Everyone one has something to say about Chad and Doug. More friends have been lost by going into business with friends or working for friends. Ylu have a boss and employees. It doesn't always work out. Love watching them both. What ever happened is between them, ot the rest of us. Have a great day and enjoy your road trip. 👍👍💕🇺🇸
Chad, If you are going to continue with this vocation take it from me, WEAR A MASK! 40 years in the biz, I didn't and now I am regretting it every day.
I think the Volvo is going to look cool when finished it’s way stronger than it’s ever been and it’s got a good look going on it’s great what a bit of hard work can achieve. Keep up the great work the both of you
Just want to say hi and hope everyone can make up for you all are a good team for and on the roof Chad you are going to get all kinds of comments how . would do it and I say do it the way you like it cause you are the one who has to be satisfied with it. God bless and have a blessed evening
shows how much hard work Doug did do get the body's back to bare metal and all the other work he did around place for Chad. he was a hard worker doing the crappy jobs this is not in bad way like everyone looking at it I'm just saying he did alot for the show shame won't see him working hard anymore was good seeing him on the show they both good people and work well just shame not to have Doug on show now.
I'm just saying Doug did do alot of hard work some say he didn't but really he did do alot for chad it's a shame he not on it anymore is all I'm saying,Chad has had plenty different people helping over the years but enjoyed Doug being on the team he did alot both doug and nath been good to the team moving forward
And Doug got paid and I didn't hear him complain one bit about it. Plus got his car painted. But Chad treated him like shit? Yeah ok. Enough of this nonsense. If Doug wanted to do other parts of the job maybe he should have spoken up. Plus this channel is Called BAD CHAD not DIRTY DOUG. And now all of a sudden he's complaining that he did all the dirty work? Plus I think Nate has more knowledge and way better skills than Doug and is a mechanic thats why Nate was able to do some fab work.
I'm so glad you are taking Fina on this road trip she's a sweetie. I'm wondering if you need a back window on the Volvo. The trunk at that height blocks any view. I really like the slope top but your right Chad the transition should be a little softer and more rounded. I'm liking this Volvo more and more.
As a retired Welder, the weld on the running board the heat was too cold, that's why it's not a clean flat smooth seem. But not many professional welds on the car anyway, so it's fine for old car sheet metal.
Never knew a stranger in the car world could be one or ten thousands and thats why the car worlds so respected and really cars didn,t have a lot to do with it cars just brought people together and people made the cars and their love for the cars
Great job guys, the roof looks perfect 😎👍 You could make a dozen horizontal slatted slots (louvers) in place of the rear window, without the glass the air coming in laterally would probably come out better..
Jolene + Chad, both of you need to be wearing masks to avoid that paint dust! You two also need ear protection for most operations in a closed garage! Ask me how I know as I adjust my hearing aids!
It's Gunnar be a neat trick to pull off the back of the roof guess that's why I keep watching ...I still think it needs a 2 to 3 inch triangel piece with the window contour to match might be the way to go ...just my thoughts. ...😊
Like that your always looking to improve on your designs. Shows us all that we're not locked into any design and that there's always a nicer look if you step back and think. Like the running boards. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 great job.
I didn’t think I’d like that roof but i do, and i try and imagine the car painted one colour , say black, and i think it will be amazing. Specially reeeeeeeally lowered , maybe smaller wheels even
Chad body shops in general almost never do all over paint jobs its all insurance job . Mostly fender / door work and blend the quarters. Front facia, hood jobs. They pay nice money and are quickly done.
@@bradleymckay365 all I know is Doug did most of the dirty work while he was there and most time not on screen That Volvo would be red if Doug didn't do all that work on it You boys are so loyal to Chad how about giving other people some credit
Chad, where do you stand with using walnut husk for striping paint or using baking soda to strip paint? I know that both items are expensive but when I use either medium, the paint comes off but the metal doesn't distort like the metal does when I use sand.
That was a cool visual towards the end. The roof looks pretty cool. Although i would raise the back of it up a little bit. But i still like it without the roof better. Good job Jolene on welding the running boards. They ad dimension to the car.
Well , like Doug said you should really put gloves on when you're stripping the paint.. And I would have to agree with him... Just saying safety first..
Don't start off in low gear in the old Ford. Start off in second, you only use bull low when you are going through a ditch with a load of grain. Trust me I know !!! Keep up the good work.
I think it looks pretty good, but I would’ve raised it about 6 inches by the back window and rounded it off inside where the door window in the back windows gonna go
To be honest I would have taken the roof back on both sides only to make the slope look more natural with a narrow window in between the slopes. Then the roof would gel with the design of the boot and be far more impressive
Maybe Doug just simply wanted to get out from under Chad's "wing" and branch out on his own. Perhaps working for Chad was merely a stepping stone in that direction and it's nothing personal between them. It happens.

Your right my buddy has Lung Fibrosis, from no mask and inhaling dirt, grit, dust over the years.
And wear hearing protection I'm almost dead from an angle grinder
Ian Russo uses a nice pair eye and ear muffs
i was surprised he didn't wear one.
I think it would look better if the roof was lifted up at the back about 3 to 4 inches, 🤔.... thats just my opinion 😉👍
Totally agree with each side having a sloping wing so that it would gel with the boot instead of looking like a stuck on after thought
Gonna be a tiny back glass
When it had the original sail panels to set on, it looked WAY better, and made sense for anyone in the back seat.
Chad, you and Jolene have worked wonders in bringing this machine to fruiton. You can be justifiably proud of your accomplishments
You sure are creating lots for people to comment about, haha, good for business. Love your positivity. The car is looking great!

50 push ups a day isn't gonna help much if you don't wear a mask breathing all that shit in.
Best part about the roof? It's removable!
Looks better without the roof. But it's your car
I agree with you
It’s going to be removable.
@charlesdunn7543 I would leave it off myself.
Thank you for telling us you like mustard. But not mayonnaise…
Yes mate to the dump
Keep cutting the roof down eventually you can hide it in the trunk

Wild that this little Volvo could turn out to be a pretty rad custom. I like the roof back on it. She’s a baby led sled
Looks good with and without the top. Nice job
I love the look this gives i feel that this one of a kind styling is fantastic can't wait to see some colour or flames or 2 tone ?????
Chad, I always used heavy globs of gel type paint stripper and heavy steel wool, letting the stripper work in for about 20-30 minutes
Less talking, more working...I like how he talks to people like they're 4 years old, even to Jolene.
Paint it white and call it greese lightning. That's the car it reminds me of with the shape

I liked it before the roof and sort of like it with the roof but the way the roof is now looks to small for the size of the car
Chad, Jolene, & Fina, it is Sunday Funday!
I think it would look much better without the finder skirts!
love this build had a 58 volvo dreamed of it bein a willys coupe , don't care for fender skirts , to big.
