I just quit my job as a former PSE mail clerk, AIR mail lead and City Carrier Mailman for the USPS between NY, NC and NJ. I opened up my Packing & shipping store. I am still building my store. I have ordered 80 plus mailboxes so far from Mailbox Cluster which provides the boxes by Florence in Kansas. I am a notary on site and I am doing Passport photos as well. I purchased two counters, digital weight scales. Working with Postalmates too. I have a contract with FEDEX so far. DHL was very helpful with making contact as well for a contract. UPS and USPS seems more difficult to obtaining a corporate contract with for business and becoming an access point drop off. If you have any other suggestions to help my business I would greatly appreciate any counsel. Thank you and God Bless you in your business as well and your future endeavors.
The down side to front loading boxes... is going to be sorting the mail while being open. If you leave the mail area you have lock it and take all mail behind the counter.

I have a small digitizing store I'm opening.. I am wondering if I can put mailboxes in the store.. do I have to have Fedex usps and ups accounts to have mailboxes? I don't see a lot of content out there about the mailboxes...
I’m actually starting a program where I will rent out the fully framed mailboxes to stores where they can rent out mailboxes themselves. You don’t need to have those accounts with the carriers.
Postalmate only lets you scan in packages with tracking numbers. For in store mailboxes we don’t scan mail in, for virtual they have their own apps for free where we can scan mail in.
Are these mailboxes commercial or private and are they 4C? I guess the USPS changed their requirements?? I don't see anything like yours. They all have a mail slot.
The exterior that shows the box number will be engraved. The box number will never change the person renting it will. We will just change the paper name plate on the inside

We sort behind the counter and only takes a few minutes to place in each box

Mine at 4B+ and are USPS approved. They do not need to be usps approved since the mail carrier is not the one loading the mail and are inside.

What happens with name plates when person cancels
The exterior only shows the box number. The interior would be paper and can be replaced and re-written
