- In 2015, we visited Lafayette, Indiana to capture freight action on both NS and CSX. We also encountered Amtrak's Hoosier State (months before Iowa Pacific's take-over), a Cascade Service locomotive, Lake State Railway SD40-2s on CSX, High Hoods, and much more!

No matter how many times I watch these videos they don’t get old at all. When I was a kid my dad built a train layout in the garage. Two 4’x8’ sections. What a blast it was to play with.
Bass bass and more bass! Love it! Another DIB great.
Another great video. Always enjoy watching them. Keep up the fine work.
That CSX GP30 is a nice treat for the eyes, great to see some NS high hoods still doing some action too!
Great video, not much whistle which is nice.
The best video I've seen in years. You caught the old school stuff...new stuff, beautiful architecture. Very nice job!

AWESOME VIDEO MAN! I railfan here a lot so I am glad to see that someone else went there!
Excellent video, they two GPs were sure working for their money.
Fantastic as usual!
The switching sequence involving 6098 and 1546 must be called speed switching. I've not seen engines come to a complete stop and reverse or go forward so quickly. I think the engineer must be a fan of top fuel dragsters or funny cars.
I already miss C40-8's on CSX they are my FAV locomotive!
I like the B40-8's myself. Especially 3 in a row pulling a pig train. Those were the days.
Great video.
Railroad shops has seen better days. It should be remodeled. It was a great building at one time. Great video
For a Saturday night a glass of red wine and one of your videos - Can't get any better :-)
A great place to railfan
Any info on the train at 3:58? Looks like the lead unit (a former GCFX/CITX lease unit) is owned by Lake State Railway (LSRC). Not sure why one would be leading a CSX train.
LSRC acquired those locomotives from the leasing company, but before they were painted and delivered to LSRC in Michigan, CSX leased them because they were short on motive power. I believe the locomotives were on CSX for about a year.
Delay In Block Productions Ah, that makes sense.
Nice!
Interesting video. I live on the CSX Monon Subdivision around the same area where you were.
Come to the Purdue railroad club while you’re in town we have TRAINS
Anyone else going to point out the high-nose units at 24:09? I love those things.
Nice
Amazing Video. D.I.B. 🇮🇳
My 2 year old loves your videos and so do I. I wonder if CSX 1546 is still rolling. It is neat to see a GP-15 still operating on a class 1.
That CSX GP15 sounds interesting
The CSX SD's are as follows: ex Western Maryland, ex B&O, and ex Conrail
I assume the Cascades power was coming from Beech Grove? The Hoosier State's funding wasn't included in the 2019-2020 Indiana Budget, so its going to be discontinued in July. I thought most yard switchers were remote controlled?
I live in Logansport, Indiana and I would love to go up there and railfan
How many GP15s are left on the CSX?
Why do engines have the yellow strobe lights?
Wonder if those auto cars were full of Subaru’s. I think they make in Lafayette.
Why do you narrate some videos and not others?
I hate GP30 trains
