A fighter set in stone, someone who had and still has a few issues to iron out, but also a seeker of justice that just wants to make his home the best it can however he can, back then it was beating the shit out of hooligans and gangs, after that he didn't care and just craved the highs of fighting regardless of whom they were, despite this, he was still trying to focus his efforts on the "bad people" and now? He beats the shit out of hooligans (with his fists occasionally) and politicians (with words and pure swagger) Love this fella
This character, though i don't play him, has such a sense of swagger in every animation, and the theme fits that so well. His Critical art is just so visually awesome.

I love how all Final Fight characters give tribute to their original origins, with mix of different stage tracks. Also the jazzy big city/80's miami feel is great.

I really like how this theme is more celebratory and has more class than the SFIV version It doesn’t go as hard but it really goes well with Cody’s character development

Nah, prior the story was that his hunger for fights got him in jail because he kept picking fights with people. He's a good person at heart, but ending up in jail was because of his bad habits. His new job is just what he needs to keep himself busy though.

I never understood Capcom's decision to make the chain of Cody's cuffs (back when he was a criminal) so long. I mean, I get they probably couldn't have Cody fighting with his hands tied together. But like, couldn't they just make it to that Cody broke the chain or something?
He left them on so he could have something restricting him, kinda like Iori in KoF leaving his legs tied with his coattails. Remember, Cody's a freak, he's insanely powerful in SF canon, so having a limiter of some kind to mix things up for him was probably kinda entertaining for him.
@@marplatense31 Give him regulation sized cuffs and suddenly the character is so restricted that they have legit no movement options whatsoever. It's a concession for playability, but he still had limits since he still had his hands bound. That being said, Cody could have probably just broken them if he wanted to.
@@vahlok1426 I get that, I pointed that out myself, it just bothers me to see handcuffs with such a long chain. Plus it doesn't make sense to me to say that Cody wants to challenge himself by keeping the handcuffs on, but then make the chain so long.
to break the chain means adding his felony record, thus adding his term of sentence since the chain was not his personal belonging in the first place. so it's either long chain or no chain.
