These are really cool. I take it that you leave layers to dry first before putting another colour on? I make linocut prints, so this just looks like witchcraft to me!
Yes, let each layer dry, then the last layer is wet to pull up all the paint 👍🏼 cheers

Yes ordinary tissue, but wet strength tissue is the best, 😘 cheers

I go to the print shop for my laser copies 👍🏼 You could try running the print through twice on your home laser printer 😍 cheers

Wow can't believe how great these came out! Going to finally treat myself to a gel plate. Are you using coated laser paper? I think my local print store uses coated in their machine.

Yeah it’s easy once you learn how to operate the copy machines. I make laser prints at office stores. I bring my photos. It’s not even expensive. Employees will help you operate the copy machine if you need help.

These are Incredible!! Could gel prints on rice and/or tissue type paper be used to decoupage onto furniture etc or would it smear once you apply whichever product you use to adhere it? I guess it’s no different than using the papers in a journal? Hmmm 🤔 did I just answer my own question?!😂

I can't get my magazine pictures to stick. The paint just covers them up and I get a plain print
Magazine images are very hit & miss, it depends on so many factors. I use colour laser copy prints for a more reliable result 👍🏼 cheers! 😘

Is there a difference in transfers when you use color verses black & white prints?
I have personally found that colour laser prints have worked better than B/W, but it also depends on where you get them printed. That also can differ the results, cheers Froyle

The first print I let the transfer dry then pulled the print 👍🏼 the second transfer I printed straight away while it was still wet onto black tissue 😘 cheers

I use colour laser copy prints only! Because that is what I have found to work best! 👍🏼

Could you please tell me what you use to protect your table top ? Is that a “Teflon sheet”? The GELLI company mentions Teflon sheets, baking sheets or glass to place the GELLI plate on when working with it -
I’m considering a metal baking sheet because of some bad reviews about Teflon sheets. I don’t want to use a sheet of glass so it’s either Teflon sheets or a metal baking sheet. Thank you very much.
I just use a cheap plastic white table cloth from the dollar store, happy creating! Cheers!

I have a problem with my geli print plate, i put the paint and it turns in holes over the plate...I've tried different kind of acrylic paint, i washed the plate with soap, nothing works...it really frustrating...could you help me please?
How old is the plate? New or old? Sometimes new plates take a bit of time to print right 👍🏼

It's definitely the magazine! They can be very tricky & unreliable! That's why I use colour laser prints!! More reliable, cheers!

I bought a plate for my daughter - she’s 10. I haven’t stopped using it ha ha ha - she’s angry because I won’t stop making prints on her geli plate ha ha ha - miharo mahi toi
