    Thank you for positioning the camera from the point of view of the person changing the strings. Much easier to follow.

    Hi Cynthia. I enjoyed the video and found it very helpful. However I would suggest the operation be carried out on a softer surface. That would prevent any damage to the instrument

    Thank you for this great tutorial! Very clear instructions and I learned two more things: 1. replacing my fluorocarbon low G with a wound low G and 2. using a tenor low G string for my concert ukulele. I never liked the way my fluorocarbon string sounded on my concert, but now I love the sound!!🎶🎶😀.

    Nice job. Brown Worth for me too, as they are very kind towards my fingers. I don`t seem to develop calluses even if I play every day, but the Worth do not hurt, and they look great 😄🇩🇰

    Thanks for the string winder recommendation ... when I restrung my uke this past week and watched this video, I thought it seemed silly to need a tool for it. However, now my painful thumb is arguing otherwise 😆

    Hello there Cynthia 🤗 Thanks so much for this video on changing strings! Changed mine last night n' this helped so much! You mentioned that u put tenor strings on ur concert uke..."preference" was all...but just wondering-does it sound different than concert strings? Or just longer? Just curious why u put those on. Thanks again!!!👍🤗👍🤗👍

    First question: when should you change the strings? I have been using my only ukulele for 4 or so years now. How can I tell I should change? Thanks.

    I still love that signature model, but can't get my hands on one. Was looking for a starter for my 4 year old and was looking into strings. Thought there were colored strings to simplify learning or maybe I am imagining this. Did you ever come across colored strings?

  • @koenighaunstetten
    @koenighaunstetten Год назад +1

    One question. Got a new tenor ukulele delivered yesterday. Strings were mounted, but not under tension, so I had to wind and tune a lot. During trying it out I noticed that it lost tune, probably the strings need to get used to the tension. Do you have same issues after changing strings? How long will it take until the tuning is stable?

    • @hobbycow5346
      @hobbycow5346 Год назад

      Nylon strings will stretch a LOT when you first tune them. Tune it, pull up on the strings a bit to help stretch them, retune, retune, retune…lol. After a few days the strings will hold the tune. This has nothing to do with the tuner quality, it’s just the nature of nylon strings. Even after weeks, you’ll notice them going a bit flat if you haven’t tuned them in a while, but not nearly as bad as when you first get them.
