Riful was my favorite of them because unlike the other ones, all she seemed to want was to live with Dauf in a castle. Her trying to gain allies and her trying to awaken the Rafaela-Luciela fusion were both just attempts at protecting her lifestyle against the aggression of Isley and Priscilla, respectively. It's probable that she and Dauf ate people... But Isley showed that they don't actually need to do that.

I hope it never does. They butchered the ending of the anime so badly it didn't have anywhere to go. Clare doesn't ever make it out of the North. Not til 7 years later with the ghosts. The anime fked all that up. It literally shows Clare walking off continuing her life as a claymore. It was the most shallow ending they could have given it.

I actually agree with you on putting Irene and Clare on the list of (potential) Number 1. I mean, the main reason why Irene was demoted to Number 3 was because she was in the the same time with the two most powerful Warriors, aka Teresa and Priscilla the final boss. So, she had no other choice but to be at rank 3 lol. I personally think that she could be a good Number One if she were put in another generation. And as for Clare, I love the fact that she started as the weakest Warriors (mainly because she is 1/4 Yoma unlike others who are 1/2) and progressed over time to become one of the most badass Warriors in the Claymore universe. At the end of the manga, it is stated by Priscilla that her Quicksword's speed and power is equal to that of Irene, with the only drawback being that she cannot use the technique for too long, since it is not her arm after all. Not only that, she can also use the Wind-cutter, which is a slower but more accurate version of Quicksword which doesn't require Yoma energy, usage of Yoma Sensing to feel and predict movements, she also inherited Rafaela's memories and fighting style. All of that proves that she is indeed on the level of a Number One at the end of the manga.
