I have the same exact winch and mount…I welded a hitch on the front of my car trailer so I can use it to drag cars on the trailer and also be able to remove and put on whatever vehicle I need it on…just run jumper cables to it from whatever vehicle your using at the time!

Happy birthday Lance! Definitely get a tree saver strap, also just run cables with a plug to both ends of the hummer so you can just plug the winch in... And custom jumper cables to jump start it from either end of the truck.

Their bad land winch is actually a pretty solid unit. That's what I have on my rzr but a 5k, also done the wireless remote upgrade. And the wireless remote is a must have.

The front reciever hitch pin is hard to get to because you aren't using a stock pin. The stock pin sticks up over the access hole. you can buy them on ebay for about $10-$15.
I have the Same Truck. XS 6500 BATTERY. 500amp fuse. 4.88 gears if you gonna do alot of off-roading.
All you need now is a beefy brushguard and a dual battery kit and that thing will truly be a beast.

Nice. I have an Anderson plug on the front and rear bumper of my truck so I can plug the winch in on either end. Just need a short lead on the winch with an Anderson plug on it.

@@TopLineRacer Go with some big wire. I used the Energizer 30 jumper cable set up for the material. I believe it's 00 wire. It comes with a 5 foot lead to hook to the battery. Already has the Anderson plug. You can use the 25 foot jumper cable backwards to get to the rear. Just hook the clamp end to your battery and plug the winch into the Anderson plug in the rear. I went with a more permanent solution but this way, you still have 25 foot jumper cables if you need them.

Not sure if you have done the diesel swap yet, but I have a recommendation you may want to consider. I just picked up an H2 myself and I am convinced an Isuzu 5.2L mated with a aisin A460/5 might be the way to go. Drove a box truck with one and it was super reliable and decent on fuel economy, for the power it produced. (Could go two weeks before needing fuel on a daily driven route) It's not the most powerful option, but it'd still get you anywhere you'd want to go.
I , also, have an H2 and would be very interested in your swap ideas. I dont know too much about the isuzu 5.2 but damn what an idea and is probably cheaper than the 6.6 swap.
@@MelvinElMorenito I don't personally think it's going to be an easy swap. It's a much larger engine compared to a comparative gas. But right now I don't even have the H2. Around the time I posted this I discovered an issue that affected the legality of the sale. UPDATE: Dealership is being forced by my state to purchase it back. I'll still be out of the taxes on it, but it's better than nothing I guess.

Now just need some tree saver straps to hook to and see about synthetic cable. Also a pulley system to run the cable back to the vehicle will double the winch pounds. So you can turn it into 24k pound winch.
Yeah I actually have a tree saver strap but didn't have it in the Hummer for the video. I do need to grab a pulley for sure.

You need a tree saver strap so you do not screw up your cable. Also get him a synthetic rope line, if that steel cable breaks while you goofballs are playing, it will cut off your head and kill you. Please watch winching video’s before using your winch.
Replace the steel cable with the synthetic rope, just get one rated to pull the hummer and all of that fat weight riding in it.
Keep the Hummer running when winching

Yup. I’ve had two warn atv winch motors burn out but my bad lands winch has done fine. Although I do have a warm tabor 9k that has been abused like hell and is 16 years old and never skipped a beat
