good defense but trying to make all these adjustments before the snap head to head is a challenge
I practiced for about 20 minutes and it helped a lot
You don't have to select each outside linebacker to set those curl flats. Stay on your user. Double tap the right direction button and set them that way by choosing the corresponding button. (Double tap left direction button for your d linemen)

COACHING ADJUSTMENTS
play ball in air defense
zone drops flats 25
zone drops curl flats 0
zone drops hooks 10
(everything else default)
NICKEL 3-3-5 WIDE
shade down(click triangle/y then right stick down)
shade up(click triangle/y then right stick up)
put outside lineman on curl flats(triangle/y then right stick right)
blitz mlb(thats who you user, cover the middle)
(make any extra adjustments if needed)

Double tap right on left stick for LBs and Double tap left on the left stick for DLs. This makes adjustments wayyyyyy faster

this is super easy to set up dude if you're experienced at madden.
Well obviously I'm not.. I got a job throughout the day. Don't have time to study madden. But it's cool to get a few tips now and then..

I'd rather be physically exhausted at the end of the day that my mentality and emotions being out of wack, because I'm the ultimate determination of one's well being.. Yeah, the medical field isn't for me, but to each their own..
But what is your biggest tip for me as far as pass coverage and the trajectory of picking them off.. where should my eyes be at the start of the snap? I know the obvious answer. I need specifics

Another play ive discovered thats lockdown is mike blitz 3 in the 3-3-5 wide, the d tackle drops into coverage by default..put the two blitzing lbs/ends into vert hooks, make sure u do the underneath and overtop thing like he did too, then u just cover that middle part, its a lil easier that erics version

The only problem with putting the edge rushers into zone coverage is that the opponent can just roll out and a receiver is gonna break wide open

When your playing anything but practice mode it's hard to make the adjustments you need before getting burned

hey eric not sure if you knew or not but if you double click the D pad left or right buttons you can adjust your linebackers & Dline men faster

Gotta go play the cpu until you memorize the buttons and can make quick adjustments. You don't have to scroll over to the player to adjust them, you can double tap specific buttons

What about out routes. They’re always open on those plays. Will these counter that? Any suggestions?
Doesn't look like it. Also seems like if your opponent knows how to work the concepts and isn't greedy, the Spot, Stick, and Spacing plays will always have a man wide open against this I think.
All of my games are shoot outs and my offense is insane but my defense is equally as bad. I want to fix that.

If you’re trying to stop corner routes, yes it’s good. Any smart player would set up a post right over the middle. DT dropping back is trash.

Ran this the last three days before seeing this and it never works like that with the pass rush or zones not going where they're supposed to go. Either that or my opponent runs the ball for 6-8 yards a pop on an inside zone. However, when I'm on offense I get locked down by my opponent running the same exact defense.

Dollar look is normally a go to since they have a 4-5 CB lineup, and do either press or Base Align

The 3 Sam will blitz is good but I be messing up with the settings in game moving to slow or sometimes I’m moving to fast applying the settings. Now the mike blitz 0 is way more easy and more effective to me, I’m not stop practicing Sam will blitz til I get it though. Great content.

Did you miss all the clips where the sheds split the double team? Double team blocking is worse than 1 on 1 in this game, the rushers split them quick everytime.
