I think what he's "trying" to say is reduce the width and hight of your screen setting and when your in a gunfight the enemy will look more closer to you therfore more easy to lock on to and shoot ... I THINK 🤔

If there was a way to enable the FoV slider I would be all over it but I’ve known this safe area “tip” for a long time now.
Update: I’ve stopped playing Call of Duty entirely, I actually stopped a few years back and the only reason I have MW at all is because a friend had an extra copy and they wanted me to try the game. I got burnt out on the franchise, nothing against those who still play and enjoy the games.

This is field of view so that’s good cause it makes eveything look closer but also not to make it too wider so is good to decrease but not to much because enemies sometimes come from the side you want to be able to see them so probably finding a sweet spot don’t decrease to much
This doesnt compltely change fov, its more so the hud. Helps keep the important details like the map closer to the center so it is easier to see

And activision or whoever controls this should know it strains the eyes

Safe Area has nothing to do with FOV, but it's does shorten your cross hair. For better accuracy.
