@@dietotakuAt least JD was right about what he said. Walz waltz'd around every serious question. JD was like a Trump that stayed on point. Walz was like a smarter Kamala. As for Walz talking about abortion, it has already been decided that each state will vote for themselves on how they want to go about it.

Of course the politicians are not stupid, they would cover their backs riding on some policies that could work their way.
But the point is the context that Vance was trying to explain : Kamala has been LETTING immigrants in OPENLY, where they are given "Legal" status much quicker than normal legitimate immigrants. You probably still won't understand this but in my country, this happened and it was a serious issue. Crime rate definitely increase, and government spending too. And why does the politicians do this? Because they want to get more voters for themselves by holding these "Legal" immigrant at ransom. Because he was lying. The "CB1" he's trying to explain.....was created in 2020....under Trump and that's when most of the Haitians were allowed in. The city was actually actively looking for workers. So blame the Republican governor and mayor if you don't like immigrants. The city was slowly dying, but now the city is actually growing...and I don't mean by population. The economy has doubled since their arrival. And yes...problems come along with that in city services.....but making up scare tactics that lead to bomb threats doesn't help the city resources out at all. The 15,000 or so Haitians are here LEGALLY under the law. They're not eating dog, cat, geese. There's several made up stories about how that started. One, a neighbor in Springfield couldn't find her dog...so she called the police and blamed her Haitian neighbors for stealing it and eating it....and she posted in online. A day or two later....she found the dog in her basement. When that story got out there..other internet trolls went to work. There was a TikTok video of a black guy carrying geese and implied it was a Haitian killing geese and taking them home in Springfield. First, he wasn't Haitian, it didn't happen in Springfield, and a car hit the geese on the side of the road and the guy was picking them up...TMZ of all places figured this out. And of course...the Presidential and V.P. nominees get their information off the internet. Even though J.D. Vance was giving the facts, that the stories weren't true from the city mayor.

Faktumet er at de nordiske landene er høytillitssamfunn som har alltid hatt lave sosiale ulikheter, høy kapital, og lite konflikt mellom ulike interesser selv før gjennomføringen av velferdsstaten. Derfor fungerer velferdsstaten i norden. I think Vance did an actually good job here. He showed cordial responses and respect. I think waltz really did a good job pointing out the failures of the Trump campaign. The thing that I have seen that news media hasn't been purporting enough is when Vance says that he will agree that climate change is real just so they aren't arguing over weird science. That is such a highlight because it goes to show what kind of candidate he is. That he's willing to lie about the facts of science. He's literally arguing that he may not believe the 2 + 2 equals 4 but just for the sake of argument he's willing to say that it is just this once. That is a messed up frame of mind that somebody could argue that because they have an opinion that differs from facts that they will go along with the facts just this once in a debate just for sake of argument

It's to be used on a INDIVIDUAL, case-by-case basis only. "If that country is eligible for TPS, as designated by CONGRESS in response to some event in the home country that made him or her a refugee, the INDIVIDUAL may be eligible for TPS. TPS is only for people from designated countries, who were ALREADY LIVING IN THE US , when TPS was designated for that country.
