Several people have asked about a timeline on completing certain projects. I will get to them eventually as I get time and funds to do so. However, If you’d like to help speed up the progress on some of my projects through PayPal, feel free to donate here:

That is a sweet 1750, one of the more under appreciated Oliver models in my opinion. Good thing you didn't need the duck. An Oliver Man only has so many ducks to give.
I just couldn’t give a duck this time. Of all the ducking jobs, this just wasn’t one. Maybe the next one will be a mother ducker.
great wiring job
Back in about 1961 my Dad had an Oliver outboard on a wood river boat up here in Alaska. I think it was a 16 horse. Ran great!
That’s awesome! I’ve always wanted to find one of the boat motors but haven’t managed that yet.
Wow, that is a clean, great running original tractor! And with the over/under too! She'd be a great addition to anyone's collection! Nice fix! Thanks for the video!
Thanks!!! I like the late ones with the Hydraul-Shift! Maybe someday I’ll have a chance at it.
Hmm…I guess what I call clean original differs greatly from your version. We had one from 1970-1986 when all the equipment was sold off. It was a 1966 w/ the 2 speed powershift. Dad made a canopy for it to protect from elements. It was a reliable tractor, with a few quirks. Cold starts required ether and full throttle. But we put over 3000 hrs on it. It was used for an 8 row wide IH air planter, 8 row wide row crop cultivator, 7’ woods mower for shredding stalks and mowing waterways and ditches, rotary hoe, pulling wagons(1 or 2 Killbros 375’s), and even on occasion a 26’ disk. For a Waukesha engine, it lasted a good long time. Still it wasn’t the quality of the Perkins 354 that were in 1850’s which we also had…….it was used and abused.
We owned a 1750 it didn't run when we got it !! It was diesel so it had the knock off injection pump and the 2 piece ventilated block !! It had 750 hours on it ! We bought it for the rear end and the top cover and 3 point parts it had detent hydraulic levers the top cover went on our A series 1800
That’s kind of unusual for a 1750 to blow. Most of the times it was the turbo charged ones.
Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching! Hope they were satisfied with the bill lol !
I didn’t even charge them for an hour so I think it will be fine lol
Ross your the man. I like to see someone with knowledge of Oliver's. You remind me of Chris the Oliver guy.
I’ve grown up with them. I’m no expert but I know a few things haha
👍
That wonderful Oliver tractor , put back run sounds great
It’s a good one for sure!!
We have a very nice 1750 d 3spd as well super closet the end of production. Has a 55 front and 55 rear housing that was never finished for the hydraulic pump. Video of me plowing with it on my channel.
I’ll have to check that out!!! That’s pretty neat!!!
Nice horse to add to your stable 🚜🚜
I hope so, someday!
That's a sweet rig, might be a machine that I'll consider purchasing later down the line. I've always liked the 310s, except for when they create a second crankcase breather.
I love the late ones with the Hydraul-shift. They took good care of this one.
Once again awesome job, that just proves that you are the knower of all things Oliver. I was a little disappointed though, I seen the hand tools and the electrical tape but I didn’t hear the duck quacks
Thanks!! I’m just glad it was what I thought it would be. A simple fix! No ducks this time 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 🤣🤣🤣
You’re right bud. It’s almost perfect
A wash and wax would go a long way!
Nice tractor, that thing would look amazing with a polish and wax!
I agree! It would shine up beautifully!!!
And another great video!!!
Thank you!!!
Seeing this reminded me; I follow a FB page called Iowa Abandoned Images and a guy had posted some picture of an abandoned homestead. In one of the photos was what I believe is a 1755 with a cab sitting in the trees. It looked in good condition and from what I could see of the cab the glass was good. It was obviously abandoned but trees hadn’t grown up through or fallen on it yet. The guy that took the photo said he wasn’t sure what model it was he took the picture from the road and didn’t have permission to go onto the property. It sure was sad to see that tractor sitting there like that but I guess you can’t save them all. ☹️
It’s a shame but not much you can do if you can’t find the owner:(
@@rosstheoliverman yes unfortunately that particular page has a rule not to divulge exact locations for obvious reasons. I did message the photographer and asked him to pass my information to the property owner if he ever found out who it was, ya never know I might get lucky.
I noticed the battery lid is missing, I’m also missing mine on an 1850. Is there someone who makes replacements? Thanks for the quick repair video.
I’m not sure about that. It wouldn’t really be a hard piece to make as it’s mostly flat. I would guess that they still have the battery lid for this one hanging in the shed
Interested in your thoughts on heat shrink connectors. I’ve started using them but not sure if they are making a difference yet except in my own head. Nice video!
I like them, but they are usually expensive. I’ve also had some that didn’t melt correctly but overall they’re a good idea.
Great video thanks for sharing. Hop you don’t mind me asking I am putting new wiring harness on Oliver GM 1950. The alternator has a small square box on top of alternator which looks to be regulator. The question I have the single wire from alternator hooks to what? Starter switch? Also there is a larger red wire and a pink wire coming from starter I’m trying to figure where these go to. Amp gauge for the big red wire? If so the two posts on Amp gauge have a “B” and “L” not for sure which one? I would really appreciate your expertise on this. If I’m not suppose to ask you questions like this I apologize.
JKK
No problem at all. It may be difficult to explain without seeing a picture of what you have. If you can email me a picture of your setup I can help you figure it out. You can also watch my video on charging systems I linked in this video. I tried to explain everything in there.
Thanks. I can’t find the charging link? I will take some pictures tomorrow and message you. I can’t find your email either.
@@johnkissack5295 ruclips.net/video/seubsInSJ2o/видео.html email is in the video description. Thanks.
Is it better to repair that or add a single wire alternator just curious for long time use thanks
Everything on this is new. I’ve done this exact same repair on my own stuff for over 10 years. I would rather have original than change it around. It’s too nice of a tractor.
Ok sounds good I will do that on my new purchase of the 1850
Can someone help me track down engine info.
Pretty sure I just blew a piston. Oliver 1750 oliver 1750 engine number 165624a

Trying to find a rebuild kit.
Call Korves Oliver.
I was really hoping you'd have to break the duck out dang it 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 No duck this time!
@@rosstheoliverman I might need to barrow the duck from ya to change the seat and fuel tanks on my 7060
@@cumminspower-oo9xj I’ve done that job before. You’ll need 2 ducks, six cows, and a jackass.
@@rosstheoliverman I did the seat in our 7040 and 8030 you gotta have that an 14 other fellas around to give a hand
@@cumminspower-oo9xj it would be so much easier if that cab had 2 doors!
