This is a great video about the Atoms range capabilities. I have a a bunch of Drones, 6 DJI drones, a Autel Evo Lite Plus, a fewFPV Drones. I to my AIR 3 out almost 6 miles the other day, & still had all but one bar of signal strength. I returned with 22% battery life. I just ordered a Potensic Atom Fly More Combo today. Seems like a great little non Geofenced drone.
@@CirclingtheDroneMan I tested my Atom yesterday, & I wish mine had even half the range as yours. I can only make it 1800-2000 feet & im getting warnings that I'm loosing video. I'm at only two bars of signa,l by the time im 700- 800 feet. I tested it in the same place, that I took my DJI AIR 3, out to 6 miles & only lost 1 bar of signal strength. Im loosing a bar of signal strength at 300 feet. I really wanted to like the Atom. I'm going to give mine to my youngest son, so he can practice. I think im going to try the new Fimi Mini 3.. I need a couple decent non Geofenced drones, to complement all my DJI drones. I have the Autel Evo Lite +, & I want one other quality non Geofenced drone.

I just bought this as my first drone and I"m still nervous about flying it. I did some tests and it works awesome, does everything that I want out of a drone at the moment. Nice video.
my older atom se I still fly personal best across our lake only no trees , was 2.8 miles and beer and rum was involved to take a pick of an island . also no return home issue I chickened out , Im thinking straight across aprox 4 miles est. may try soon . love the auto return ! GReat work .
If I am correct it initiated RTH so early as the default low battery warning is 30% and it got back to you at 38%. If you lower that value in the settings it may go longer before initiating RTH. Great video!
Great video. Appreciate the range test. RU using an Android or Iphone? Have you done a range test in a more urban environment? With more white noise and electronic interference. If yu can get at least 2 miles out of the drone, that's a win win in my book.
Great video! I just ordered one of these drones because I lost one some time back. I was thinking about a Mini 2 se until I found these. The only thing I was kinda wavering on was Distance. This drone has so many more features throw. Then I thought why would anyone Want to fly any farther? When your drone goes out of eye sight it can get carry. Birds attack Happen from time to time. Nope I have watched many videos & hardly any bad things about this drone. That’s for your report.
Hey, grest video. Showcases the range well. Incredible for a lower budget drone. I wonder if the 70% battery return was started early as it knew how far away it was. I expect if flying closer it'll probably wait until at its lowest point leaving return battery allowance and probably a 10% overhead....tbh I'd rather that than a dip in the drink! 😂😂
Even if your line of sight going higher in altitude will still help a lot. A lot less RF interference and RF bouncing off the ground surface. And by going higher you need to move more than 20ft at a time. Thanks for the test though. I’m sure if you went to 500-700 ft she could go further. Most my dji stuff went 4-5 miles around 700.
My atom se fell into the ocean😂😂 i disassembled it, modified the motherboard (not easy), and took it for an altitude test. I got to arround 3.5k feet altitude when it landed. I removed the altitude sensors, so it thought it was landing (which it was not) and came down very slow, and the battery was draining fast. I had around 60 percent when i was landing. About 1500 feet i had only 10 precent and the wind was picking up. It went to 0 precent about 1100 feet and the battery failed at 1k feet. It luckily ended up in the ocean far away (i was at hawaii) and didnt hurt anyone. For then on, i never went over that altitude. As for the controller, i ripped it apart and shot the battery with a bb gun and it exploded. (It was really fun)
The constant stream of Nanny Mode reminders on the Tx is a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't pay ten bucks for the drone. It's a shame that they destroyed a nice user interface with babysitting
Holystone in queens NY is really unsafe because of the cell towers and wifi interference it goes out of control and disconnected sometimes can't even connect to the app, so I just go up trust the gps, take the video and come down but holystone is just a toy
This video is fake. Firstly, I've never seen a potentic atom reach 22 meters per second. Secondly, there was something strange about his battery, he went 11km away and barely discharged, and 3 I found too, I've never seen a long range reach all that.

My Potensic Atom goes about 1,500 feet in city before losing signal. Kind of annoying. Glad to see yours go for miles like they claim!

I have no idea how you got that range, i have all the limits turned off and i think the most ive gotten is 3400 ft before losing rc signal completely.

Another tip, tap the power button to shut up the beeper

The slower you fly, the longer your battery lasts. 15 mph will get you 6km+
