Why is it out of all the soundtracks this score is the one that seems to cut the deepest. Hans has a fantastic ability to transport you right to wherever your mind takes you when listening to his art/scores. I personally love this score as it is full of so much heart, feeling, loss and honour. I know this is loosely based on a French soldier Jules Brunet who was sent over to train Japanese soldier but this film was amazing. One of my favourites for sure. The end fight scene is brutal personally. A lot to be said for honour in this day and age. Another great film with a masterpiece soundtrack. Seeing it performed live in March was an experience I will never forget and neither will anyone else there.
This AMAZING fictional story did shed some good light on the Samurai's presence at the time as well as even the influence they have on many modern day traditions- Honor, duty, Courage. This is Top 3 movies for me, and this would have been Nowhere Near as good w/Out Hans' Incredible Academy award winning soundtrack. It does for this movie what the Gladiator soundtrack did for that movie- Help Immensely by bringing the viewers Emotions deeply into the Great stories they are.
Very appreciative that you put this together. We often forget the importance of taking the time to reflect and ground ourselves. Having this playing in the background helped me get to that place today.
Tom Cruises Opus Magnus in my opinion, the end of this movie brought such sadness and contempt, but also growth and redemption for Algrin and Katsumoto. In surviving Algrin could forgive himself his past demons, in his sacrifice Katsumoto delivered the strongest message he possibly could for the Emperor, though it took his life in the end he succeeded. beautiful, simple writing.
I listen to this music when in need of deep focus. Used to listen to this soundtrack endlessly when at the University. Now use it hunker down and engage in long bouts of intense focus toward some work pursuit. Nice to see that I’m not the only one out there using this soundtrack to good use.

The final charge toward The Gatlin guns got to me. They were the true victors and warriors to the end.
I actually downloaded and paid for this soundtrack to use for studying and writing and meditation! I am glad to see it on RUclips. I AM LISTENING IN 2024! With any luck, this music will help me complete my writing of my dissertation this summer.
Yes Hans Is The Best, Who’s Listening In April 2024
I miss 90's movies.
very emotional and inspiring
Last Samurai was released in 2003 though
This AMAZING fictional story did shed some good light on the Samurai's presence at the time as well as even the influence they have on many modern day traditions- Honor, duty, Courage. This is Top 3 movies for me, and this would have been Nowhere Near as good w/Out Hans' Incredible Academy award winning soundtrack. It does for this movie what the Gladiator soundtrack did for that movie- Help Immensely by bringing the viewers Emotions deeply into the Great stories they are.
Been years sense I listened and saw this movie, still in my top five for all time best. The samurai and japan look way more peaceful then today.
Amor pasión traición lealtad dignidad y sabiduría sin mencionar la tremenda orquesta y el Genio de H, Zimmer.Congratulaciones
This soundtrack moves me every time I hear it Fantastic
Who is listening this on New Year's 2023/24 🎊🎉🎆
Soul stirring music. Makes me want go change my destiny for the good.
Hans Zimmer, best composer of the world !

Personally I’d probably say Howard Shore
He's without any doubt the best and the many facettes which he's capable of composing like western, eastern style is mind-blowing...

I listen to this Beautiful music while I am studying. So motivating and inspiring ! Thank you !
I listen to this music when in need of deep focus. Used to listen to this soundtrack endlessly when at the University. Now use it hunker down and engage in long bouts of intense focus toward some work pursuit. Nice to see that I’m not the only one out there using this soundtrack to good use.
Calms the soul
20:57 I imagine like: wounded warrior laying down on earth, breathing last time, looking to the sky and seeing bright light which takes his soul to place, where is only peace. 🥲🥲🥲
Has become my favourite piece of music to play while running through forms and meditation

Watched the film for the first time today, and was already a fan of Hans Zimmer. Really enjoyed the film and this music is just way up there and as with most of Mr Zimmers music somehow it always wants to make me cry!! 🥰
Listening to this is of virtue induced by the sound itself
