Love y'all but door dash is NOT good for restaurants. They, like Uber, take 30% from restaurants, which is huge for small independent restaurants who are already operating on slim margins when there isn't a pandemic. They also treat their delivery folks like shit and go out of their way to crush any organizing that might allow them to have a modicum of benefits or rights. Matty - you should know this shit!!!
Yet restaurants still use it. It’s not like they’re being forced to. No delivery company is forcing anyone to work for them either. It’s clearly not ideal, but the market is there, and this pandemic is causing people and small businesses to seek any way to make money. Haha 2 tone said the same thing I’m saying while I’m writing this last sentence.
