@@GeoAce777 Incorrect. It's a major sport in the Caribbean region as well, and has a massive global event on par with the World Cup and even bigger than the Superbowl where it is the centre piece (The Olympics). It is a major sport that's poorly managed.
@@jordanjordannis2258 agree with you on the weak video highlights with a lack of zoom angles I might add. the Caribbean is a sprint heavy region for events up to 400m whereas in Europe they do ALL the events in T&F. Athletics shows up every 4 years at the Olympics with a smaller global audience in the World Championships. Europe is the bulk of Diamond League every year and UK Commonwealth Games are massive.

I mean not be sound negative or anything but this can only spiral worse is she doesn’t fix her mental state going into these races. She is definitely a legit 200m runner, but she struggles to run competitively in any race that puts her under pressure. And considering this race had no real stakes with no world championship medal contenders, her not performing relatively close to her personal best is pretty concerning especially when comes time she races against Fraser Pryce, Jackson, or Thompson Herah, let alone US championships and Worlds

Richardson is a great runner and is possibly the best in the field in this present time, but she chokes tremendously when it comes to racing well in races that actually matter. She’s the same physique as she has been for two or so years but the problem with her is her mental state and ability to not let the pressure get to her. Would love to see her do well this season, but it’s not going to end well if she keeps the same attitude towards every bad race as she has in the past.

Shacarri had a poor reaction time. Also around 130 she saw that she did not separate herself that much from White so she stopped pushing and running. I think her coming off the bend in front is impressive considering her start was mediocre. She needs to figure her start out real quick because the jamaicans won't show her no grace !!!

Sha carri is not better on 200 than the 100, but she need that race even the 400 in competition to explode her 100.
The 200 and 400 would make her a stronger finisher with the 100 I agree and that's all she doing and people that don't know anything about track would say otherwise even say she got second but this her first 200 this year.

Can we stop putting Sha’Carri on the spotlight of everything? Like why is it that whenever someone wins a race that Richardson is in its always “such and such beats Richardson” or “Richardson places this” instead of just highlighting the individual performance of the athlete that won. Same goes for when Jamaica swept a race and Richardson placed dead last and yet they were interviewing her and not putting any attention really towards Elaine’s massive 100m run. It’s one thing if someone as accomplished as someone like Bolt or Fraser-Pryce got beaten, but Richardson has no where near that pedigree, yet World Athletics and NBC collectively continue to make it seem like she is so much better than everyone else and that beating her is some sort of upset
