I was a 13-year-old kid just getting into metal when this came out in 2002, and now I'm 35! It's still just as good as it was when it came out back then!
This. This right here. If this doesn't send chills throughout your body....idk what else to say to you. The guys who started the Almighty Norma Jean, up there with the guys who have carried it for the last 20 years. This is special on so many accounts.
Not a fan of Josh anymore. Without getting into it too far, when he was touring with the 68 this last year I went to see them being a huge fan for a long time. Let's just say Josh wasn't friendly at all when I hung out for hours after the show was over just to get a picture with him. Nikko (the drummer) was super friendly and cool. Josh was not.
Daniel was a beast, the album he did with Underoath was by far their best in my opinion, like Norma Jean lite (which was still the heaviest Underoath there is)
Ayyyy, I remember seeing Luti-Kriss open for Living Sacrifice back in 2001. Now that was energy and they didnt have to worry about their gear getting messed up by kids running on stage.
The most iconic opening riff, song and callout (like bringing a knife to a gun fight) of all time. Literally jumped started my love for heavy music back in 2003. I had the pleasure to see them with ETID in 2007 while I was on a deployment in Australia. So bummed I couldn’t make it to FF ‘24. That line up was basically my entire CD booklet lol
UNBELIEVABLE the emotions were so high. The minute you join the founding members with the current members of the band and the commradery, the love for the music. and the power this song has always had, was truly an unforgettable moment for all those there. Now the people who couldn't see it because of so much of the crowd on the stage, YOU have made it possible for people to relive the joy of the moment over and over, Thank you big time.! PRICELESS! I have known the band since it's beginning and I got emotional. Thank you.
I just sobbed for 20 minutes straight. I love how Cory has embraced every aspect of this band. They really are The Almighty Norma Jean. A band for the people.
Such am amazing band...the dynamics are nothing short of addictive and they ALWAYS slap!!! Banger after BANGER year after YEAR!!! ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY NORMA JEAN 🙌🏿🤙🤗
INSANE so happy josh still comes out and performs this with them from time to time. scott and chris being there too is incredible. this crowd got such a treat
So there are two bands that consistently play 1 of their songs and it’s some of the purest examples of what metal/hardcore music represents Norma Jean playing Memphis will be laid to waste. Video after video you can find crowds going absolute fucking nuts the fusion of crowd/energy/band is so perfect that it’s hard to put into actual word Counterparts playing the disconnect.
@@rumtastic Josh, derr, and Scottie were founding members of nj. There are no remaining original members still in the band. So it’s a big deal to us old people😂
And noone can deny the awesome humility and respect that Cory has for Josh ... Just ❤...how can you NOT just fucking ADORE that kind of mind frame and god willing, your seeds will turn out maybe half as good as Cory is!!! An amazing person!!! I can say that from personal experience as well!!! Honestly, the entire band!!! Fuck it up fellas!!!🎉🎉🎉💯
They need to do a "Bless the Martyr Tour" with the proper lineup! It's time! Or at least a one-off thing like what mewithoutYou did with the "[A-->B] Live" show.
the person walking casually across the platform in the front of the stage to get to their friends at around the 1:15 mark is never going to leave my brain.
MY 19yo self just got Goosebumps once again… I am currently 41.
Same, 38-17

Cory is the only one who has been there for 20 years, the rest of the band has only been there for the past 5 lol
Nop. Not at all.
It is amazing on multiple levels.
@@KevinQ25 I’m aware of that. Perhaps I should have said “the guys who have helped carry it”

The drummer is the one who should be getting credit here. Daniel’s parts on this album were brilliant and he’s nailing it.

Josh is such a beast. All gas, no brakes. Doesn't even stop to breathe and screams with everything he has.
Priceless human being inside and out
jesus christ i need the chariot to come back
absolute facts bro 🥲
100 % I think it time .. they have been sleeping for a long time .
This is luti-kriss

You're a real one for knowing this!
@@boomerbutler7569 just old first time I saw them was at club 412 in fort worth opening for travail
Came to say the same thing
Omg, I forgot about living sacrifice.
"It's all coming back to me nooooow"
Thank you!
Josh will never lose it
Should say Norma Jean (ft. Norma Jean)

Song is amazing, but that record? Phenomenal. Still untouchable in my opinion.
LONG LIVE
I remember when this song first came out in 2002 (I was 13) and it's aged like fine wine. So good.
The energy is this place is absolutely insane
I'm a grown man tearing up. All hail Josh Scogin
The absolute best part of the weekend 🙌🏻🤯
This is so special. Full body chills
I was not really sober at the time but when Scottie and Derr came out I almost cried! I knew Josh was coming.
I must be losing some lore here. Who are they, members of Compromise or some associated band?

Shoulda rode in on a Chariot! Royalty
holy sh!t its Josh !!!!
So fucking happy to say I was there
Love this
Not only did I get snubbed on that high five but I also got fucking absolutely crushed 😂
Time of my life ❤❤❤❤
Dudes rock
Straight chills! So amazing
Art.
when your homie finds out you work near the venue and asked you if you could play at least 1 song.
"no prob!"
😂
AMAZING!!!!!!
this is scogin coming back to norma jean like hella
This is absolute magic. Had Aaron Weiss come out, I would have lost it.
Amazing!
Wow… had to get off the couch and head to the other room so I could move around like I knew I needed to. This is what it’s fucking about.
The king of Zambia approves
Holy fuck yes

holy heck, and then back again! what a legend.
Fuck Yes! gave me feels
Now only if Aaron was there
I saw him with them once. When Josh was still in the band. Damn I'm old. But that was a legendary show
He came out during the 68’ set on the last mwY tour in Atlanta and they played it. Closest thing I’ve seen.
Or Daniel Davison.
I see you!
Where you at?
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
❤
fuckin sick
Josh, Chris and Scottie should reboot Luti-Kriss.
This isn't just ft Josh, two other original members came out
@@virtual_balboa I’m aware that Chris and Scottie were on stage as well. Thanks.
LFGGGGG
The man shows up in a suit haha. Was he at a wedding?

Google is free you fucking pleb
'68 performs that way. He was probably dressed for their performance. Haven't looked at the schedule to see if they played though.
68 played
He’s a classy dude lol 🤷🏻♂️
red shorts mr look at me not getting off stage
This is Norma Jean.
Chris looking skinny!
Why does shit like this happen in fuckin Alabama?
because Furnace Fest is a special thing.
This band needs the OG’s back. No offense to the current lineup, but thats reality…
Palma Pike
The only way this could be better is if Aaron Weiss was there too.
Mediocrity is indeed a killer.
goose on drums?
Pretty sure it’s their current drummer Matt
That would have been way too sick.
Goose was there earlier in the weekend with BL but wasn't there Sunday when this happened.
To the untrained eye this appears to be a confusing catharsis of sounds and emotion. To an NJ fan…it’s home.
Too many people not enough stage
Not me holding back tears watching this in line at the DOT 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
