    Casey, I have a lot of respect for you, but it kind of pisses me off how you're acting like its no big deal. Bronx will never be the same because of YOUR irresponsibility, it's your job as a pet owner to protect him, and you failed. Now you're just trying to make yourself feel better by saying Bronx is happy

    I really hope you guys put up a fence. Bronx isn't a wild wolf he's a domesticated dog.. You guys talked about him running away like it's no big deal.. he would have been with me on a leash from his first escape.. Please don't let there be a repeat of this, or even a worse case scenario.. You are responsible for your animals safety and letting him explore the mountains isn't safe..

    • @lilyjameson5156
      @lilyjameson5156 9 лет назад +41

      Kess Sheeran Thank you for having a brain. There are very few of us on here. This is all Casey's AND Kayli's fault, and it really bothers me that he acts like it's no big deal. I wish he'd have to have his leg cut off and see how it feels. He was warned by some of us who cared many times...put up a fence...put up a damn fence already! But nooo, too much trouble. Bronx escaped so many times, and he's had so many close calls. I'm surprised he's still alive. And Zeke is in just as much danger, because Shay is just as dense and irresponsible as Casey.

    • @KatieBug1194
      @KatieBug1194 9 лет назад +8

      Lily Jameson I agree that they should have handle the situation differently and supervised their dog differently. But, I think it's very insensitive to be saying it's "all Casey's and Kayli's fault". You can tell that this is hard for them based on the other vlogs. There is no need to be mean at this point.

    • @lilyjameson5156
      @lilyjameson5156 9 лет назад +33

      ***** Oh, please. They're both irresponsible and deserve to feel bad for what has happened to Bronx, not appeased by their idiot "fans." Bronx didn't deserve this. When you have a pet, you're supposed to care for them properly so that they don't suffer like this.

    • @KatieBug1194
      @KatieBug1194 9 лет назад +5

      Lily Jameson Obviously they feel bad and have learn a valuable lesson as a pet owner. Hopefully, they learn from this. But, there is no need to be rude to them. It won't change anything.

    • @JaneDoe-my3ov
      @JaneDoe-my3ov 9 лет назад +41

      I agree, they need to be more responsible than this.. Both shay and Casey have some strange logic.. Their dogs run away and they're all over social media asking people to pray for their return and when they do come back, they put NO measures in place to ensure that the situation doesn't happen again.. And Casey mentioned coyote traps.. Which we can obviously infer that there are wild coyotes in the surroundings.. You guys can honestly do better.. You can tell Bronx I love you 24/7 but please realize you are putting his life in danger by allowing him to roam these mountains.. You guys are nowhere near financially unstable, installing a fence won't cut down on your pocket

    I never comment on any video and I haven't watched in months but I saw a picture of Bronx on Instagram. Wow. This was 100% preventable. I keep my dog on leash and in a fenced yard for HER safety. A pet is a family member and this truly breaks my heart how Bronx must have suffered in that trap and how scared he must have been. I know I'm late to the party on this whole thing but...uhg. Glad Bronx is up and running and hopefully you look after him.

    This situation reminds me of when I had my dog in the hospital. He had Kidney Failure. We visited my dog, Scamp, every day. He was never his usual self. To see a dog that used to eat any sort of food he could get whether it be on the table or right out of my hand not want to eat the food that's right in front of him really broke my heart. And he was a Westie, so that's really a feat.
    After about 3 weeks, the hospital said that there was nothing more that they could do and that we should take him home and pray for a miracle.
    Im not a very religious person, but I prayed 5 times a day for a week to just help my dog. He was not only my dog, but being an only child, he was my brother also.
    After about 4 days, we had to put him down. He just wasn't having fun anymore.

  • @Lady-Cat
    @Lady-Cat 9 лет назад +81

    Please, for the future safety of any of your animals, get a fence, or at least care if they run away. Getting worried a week after your dog ran away is unacceptable. If you would have kept an eye on your dog more, he wouldn't have three legs right now. Your neighbors have serious problems if they think it's right to have coyote traps in their yard. Animal cruelty is disgusting and wrong, no matter if the animal is wild or not, or even potentially dangerous. Animals do not deserve to be stuck in a trap for days outside in the cold and in serious pain. I don't care what animal it is or how dangerous they are. It's wrong. Not trying to be negative, hateful, or mean, but I stand for animal rights and against animal cruelty. Hearing you casually talk about how your dog ran away and now has three legs seriously upset me, and continues to upset me. Especially since you didn't care that your neighbors have coyote traps. Think about how many other animals, and possibly pets, could get caught in one of those traps, and possibly die. That's not okay. :/

    • @williamjohnson7163
      @williamjohnson7163 9 лет назад +2

      Lady Cat I don't like the idea of traps, either. Kids could be wandering around and run into a trap. I am sure they are hidden so the coyotes can't see them. I think it is a painful death. So their neighbor eventually checks the traps and just shoots the animal. I guess there are no laws for hunting coyotes. Yellowstone brought back the wolves. They know the wolves eat deer, elk, and other animals. I think they use the wolves to control the number of deer, etc. Terri Johnson

    • @autumnssssss
      @autumnssssss 9 лет назад +1

      usually, their dogs wander around and come back in a day or two. they're smart animals. although, this time he didn't come back but it's no reason to feel bad for him. this happens a lot, humans make mistakes (if you can believe it) and this was one of those times.

    • @Lady-Cat
      @Lady-Cat 9 лет назад +1

      "This happens a lot," that is what the HUGE problem is. It shouldn't happen AT ALL. Country or not, it should not happen. Humans do make mistakes, but after the second time of it happening, it is no longer a mistake, it is ignorance and stupidity. An animal losing it's leg is not "one of those times". Animals may be smart, but they depend on humans to take care of them, and that is exactly what did not happen with Bronx. If it did, Bronx would not have lost his leg so carelessly.

    This video inspires me so much, and let's me know that my beloved Smoky (Staffordshire bull terrier) is going to be okay, and that he's going to be happy, and live a happy rest of his life. He's 4 and a half, and got hit by a car. He walked himself home afterwards, because he's a fighter. They had to remove his leg, and he's at the vet now. The dead leg was making him very sick. He has his other 3 legs, and this video inspires me, and makes me feel happy, and let's me know that he will heal, and will be the same old Smoky he always was. I've had him since he was 5 weeks, and he is my everything. This video gives me hope. My family refused to lose him, so he's coming home tommorow with us. Thank you for sharing. How many warning signs does this family need? It's been commented on numerous times that this family is just straight up NEGLECTFUL of their dog and they are too blind to see any other way but their own. Now how many times has Bronx run away? Wasn't his leg broken not too long ago? Now they had to take his leg off! I'm so so mad and sad for that puppy. DOMESTICATED animals don't know boundaries. Casey, your dog was in torturous pain for days and YOU are the one to blame first and foremost! Live up to your mistakes and be a better pet owner or don't own pets! Your views on how to properly raise animals disgusts me and almost makes me want to cry. Bronx could still have four legs if he was just kept inside a fence!

    You know how it's REALLY rude to tell someone else how to raise their kids? Well, same goes for a owning a pet. Everyone has their own way of raising kids, as well as pets. Both of my dogs were never the kind of dogs to "take walks" they hate leashes and hate being "walked". We let them out in the back yard to run around, play and do their business and when they want to come in they wait at the door, sit on the porch, or start barking.. But there have been multiple times were they would not necessarily run away, but wander off. Just like Bronx did. Is it tragic that he ran off and got caught in a coyote trap, yes. But that is not Casey's fault and everyone needs to stop putting the blame on him. Like he said, dogs are very strong willed. Bronx is happy, if he wasn't, he would be whining and crying. He's happy and healthy.. That's all that matters.

    • @taylahhenderson4609
      @taylahhenderson4609 9 лет назад +9

      You have a point. You can definitely let your dog run around freely in a backyard. But the thing is Bronx wasn't in their backyard.. He wandered off to a neighbours house and got caught in a coyote trap. Who lets their dog run free when there is coyote traps around? It isn't that hard to hire someone to put up a fence to keep their dogs safe. They have enough money and property of their own to do this. It's just irresponsible and not fair on the dogs. He should feel ashamed and I'm proud of people standing up for Bronx, he doesn't have a voice. Yeah Bronx is happy he has a family that loves him. But he would be a lot happier and pain free if they thought about their dog the first time he went missing. Love and responsibility tie in together.

    I had to unsubscribe - this is just unbelievable to me. How many times has this dog run away, it's a miracle he still has three legs left with the way these people take care of their animals. Also, dogs are not wild animals (counter to ALL of the conversation going on here). They were domesticated and bred to be reliant on humans. A wolf is a wild animal, not a dog, and that's part of the reason why any dog that's suspected to have descended directly from (aka mother or father) a wolf is put down if they come into shelters.
    If this poor guy lost his leg the first time he ran away, that would be a different story, but after the first three times you should have taken precautions. This didn't need to happen.

    I'm so sorry about your dog :(
    When my dog Sammie (RIP) was 3 years old, we had him playing in our backyard in an enclosed area. Well there was a bees nest on the ground that he got into, and there was literally not one single centimeter of his body that wasn't covered in a bee. You couldn't see his eyes. So my dad got the hoes and sprayed him like lightning speed fast and then drove him to the local vet. He was in the hospital for 3 months (cost my parents $20,000) but he finally recovered! He lived a super long life, he died when he was 14!
    Dogs do recover and it's amazing. Animals are amazing. They never judge you for anything, and give you nothing but unconditional love...except when they get into the food, tear apart pillows, attack your neighbors chickens, possibly kill one of them, poop in the house...the list goes on. Animals are the best ❤️

    This makes me really upset.. If you know there's traps out there you should have put a fence up. Bronx is a domestic dog, he doesn't know about traps and what happens if you touch them since he doesn't live in the wild. I get they want them to be able to run around freely and be happy but if you know its dangerous you should at least care enough about him to put a damn fence up. Watching him walk broke my heart. I can only imagine the confusion and pain hes going through. I'm not trying to be mean but this whole situation is your fault and could have easily been prevented. Poor buddy

      restlessroadpll Yeah, I just found out! I think Casey is such an irresponsible owner for letting Bronx out without supervision so many times. Ultimately, no matter what way you look at it, it is Casey's fault for Bronx's amputation.

    • @evanlferguson
      @evanlferguson 9 лет назад

      Brandy shut the hell up! Do you think caddy intentionally let Bronx out so he would get his leg injured?! No. It's Casey's property and Bronx is a dog, he's going to roam wherever he feels like it, it's a god damn mountain! When letting him out to the toilet he can't always keep an eye on him. Dogs- especially big dogs- want to be outside, not inside all day. He strayed off property and it's the neighbours fault for laying down cruel barbaric traps! I hope that makes THEM realise traps are a cruel way to say. I'm sure you keep your pets under lock and key and never even let them out to explore the land they once owned. Dogs came from a wild background and even though they're domestic now they still once roamed the land alone and survived just fine. They're showing him love and that's all that matters. If you don't like spending change it, if you can't change it, change your attitude and don't complain :)

    • @xXxLittlexMissxEMOxX
      @xXxLittlexMissxEMOxX 9 лет назад +1

      Evans Daily Life It is completely fine if Bronx is on Casey's property but the thing is he's not. It is very irresponsible to let your dogs out and wander unsupervised in the wilderness. You can't say Bronx can "roam wherever he feel like it." Dogs take 10 min MAX on the bathroom. Your telling me that Casey can't even bother to take 10 minutes a couples times a day to watch his wandering dog? I own 60 acres of land. 5 of wich are FENCED (Very expensive but it's for my dog's safety). I do have a small dog and because of that I take my time inspecting the fence EVERYDAY for any holes he can possible get out. He is free to run around in the 5 acres when I'm not watching him because I know he'll be safe. Safe from traps and other wild animals. Look, i'm vegan and I have a strong opinion on animal cruelty and all that. And I see nothing wrong with traps. Now that's another topic but in short if you are willing to kill the animal you will eat then I see no problem. Let's face it most people aren't willing to do that. Not only that but I prefer people who hunt vs the farms and slaughter houses where the animals are treated terribly. It's the neighbors choice if they want to set out traps or not and it is 120% Casey's fault for Bronx's amputation. " Dogs came from a wild background and even though they're domestic now they still once roamed the land alone and survived just fine." WHEN THEY WERE WILD YOU FUCKING IDIOT! They are not wild anymore and there is a lot of human interference now, like the coyote trap Bronx stumbled upon. It's not like it was DOGS roaming around it was WOLVES you fucking twat. Wolves and dogs are completely different animals. This is one of the theories of how it started in short - wolf puppies found by humans and raised as pets, the nice puppies were raised and the more aggressive one's were killed, the breeding of the nicer ones created "wolves" even more tolerable of their human owners and as they relied more and more on humans a lot of natural instincts were lost. And as the captive generations went on there where physical and behavioral changes in the wolves resulting as dogs. There are some fox breeders in Russia who are trying to domesticate them. At about the 50th generation there was MAJOR physical changes in the foxes. From pointy ears to floppy ears. There tails started to wag and their overall physical appearance and attitude was notably different. Casey should be ashamed for letting Bronx out unsupervised and you should be ashamed for defending him and trying to put blame on the neighbors.

    Honestly, I sobbed crying when I saw Bronx come out of the vet... as an animal lover, caretaker and breeder, I do know that animals adapt VERY well to limb loss. It's amazing that he is very happy and recovering so well but it's just so unfortunate. Nobody should have to go through this. Not a person, a dog, not even an insect. Also, please refrain from putting down Casey because he wasn't crying on camera to hundreds of thousands of viewers. You can definitely tell he was upset, especially when he was filming the drive home from the vet. Just because it's not on film, doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is just as traumatic for animal owners and it is for people who's loved one is going through this. My positive vibes and thoughts are with the Butlers and little Bronx.

    Happy for Bronx. He may be three legged but we all love him the same and maybe even more. You guys are doing the best thing for him. Proud to him so excited.
