap. But sure gets a lot of media attention when Tesla and apple are doing it 🤦♂️

Very good educational video! Thank you
The more you know! But, as they say, success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.
Thank you! And clean cut my g

I loved the comment at the end xD - paper route boy will be broke!
What is a stock split? It’s code word for Apple and Tesla will go up to infinity and beyond!
Thank you for the breakdown. Quick and dirty!
Thanks for the explanation brother
Brilliant bro! respect
great video as always.
Much appreciated, you saved me tons of research! 🙏🏾
Your website looks very interesting, and educative. I'm not done with it yet so i'll give you more of my opinion later on

Lol ty

Thank you. And also, nice hair. 😁
so exciting to watch the market right now.
Very informative Thanks Marko!
Fantastic content!
Thank you so much Marko. Funny enough I requested you to make this video in another post. Do you think Amazon is next (after Apple and Tesla)?
Thanks for your explanation! 🙏
To Everyone: Make 2020 your year! 💪
Great video!! It's interesting comparing Berkshire Hathaway with the likes of Apple and Tesla.
Thank you very much for the explanation. :)
Liked the usage of word 'perceive' - nail to the coffin!
This was awesome, thank you
When a split happens does my original investment maintain tge same value just increase in share or what?
Can you open one more button down in your next video? Thanks!
Lmao
Story of my life " oh I'm buying the dip forget the price" hahaha
Marco just hit us with "ANOTHER ONE." We should call you DJ Khalid from now on.
Can you make video talking about what happens long term if you buy low.
Great channel
Marko: posts video.
Me: likes video.

Foresee more stock splits coming as companies see what happened with Apple and Tesla
I’m soooo confused so did I lose money I had a reverse stock split 1:20 😢
Are splits even necessary when fractional trading exists? People can just buy whatever dollar amount they want
You did miss to cover one point. When you are talking about stock price you should explain both. - the nominal stock price i.e. what is printed on the stock and - the trading at price. You know you're onto something, when a majority of commenters here are financial channels.
Thanks for explain, will i get additional shares after the initial stock splits when i buy certain company, e.g. tesla‘s fractional shares?
So.. if I bought 100 shares of Tesla @$21 a share in 2017 and it's had 2 splits since ...3:1 & 5:1 ..essentially giving me 1500 shares can I sell the 1500 shares at today's price (approx $210/share) or would the 1500 shares sell for the original $21?
how is the new price determined in reverse stock split? Is it on the day of the split based on market value?
Great vid
Will it not aswell give the retail investor the possibility to realise some profits, without having to part ways with the company totaly?
I don't understand. I bought shoe carnival for 60 and it split to 30. I still only have 1 share and I'm down $30.
For fractional sales, how does the remainder of the fractional shares get fulfilled by the stock brokerage?
Why can't i see the drop in price that is caused due to the stock split in the trading view chart. For example telsa waa over 1500 usd before 1:5 stock split but if i open the trading view chart now i don't see any candles near that price when the split happened but they were there before the split
Great stuff! They are much ado about nothing indeed

Hey, what are you thoughts on the timing of Apple's split with their new product release coming?
Don’t stock splits help current investors? Say I have 10 shares and the stock split gave me 20. Then with the post split rise took the price up $1. I just made $20 as opposed to $10 if the stock didn’t split correct?
So. Rn amazon is at 124 dollars used to be over 2k is buying a couple shares a smart idea or are you not really making money ?
I know I'm late but I have a question that has been bothering me. Say there is a 2:1 stock split. I had 50 shares valued at $50. Now I have 100 shares valued at $50.
