올바른 그립 잡는 방법과 그 활용 방법을 알아보자
볼을 잡는 것을 그립(Grip)이라고 하며 컨벤셔널 그립
(Conventional Grip), 세미 핑거 그립(Semi- Finger grip),
핑거 팁 그립(Finger-Tip Grip) 등 크게 3가지로 분류됩니다.
① 컨벤셔널 그립(Conventional Grip) : 엄지를 그 뿌리까지 완전히
넣고 중지와 약지의 제 2 관절까지 집어 넣는 방법으로 볼을 잡기에
편합니다. 스트레이트 볼을 구사하는 초급 볼러나 여성 볼러에게
좋으나 리프팅이 적어 핀 액션이 많지 않습니다.
② 세미 핑거 그립(Semi-Finger Grip) : 엄지를 그 뿌리까지 완전히 넣고
중지와 약지를 제 1 관절과 제 2 관절 중간까지 넣는 방법으로 훅양을
적게 만들어 냅니다.
③ 핑거 팁 그립(Finger-Tip Grip) : 엄지를 그 뿌리까지 완전히 넣고
중지와 약지의 제 1 관절만 넣어서 잡는 방법으로 풀 핑거 그립
(Full Finger Grip)이라 하며 리프팅이 많아 볼에 회전을 가할 수
있어 핀 액션이 강하게 나타납니다. 초급 볼러에겐 볼의 무게를
느껴 안정감이 낮으나 볼에 대한 감각과 컨트롤이 용이한 장점이
있습니다.
