Hi Jay and Amber, Airbourne were formed in Warnambool, Australia 🇦🇺 🇦🇺, in 2003, The lead singer is Joel O'Keefe, who is Bon Scott's double, his brother Ryan O'Keefe is on the drums, the band are in their late 30s, they actually supported AC/DC on tour as well, these guys are amazing!! 😀 😀
Check out these songs from Airbourne :

I'll never forget when I discovered Airbourne. I saw the release trailer for the Madden 2008 video game, and it started like a music video, listing the name of the band and the song, "Runnin' Wild." I heard it and felt for sure this had to have been an 80's metal band that I had somehow missed growing up. So I got online to find out more about them and discovered that they were actually a new band. Went and got the album the same day. (I miss my local record store.) I would actually suggest "Runnin' Wild" for your next reaction. It was their first single, and the video has a cameo by Lemmy Kilmister, the late, great lead singer of Motorhead. If you're into muscle cars, the video for "Live it Up" is also a lot of fun.

Aussie pub rock is a sound unique to Australian bands, but it's easy to see how Amber thought it was American Rock. Try Rose Tattoo "We Can't be Beaten" or "Bad Boy for Love", or The Angels "Take a Long Line" and "Dogs are Talking". One of my favorite Aussie bands is The Butterfly Effect. I saw them live in Melbourne and their sound can be hard-hitting, even though they have deep, melodic energy in some of their songs. I would suggest "Reach", "Always" or "Take it Away" to start with. Also, the lead singer has an amazing voice! ❣

Great one Jay & Amber. Airbourne are such a fun band to listen to, so much raw rock power it's hard to deny. Another Aussie band you will never have heard of is DeMont, circa late 80's early 90's - In My Dreams, I Want Your Body, So Easy, Close To The Edge..... a lot like Europe & Def Leppard. Keep up the good work RSR!

There are many more great Aussie bands. What happened for almost 40 years was bands would learn their craft at pubs and clubs then try to get an overseas record deal but most of the world wanted them to start again or said they were unknowns. They came back and got very good. You would love Jet with Are you gonna be my girl : The angels with Shadow boxer, : Rose Tattoo with We won't be beaten or The Screaming Jets with Better

When you were comparing Airborne to AC/DC, it reminded how much you like Led Zeppelin.
If you want to hear a band that sounds like they could be Led Zeppelin but have really have their own sound try Greta Van Fleet and their song highway tune (or hiway tune, can't remember how the spelling goes) when these guys did this, they were barely out of high school, in fact two of them skipped their graduation to go on tour.

Good reaction. I think I'm safe to say that these guys were one-hit wonder as were a few other bands that you've reacted to and I grew up on. I am a musician myself and everything is an influence.. so I understand. I've recently heard of another band that come from Australia...Amyl and the Sniffers. Absolutely love them because they have a definitively late seventies, early 80s punk vibe. Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Wendy O Williams and the Plasmatics come to mind. Hertz was the first video that I saw. I'm hooked. Maybe you do your action. Thanks. And if you never reacted to some of the above bands, please do.. Keep up the great work🍻🇨🇦
