Wooow sir I did not know that geography is so easy sir .... today I have come to know that geography is very conceptual and interconnected ..... and no need for ratta ...i am very hppy to attend this session 🙏☺️🥰
The way everything was explained and the connections with easy-to-understand examples are amazing. I earlier felt geography is difficult and boring, but now I feel motivated to study.
1. My biggest mistake was just sticking to reading notes and not actually trying to learn the basic concepts behind it. 2. I thoroughly enjoyed all the concepts explained by sir. I found topics like oceanography and human geography really interesting. 3. • Importance of understanding concept • MAP based study • Framework for approaching different parts of geography • Application of concepts • Imbibed sense of curiosity 4. Make effective notes, revise them regularly, use youtube/books to clear concepts, application of concepts, solve PYQs.
I really experienced the same ... Concept.. it is all about your logical thinking and how to approach ur basic concepts in understanding the Geo phenomenon 🌍
1. I was trying to learn the direction of movement of ocean currents, el nino effect etc in order to remember them and after watching the video i realized that it was not an efficient way of learning something. 2. Learning about the atmospheric pressure and it's effects and reason behind the black soil in plateaus all the topics were very interesting to learn. 3. After watching the session i came to know that: (a) there is no need to learn the facts and instead should try to connect it with the reasons behind it. (b) the reason behind everything is interconnected in some or the other way like the atmospheric pressure and the wind movement which further affects leads to movement of currents (c) geography is not limited to the land water and air it also involves humans (d) geography is also conceptual just like maths, the same formula can be used to solve many questions. (e) there are many ways in which the human are affecting the environment. 4. Now i will try to lean from the basics and then will try to connect everything with each other conceptually and will try to look for all the possible reason behind it. It would help me to learn it better and would help me to answer the question better with all the explanation.

Well! The whole session boosted the interest in geography. I found it much informative from core level. Diving into the subject from beginner and the fear of geography, I think it's gone . Thank you sir for such an engaging session.
Being a student of geography today some of my basic doubts were cleared I realised I was getting into depth very much to understand the basics which weren't required. I find physical geography as the most interesting part and how it's connected, also how geography influences the polity, economy, society. The MAP system to study geography was just wonderful way to approach geography
Thank u for this session sir ...this session removed fear of geography and made this subject easier .....we learnt art of interlinking and making concepts simple
I'm Hindi medium student but I listening to you respected sir carefully bcoz i want know more knowledge concepts in english ,bcoz UPSC demanding of both language ,thanku sir 🙏
1) lack of revision and sometimes understanding 2) physical geography 3) a) concentrate on maps b) interlink concepts c) revision 4) studying by understanding syllabus and how it is relevant with the help of previous year questions.

First of all i want to thank ravi sir & kapil sir for this wonderful session 1. Earlier i used to read geography by remembering some facts, coming to applied part i just tried to apply but i couldn't. thanks for helping us in this way 2. All areas are intresting if we are taught like this. 3. 1) there is a particular reason behind everything in geography 2) difference between geography & economics/ environment etc 3)From this session i came to know how to approach geography easily 4) i just wondered that when sir told the answer for the question about existence of ocen plates & continental plates. Thank you for this incredibly enlightening session. 1) Simply reading books without applying the readily available, straightforward concepts in real life is a missed opportunity to easily connect and understand things better. 2) The physical aspects and our collective responsibility as humans in contributing to global warming are interconnected. 3) 1. The categorization of subjects within the field of geography. 2. Simplify complex ideas to make them easier to understand. 3. Establishing connections between various concepts in geography. 4. Applying the learned concepts to effectively address exam-related questions. 5. Explanation of basic concepts, such as the Earth's crust and minerals, as well as the phenomenon of bird migration. 4) My approach from now on is utilizing maps to gain a deeper understanding of the physical aspects. By relating these insights with the geographical maps, I aim to understand each concept in connection with others, creating a wider understanding that results in better retention of information including making notes.
it was really really mind blowing .never ever accept geography could become such an easy with marvellous concept.Really thankful of Kapil sir but 1st big thanks to Ravi sir for bringing such a fantastic mentor before us.❤
1. Thinking that physical and human geography are different concept. 2 . The way we can interconnected various aspects of geography. 3. Interconnection Conceptual clarity Simple example to understand better Breaking complexity of topic 4 . This particular session gave me the clarity of how geography can be interlinked with different subject forming a network
This session gave me conceptual clarity regarding certain topics and also change my mindset towards geography. It’s clear all my myths regarding geography

As someone coming from having Hindi as a third language,i understood 60% of this lecture..overall,it boosts my concepts a bit higher..however,i wish it was in full english so that i could understand it even better than i did now
Session gave me a broader perspective to study geography 1. Biggest mistake in my approach -: compartmentalisation of geography and other subjects 2. Interesting areas-: human geography and it's interlinkages 3. Important takeaway 3.1 MAP framework 3.2 Way of reducing bigger parts of a subject into few very important concepts Eg : relationship between pressure, temperature etc 3.3 Various interlinkages between geography with economy, society, environment , desaster management 3.4 Map protocol for easy understanding 3.5 interlinkage between oceanography and climatology 4. I will incorporate all these takeaways in my preparation to make more exam oriented with holistic approach
This session gave me a very good understanding about what the subject is and how should I approach it. We all r lucky to have a mentor like you... Thankyou so much sir .
I am pro in geography but this teacher is really making all the stufff so simple,.... Literally great teacher... A bliss for non science and average students..... He is explaining most scientific topics in generalised language 🙏🙏🙏 great teacher
1. Studied the subject by breaking it down into different aspects. 2. Physical Geography 3. a) MAP framework b) Daily Mapping practice c) Applied Knowledge d) Interconnectivity of sub-topics e) Role of Humans in Geography 4. I will gradually implement the insights from the lesson, applying them whenever and wherever I deem them most suitable.
Irregular revision is my biggest mistake. Oceanography is my favourite part. 5 Insights- . Warm currents move from equator to poles and cold currents move from poles to equator. . There are three kinds of plate tectonic boundaries: divergent, convergent, and transform plate boundaries. . Collision between Arabian plate and Anatolian plate led to Turkey earthquake. . The oceanic plate is denser than the continental plate and sinks due to its lower buoyancy and the continental plate floats due to high buoyancy. . Gravity seems to increase but will decrease when we move towards Himalayas.
the entire session was good to get better guidance most interesting when we study about geography is very good to know about our surrounding From this session about Geography, five key insights can be summarized: 1) Geography is a diverse and multidisciplinary field; 2) It plays a crucial role in understanding the interactions between humans and the environment; 3) Maps and spatial analysis are essential tools in Geography; 4) Climate change and its impacts are significant concerns in the discipline; 5) Exploring different regions and cultures broadens one's knowledge and perspective. To implement these insights, one can focus on interdisciplinary approaches, emphasize map interpretation and spatial analysis, stay updated on climate change research, and engage in cultural and regional studies to gain a comprehensive understanding of Geography.
Very Very Informative session. I have never learned geography in simpler language than this. A lot of information was gained in a short time. 1. We never understood the concept of geography paper when we were in school And studied by mugging. No one told such information then. 2. I am curious to know everything especially Human Geography & oceanography I found it interesting. 3. I had no idea that there are so many branches of geography. This is new to me. No one ever told me this when I was in school. the way kapil sir explained, the fear of geography got a little less. 4. when studying geography, it will be easy to understand the concept. It will be easy to understand if you study it with understanding all. And it will be easy to remember while writing the answer. Thanking You Sir
Greetings sir, thank you for the wonderful session! 1. One of the mistakes I made was just reading Geography as a pure facts-based subject instead of understanding and loving how it impacts us Humans. 2. The most interesting part about geography is its maps and other geological facts that happens due to different phenomenon. 3. My 5 key insights from this session about Geography were -- Be curious about geography as it is an important part of our human existence, Dont be afraid of the scientific basis in geography, understand the concepts, Use the MAPS approach, Make logical notes, Maps is the most imp. 4. I will implement the above and change my approach toward Geography by starting the MAPS approach and focusing on concepts rather than the big picture.
I always find geography as one of the boring and tough subject but the way sir has explained the theories and concepts like formation of cyclones was mind blowing. Thanks for this session.
First of all ,I would like to thank Ravi Kapoor sir and Kapil Bhardwaj sir for this wonderful session 1) My biggest mistake was thinking that Geography is all about memorizing the information 2) I found Climatology to be most interesting 3)key insights from the session: a) MAP Framework b)Understood Geomorphology core concept: Plate tectonics theory c)Understood the role of Temperature and pressure in Climatology d)Ocean currents : cold currents and warm current e)everything in the world has a concept of geography behind it. 4)I will change my approach towards Geography by viewing it as a conceptual subject and learning from real life examples rather than memorizing it blindly.
1. The biggest mistake that I made in my Geography preparation was, not opting for audio-visual learning. Pictures are highly essential in the case of geography and even though I come from Humanities background, I had forgotten that rule (to refer to pictures while studying). 2. Geography revolves around our planet, and I love the subject as a whole. However, learning about the layers of the Earth, tectonic plates, volcanoes, and earthquakes appears to be more interesting to me. 3. ‘Importance of prioritizing curiosity’ and ‘application of concepts’ were the insights that I derived from this session. It is important to dive deep and know about the soil that I am standing on and apply my knowledge in the practical world, not just for UPSC but it makes living life amazing. 4. I have opted for video lectures that are available for free online and it is indeed helping me to retain much more information.
Sir Its so hard to understand in Hindi as many of us aspirants are from other language. Kindy make videos in english so it would we helpful for us students
I'm Hindi medium student but I listening to you respected sir carefully Bahut accha lga sir thankyou thankyou very much sir.. Thoda hindi medium me hota too aur jyada acche se samj me aata sir aur aur aacha lgta..
1. I'm Hindi medium students but i listening to you then realised My biggest mistake was just sticking to reading nots and not actually trying to learn the basic concepts behind it. 2. Interesting areas-: human geography and it's interlinkages 3. Conncept clarity, simple example to understand batter, 4. I will gradually implement the insights from the lesson, applying them whenever and wherever I deem them most sitable.
A perfect session , I learned a lot of things today. Thanks a lot to Ravi sir as well as Kapil sir for making things this easy for us to learn. My answers to the questions asked are as follows : 1.The mistake I was making in preparation for geography was that I was not correlating the topics together which was making it a bit difficult for me to understand things in detail. 2. The session made the whole geography very interesting for me. Still if I have to choose a particular area it would be the physical geography. 3. My top five insights from this session are ; A. Map strategy B. The thing that one should Correlate the things together for better understanding. C. The concept of gradient, la Nina and el nino were explained in an excellent way. D. Revision should be done consistently E. Note down everything. 4. I will approach every concept with a positive mindset correlating the concepts together to get a better understanding, I will make proper short notes and revise them from time to time. Once again thank you to both the teachers for bringing this amazing session.
Geography was my honours subject and I always used to think people don't give enough credit to such a dynamic subject. This really is an enlightening course. It can really help people if followed properly.
I was blown away Kapil sir apne mjhe itne km time me itna kch xplain kr dia. Now I no longer feel like ki geo. Tough h ya hmko ratna pdega. I enjoyed and learnt a lot of concepts. Thank you 🙏so mch.

Thank you for a very interesting and informative session. It was an eye opener of how geography can be interesting and not a stressful subject. 1. While preparing for geography, I was more focused on notes and definitions instead of understanding the base concept and connecting it with other topics. 2. Oceanography is an interesting topic. 3. -understand core concept and relate it to other topics -learn to relate to geography with basic examples. -Don’t over complicate things -Make concise notes -Maps are important and should be used simultaneously with theory 4. use maps while studying theory and revise multiple times, stick to basic examples and connect concepts to it for better understanding , using the MAP approach, use diagrams to solidify understanding of the concepts.
It's genuinely fantastic 👍 I can't explain in words it's just mind blowing.. Now I will study geography as a conceptual subject not as a learning subject 🙏. Thanks a lot
The session was extremely helpful as it gave a brief synopsis of the subject. My biggest mistake was not emphasizing enough on understanding the concepts. 5 key insights from this session- 👉 Developing curiosity for the subject will help in understanding concepts. 👉 Visualize concepts for better understanding. 👉 MAP technique ( pratice map along with studying) 👉To see how concepts relate to our present surroundings. 👉 Revision. Changing the approach which is conceptual based study.
The way sir connected the terms via logical explanation is great,if geography I was taught to me in this way then no need to memorise the whole subject.
Very clear explanation now I'm very much interested to learn geography, but I understood 70% because sir explained in Hindi. If it is in english it will be good for students like me who don't know Hindi much.. Any how I'm very glad to see this video and lot of thanks to Ravi Kapoor sir.
section was too good sir, got connected to every topics in one sphere...thank you for your efforts sir..even iam from andhra pradhesh, i even can understand this section from starting to ending...thank you ravi sir and kapil sir
1)lack of spatial sense costs extra afforts ,it becomes easy with maps 2) tectonic plates and continental drift theory is intresting for me 4) understand more by interlinking rather studying for hours
Under the guidance of Ravi Kapoor Sir's mentorship program, I would like to comment that this session is most required to understand the way of learning geography according to the demand of UPSC. Kapil Sir gave a clear understanding about the approach to the subject. 1) Biggest mistake: In my reading of geography ncerts, I did not use map very efficiently. Another one is that I didn't had in depth concept clarity. 2) During my preparation I found out Climatology and human geography interesting. 3) 5 insights: a: Conceptual clarity and the connecting approach b: Categorization from syllabus and their frameworks c: Map usage is always necessary d: Mains centric way of preparation with facts and required data as this subject is highly presentable. e: Note making using connecting dots with clarity 4) Implementing according to the categorization of syllabus, the layer by layer approach along with map and connecting the concepts.
Thank you sir for a wonderful session! Before I started my preparation I used to think geography is not more than just remembering locations, pointing the map but my perspective changed completely after getting into preparation. This session has given me the strength that I am going in the right direction in my preparation. How geographical factors affects other core pillars- history, polity and economy developed more interest in me towards the subject. 1. Conceptual Understanding and having the base command on subject stronger >>> Rote learning of facts. 2. Usage of CSAT(which we just think as a afternoon qualifying paper, not more importance than that) skills in Geography -Common Sense. 3. Importance of Interlinking the concepts. 4. Categorization- for a better understanding. 5. Imporatance of Visualization. I will emphasize these points and develop these skills much more stronger in me.
Wooow sir I did not know that geography is so easy sir .... today I have come to know that geography is very conceptual and interconnected ..... and no need for ratta ...i am very hppy to attend this session 🙏☺️🥰

Thank you so much both of uhh for the wonderful session on the concepts of geography.... It was like a eye-opening moment for me.... ❤🙏
The way Kapil Sir linked the core topics of geography with day to day examples, it helped to get a clear framework of all those terminologies.
So humble of Ravi sir, to stoop down to our level to ask such questions and doubts. Thank you sir.
This is what we call UPSC level understanding...never studied in such a way...perfectly explained by connecting everything..Thank you sir

Fantastic! one hours video give the understanding of whole geography.
Session gave me a broader perspective to study geography
1. Biggest mistake in my approach -: compartmentalisation of geography and other subjects
2. Interesting areas-: human geography and it's interlinkages
3. Important takeaway
3.1 MAP framework
3.2 Way of reducing bigger parts of a subject into few very important concepts
Eg : relationship between pressure, temperature etc
3.3 Various interlinkages between geography with economy, society, environment , desaster management
3.4 Map protocol for easy understanding
3.5 interlinkage between oceanography and climatology
4. I will incorporate all these takeaways in my preparation to make more exam oriented with holistic approach
Thank you sir, for simplifying and giving conceptual claritiy about geography. Will really look forward to implement it in preperation.
I love to learn like as fantastic awesome after I feel like I know every thing in geography 🙏 thankyou sir without fee it's incredible knowledge 🎉

GEOGRAPHY SUTRA
Day 1 complete 2024
Geography all doubtunt complete
Thank you sir
1. Studied the subject by breaking it down into different aspects.
2. Physical Geography
3. a) MAP framework b) Daily Mapping practice c) Applied Knowledge d) Interconnectivity of sub-topics e) Role of Humans in Geography
4. I will gradually implement the insights from the lesson, applying them whenever and wherever I deem them most suitable.
Irregular revision is my biggest mistake.
Oceanography is my favourite part.
5 Insights-
My Interest for geography and Respect for this teacher also increased. You are making feel geography to me.
Sir please upload in English .
On the subtitles button in settings😊
the entire session was good
to get better guidance
most interesting when we study about geography is very good to know about our surrounding
From this session about Geography, five key insights can be summarized: 1) Geography is a diverse and multidisciplinary field; 2) It plays a crucial role in understanding the interactions between humans and the environment; 3) Maps and spatial analysis are essential tools in Geography; 4) Climate change and its impacts are significant concerns in the discipline; 5) Exploring different regions and cultures broadens one's knowledge and perspective.
First of all ,I would like to thank Ravi Kapoor sir and Kapil Bhardwaj sir for this wonderful session
1) My biggest mistake was thinking that Geography is all about memorizing the information
2) I found Climatology to be most interesting
3)key insights from the session:
a) MAP Framework
b)Understood Geomorphology core concept: Plate tectonics theory
c)Understood the role of Temperature and pressure in Climatology
d)Ocean currents : cold currents and warm current
e)everything in the world has a concept of geography behind it.
4)I will change my approach towards Geography by viewing it as a conceptual subject and learning from real life examples rather than memorizing it blindly.
I needed, Hindi notes
Hello
Contact me
Need English notes.... Contact plz
Hi di kya aapko notes mil gya geography ka plz mujhe bhi send kijiye ga
@@suryapratapsingh3938 sir agar apke pas Hindi notes hai to pls send me..

Thank you for a very interesting and informative session. It was an eye opener of how geography can be interesting and not a stressful subject.
1. While preparing for geography, I was more focused on notes and definitions instead of understanding the base concept and connecting it with other topics.
2. Oceanography is an interesting topic.
3. -understand core concept and relate it to other topics
-learn to relate to geography with basic examples.
-Don’t over complicate things
-Make concise notes
-Maps are important and should be used simultaneously with theory
4. use maps while studying theory and revise multiple times, stick to basic examples and connect concepts to it for better understanding , using the MAP approach, use diagrams to solidify understanding of the concepts.
Copy nhi hota h kya kisi ka comment
It's genuinely fantastic 👍 I can't explain in words it's just mind blowing.. Now I will study geography as a conceptual subject not as a learning subject 🙏. Thanks a lot
The session was extremely helpful as it gave a brief synopsis of the subject.
My biggest mistake was not emphasizing enough on understanding the concepts.
5 key insights from this session-
👉 Developing curiosity for the subject will help in understanding concepts.
👉 Visualize concepts for better understanding.
👉 MAP technique ( pratice map along with studying)
👉To see how concepts relate to our present surroundings.
👉 Revision.
Changing the approach which is conceptual based study.
Great Session Sir, Thankyou!
Best language used...easy to understand
The way sir connected the terms via logical explanation is great,if geography I was taught to me in this way then no need to memorise the whole subject.
Very clear explanation now I'm very much interested to learn geography, but I understood 70% because sir explained in Hindi. If it is in english it will be good for students like me who don't know Hindi much.. Any how I'm very glad to see this video and lot of thanks to Ravi Kapoor sir.
Sir thankyou so much for hindi lecture mughe Bahut achche se samjh aya . thankyou sir 🙏🏻🙏🏻
section was too good sir, got connected to every topics in one sphere...thank you for your efforts sir..even iam from andhra pradhesh, i even can understand this section from starting to ending...thank you ravi sir and kapil sir
1)lack of spatial sense costs extra afforts ,it becomes easy with maps
2) tectonic plates and continental drift theory is intresting for me
4) understand more by interlinking rather studying for hours
This was fantastic explanation 👏 👌
Under the guidance of Ravi Kapoor Sir's mentorship program, I would like to comment that this session is most required to understand the way of learning geography according to the demand of UPSC. Kapil Sir gave a clear understanding about the approach to the subject.
1) Biggest mistake: In my reading of geography ncerts, I did not use map very efficiently. Another one is that I didn't had in depth concept clarity.
2) During my preparation I found out Climatology and human geography interesting.
3) 5 insights:
a: Conceptual clarity and the connecting approach
b: Categorization from syllabus and their frameworks
c: Map usage is always necessary
d: Mains centric way of preparation with facts and required data as this subject is highly presentable.
e: Note making using connecting dots with clarity
4) Implementing according to the categorization of syllabus, the layer by layer approach along with map and connecting the concepts.
Thank you sir giving a conceptual clarity of geography
