Yes! I collected the cards just because I loved the pilots and ships. I had no idea how to play. My favorite was the Redemption. Just love frigates. Who doesn't. FRIGATES❤❤

Glad to see you back! Favorite card here has to be the Corellian Corvette: the OG light side capital starship in the game and the very first starship you're introduced to in the SW universe with A New Hope. Keep it up and looking forward to the rest of the series.
Great list! In my experience Spiral goes in pretty much every deck so maybe it belongs higher.
Love this list! My favorite back in the day was the Corellian Corvette: the only Light side Capital I had + Quad Laser Cannon. I only played the Premiere set!

I'll be slightly controversial here and say my favourite capital ship is the Bright Hope. This is mainly because I run matching starfighters with their pilots in my Echo Base Operations deck, but in order to get the card into play in the first place we need to have 3 Echo Base sites controlled. Because it has a permanent pilot and deploys like a Starfighter, I just throw it in the docking bay, deploy The First Transport is away, deploy Echo Base Operations, move the person in the War Room into the passenger seat, take off. Next turn I shuttle whomever is left on Hoth up, deploy a bunch of 1 cost pilots into the passenger slots, then retrieve 12 force at my leisure before using its ship docking capability to swap out the matching pilots as they come up. No need for 8 cost+ deploys.

Echo Base Operations reduces the cost to deploy at Systems by -1. So that makes Biggs Darklighter, Red Leader, Kier Santage and crew all cost 1 instead of their default 2.
Because I start with Twil'lek Advisor to get A New Secret Base I don't start with Squadron Assignments, so there is a good chance my pilots will end up elsewhere anyway so the ship docking capability helps sort that out as we get to mid-game.
My favorite is Tantive IV since I had it in my deck for so long. Great stuff.

Loved the Home One since getting on in my second DS2 pack; never really got to use it much but I liked the idea of auto drawing battle destiny and being resistant to attrition.

Love your videos! Agree w/ everything more or less. You might be underselling the Nebby B's tho; just enough hyberspeed to make it from Rndvz Point to Tatooine and It can carry a few X-Wings to boot. All w/ a destiny of 3. The weapon portion is just gravy. Anyway, my 2cents. Great tier list!
Tantive was the bomb for so long. My favourite for a while was Redemption though in my janky Bacta Tank decks when I was a kid.
Spiral is such a great card to just put in any deck. I put that and the Tantive IV in there for some crazy shenanigans

I’ve got a ton of those Transport and Escort ships cos I bought a box of DSII starters back in the day.
Favourite card of that list is Tantive IV, one of my first good rares!

I enjoyed seeing a lot of these cards show up again in the LCG by FFG. They paid a lot of homage to this game, Thunderflare for example. 90s kids might remember the LS capital Mon Cals from DS2 appeared in the X-Wing Alliance PC game. Fingers crossed for the drawing.
Tantive IV and Spiral are definitely my faves.

I used to play with Liberty only as my deck’s Command Ship; though I’ve recently started using Home One in my EBO deck instead.
Like the roast a card bit. Especially the evil dead easter egg. Klatu Barada Nikto
I liked the Redemption. A little expensive but if you can get it down on the table early with the Bacta Tank and keep bringing back Luke with saber, totally worth it.
I just found your chanel. I play Star Wars CCG, a long time ago, but i still have all my cards, the best CCG i have played. the rules and rotation of force pile are awesome. I've got lot of fun with this game back in the time... Last tournament i've played in this game, i have won against the national champion on the first round. A big memory of mine with the gain of the biggest title of my gamer carrers but it's an other story. If you play the old game: x-wing, on PC, the independence is the flagship of operation. that's why i love this ship so much but as a game piece, the winged-one, the Liberty is more efficient. In deck, i use ships with build-in pilot, it's more efficient, like 'red leader in red one'. But one always do the cut, it's the Home One, with 4 ability, except in some hasardous fight, it's always a destiny draw. (Zuckuss in Mist Hunter...). Nice season premiere! I always liked Spiral. Super versatile. Can throw it in an X-Wing deck to react with, or play it in a ground-focused deck with only one or two other ships since it's cheap enough to stack your characters onto.
Home One is great. My only knock is that I always wanted to see it as a sideways card like Executor.

Tantive IV in the 3 spot!! Fatty coming out of the gates this season looking for the Heat! Home one is cool, but I mean Tantive was the only unique light side capital ship for soooo long. It did a lot of the heavy lifting in space in those early days.

You're not wrong about the transports but I did have a Hoth based The First Transport is Away deck back in the day, and successfully pulled it off with the Bright Hope a number of times. Planetary Ion Cannon was pretty brutal with the lady who could shoot it during your control phase. It also ran the Redemption/Bacta Tank combo you mentioned.

Leaving a comment to try and win that starter pack! I remember pulling a Defiance from a DS2 pack and 13 year old me thought it was so damn cool. I also pulled an Independence a week or so later and thought it was just way worse 'cause it didn't have all that cool extra text for the weapons. Guess that's 'cause I didn't really understand immunity to attrition (or attrition in general) at the time.
Spiral is severely underrated. + Ability 2 in a pinch and some decent forfeit really allows you to spread out and drain without fear.

One weapon card type Decipher never tried before they lost the license I could foresee for SWCC is a space weapon like an orbital weapons platform, something you can’t move but can be used to defend your system cards. I’m also surprised they never made a spacetrooper or Ysalamari card from Timothy Zhan’s EU work, those would’ve spiced up the game.
Covert landing + Luminous + First Transport is away retrieve, then rebel ambush maybe?!!
I don’t think I ever made a light side deck without Tantive IV or Redemption 😅

Spiral is definitely underrated.
Those are my top 3 too. I’ve always thought LS ships were cooler than DS. In my group growing up there was always a rumor of a ship more powerful than home one or the executor.. but no one had it to prove it. Definitely before google 😂

My only comment is about Klaatu and Barada. They are actually a sneaky reference to an older film. I'll just say that KLAATU and BARADA are both NIKTO, and leave it to you to work it out.

Overall, I somewhat agree with this list. Defiance being so low has me questioning your sanity, but when you explained that in a weapons deck it ranks higher and it only ranks this low on its own made me believe in you again, lol.

Gotta say I really disagree with some of the rankings here! Here's mine and why:
1. Home One - Yeah, it's great. Definitely the best LS capital overall. So much functionality in a small package.
2. Spiral - Who doesn't like that awesome cheap react and ability 2?
3. Corellian Corvette - So, so good. Deploy 4 forfeit 8!!!
4. Nebulon-B - Is amazing with Heavy Turbolaser Batteries and a few gunners aboard. Bye bye Executor and Chimaera! Take out ZIMH even. And for just 5 force to deploy, you get a good hyperspeed of 4, and the ability to embark 2 starfighters to move a small fleet around inexpensively.
5. Tantive IV - Good, but loses much effectiveness in later formats with Coward. But don't forget that spy pilots can deploy with a starship without a permanent pilot to a system or sector without presence or force icons. So they're a good alternative.
6. Defiance - Is kick-ass with Heavy Turbolasers and gunners. But they're so expensive that in many ways Nebulon-Bs are better.
7. Independence is solid all-around. Just expensive.
8. Medium Bulk Freighter is an excellent weapons platform. Quad Laser Cannon, Concussion Missiles, it's independent so works with QMC, great with CEC, etc.
9. Redemption - I want to like it more in play than I do. It's just hard to get going. Maybe better with EBO or a HB Tatooine Celebration?
10. Liberty - Meh. Great image. Certainly way better than the non-unique MC80. But it's way too expensive to just keep forfeiting. I don't like it in play as much as I wish I could.
11. Mon Calamari Star Cruiser - I have had a hard time ever using the MC80 cruisers, but they're such a cool card. They really should be deploy 7 though.
12. Masanya - Meh. But it is the coolest light side starship image in the game. If it protected all your starships at its system from missiles, it would be better. But it's held back by the cost of the generic cruiser nonetheless.
13. Luminous - Definitely better than Bright Hope.
14. Bright Hope - Sucks like the regular Medium Transports.
15. Medium Transports - Suck and should be last on the list. By far.
HOW DARE YOU DISAGREE. Damn I actually learned a lot from this comment. Corvettes have been rocking me in the current P-H format tourney... they just are so cheap.. and so much forfeit..

Neb. B- well i know what my next deck is going to be... shit. Ok if i get this right. you could deploy the Turbo lasers for free instead of 4 force. and have wedge piloting, and Wes as a passenger... you would get 6 added to the destiny draw... wow. imagine if you added Luke pilot and Dack too. plus 12? add a non unique gunner 14?! omg.. lol
Or spend more money and go with Defiance and get plus 18?

@@fatty777 Yes, you've got it! Captain Verrack is the other gunner you want. He reduces cost to fire as well. Kin Kian and Karie Neth are also indespensible (better than Dak and Wes since they're pilots), and with DS2 Wedge they cancel a dark side battle destiny!
I don't bother with the non-uniques. They're awful. They should have been destiny 3, forfeit 2.
You can combine with Capital Support or Taking Them With Us for improved effectiveness. And with all the weapons, you definitely want Superficial Damage, and a copy or two of On Target, plus 2x Stay Sharp! of course.

Honestly, I never liked the light side ship designs. Nothing can beat the imperials when it comes to ship design.
