Very good instructions!!!!!! And I agree with both your husband and son. The seamless cover for the front makes it so beautiful! And the bees on the waxed thread will be wonderfully whimsical. I am new to "junk" journal community. And I have to admit.....I was lost and decided it wasn't for me because most of them are so busy and full of so much stuff that there is no room left for journaling or adding the special mementos. When I saw yours I thought "Now there is a beautiful journal". That is what they should be like! I love your bee kit and will be making a purchase. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to start making my journals! I love this pattern and the templates you shared. As for the length of the video......I was engrossed til the very end and didn't notice the time!

Great video and use of old file folders. I'm glad I watched all the way through first, though, to avoid some of the "mistakes". 😉I honestly had never seen buttons made that way. I just use real ones. 😜 I also was surprised that you use E6000 to glue down your magnets when double sided tape works fine. It's also easier to position them without waiting for the glue to dry. Love this project and will be making a few.

Great project. Thanks for the walkthrough. I've never seen those little eyelet washers. What I have used is a piece of packaging plastic. Cut a square or rectangle. Cut a u-shape in it big enough to fit around the leg of the eyelet. Place it between the eyelet and the paper or whatever you're putting the eyelet through. Attach the eyelet and ease the plastic out. This option also works if you're using a brad to attach the button.

I'm new to your tutorials and I'm learning a lot so thank you very much. I use the velcro closures in post-it note covers often and have purchased many that were too strong also. I'm not sure if anyone made this suggestion already, but I thought I'd share the only brand I will buy now. VELCRO Brand - 91302 Thin Clear Dots with Adhesive | 75Pk | 5/8" Circles. I'm so new to RUclips that I don't even know if I'm allowed to do this. This brand will not bend your projects as easily. Also, I find that just one in the center of a project is sufficient for keeping items closed. I look forward to viewing more of your tutorials! I ordered magnets that look similar to yours and they are arriving today - fingers crossed they are as good as the ones you use.

I was thinking is to make the envelope flap a bit longer and then glue the envelope magnets to the inner flap instead of the inside of the envelope. Then no closure needed. Envelop opens when you remove the envelope from the cover.
