I used a lot of gravel in my voice here. For me, you cannot sing the song with a smooth vocal, it needed something to replicate Kim's wonderful husky sound. This may not be to everyone's liking, it's a tough song, and completely iconic. I love to try though to sing songs people do not expect, and with that I hope some will enjoy or at least commend the bravery haha!
I used a RODE NT-USB Mic with some reverb live into Garageband. No autotune or any other equipement was used, to keep the vocal as natural as possible.
