    Totally concur with an “S” rating for 11/22/63. It’s one of my favorite SK books of all time. I love the in depth time travel theme and SK obviously did his research on this one. Also the book he mentioned at the end “Time and Again” is a great read. I’m really enjoying your channel a lot 👍

    I love the fact that Duma Key got an A. This story has something profoundly beautiful in it. Maybe it’s about the Florida setting?
    I also think that Cell deserves more attention. Sure it’s more of a light, one-day read, but I think the book is really well written. Glad you gave it an A

    Under the Dome has a great ending. I must be the only one who says it. but SPOILERS.... the notion of a capricious super powerful intelligent child playing with the town and its people the way a child plays with lego; is very interesting and frightening. Under the Dome is an A.

    Hello fellow Stephen King fans!
    In the last two months I finished my first two SK novels. First I read the expanded version of 'The Stand' and then one of his newer books 'The Institute'. I really enjoyed both and have quickly realized that I'm a big fan of his writing style.
    My question is naturally...... what should I read next? I'm leaning towards starting into the 'The Dark Tower' series but am also hearing good things about 'Dead Zone'.
    What's your can't miss, SK suggestion?
    Thanks!!!

I've been avoiding, because I always see book sequels this far out as fan service, but I loved the movie, and hated (like most people who read the Shining book first first the Kubrick film). Does it go more into the True Knot? I know there are talks about a prequel and one focusing on Dick, but I'll love to see a True Knot movie.

    • @patcoston
      @patcoston 4 года назад

      @@MilesWilliams88 I frequent the Stephen King subreddit and have yet to see anyone who liked The Colorado Kid. I found it very boring. It's literally two retired reporters talking to an intern about a case they couldn't solve. It kind of fits with Mr. Mercedes in that Bill Hodges couldn't solve the case of the Mercedes Killer. Like you said, it's short, so worth a try. As long your expectations are on target, you can enjoy it for what it is. The same problem happens with Roadwork. If you glance at a few covers, you get the wrong idea. I'm about to re-read Roadwork even though I found it very boring the first time. I realize it's because I thought it would be action-packed full of violence, but that's not what it's about. Now that my expectations are normalized, I think I can enjoy it. A lot of people hate Roadwork the first time, then love it the second time. It's all about having the right expectation. Sometimes its best to read a book without knowing anything about it , therefore near zero expectations. I did this with Duma Key, and now that's my 2nd favorite King novel after The Long Walk.
