Another great video on a classic piece of iron! I’m like you, never shy away from buying an oldie and fixing it up. You can still get 22WRF in a CCI round- I have a few boxes. It’s like a 22 Magnum short. But they’re jacketed instead of plated I think- I bought some to use in my Ruger LCR, but they specifically say not to use in a revolver because the jackets may cause the rounds to get stuck in the barrel- I think you could shoot them from a 22WMR rifle fine though
In the Model 121 I would stick to Long Rifle…..and nothing even remotely hot. Thanks for the shout out…..honored to hear you praising the channel….but you must realize I learn just as much from YOU. Love your presentation and professional manner. BTW, found a golden nugget yesterday and I’m finalizing the deal….stay tuned for a real head turner……for guys like US anyway. Thanks for tuning in.
It was the “cartridge retainer” that was missing, not broken, that was causing my issue. The firing pin was fine. These are frequently missing on these models as they fall out of the action on disassembly and are either lost or discarded.
Thank you, thank you. I spent hours trying to fit this piece in a Model 12

😂I already knew it was the firing pin. The one on my grandfather’s broke. It would fire but not eject.
