    Thank you for sharing your method! I've been wanting to make booties to pass out to the unhoused with dogs I'm my area as I'm in Arizona and the pavement can reach 170°+ in the summer and their poor little pads get burnt. You broke it down clearly and simply, thank you so much!

    Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this video. You are such a breath of fresh air. Right down to business with no fancy pattern to buy, no fancy tools to buy and I already have everything I need except the tuff tech material (I think that’s what it is, I’ll have to watch the video again) You are so down to earth and explain things so I can understand. I have three sizes of dogs. A 90 pound German Shepherd, an 8 pound Yorkie and a 5 pound Toy Poodle. We definitely need these for winter. Thank you again for sharing how you make these!💕

    I love how you left room for the dogs nails as well! Thank you for sharing this video! With this hot climate, I’ve been so concerned about my puppies feet, and the shoes I purchased are too big so I’m trying to make my own for her

    Your video is so helpful! Your very talented! I will do my best to follow your tutorial your tips are really helpful! I bought $30 shoes that lasted two days, I'm otr trucker and my Lola (silver lab) feet are suffering from constant dirty pavement. Her shoes gave out that fast. This video will save me a lot of money once I get the hang of it. I wouldn't even thought to start with a simple rectangle to make comfy boots! Thanks a million from Lola and I both💞

    Thank you so much for your videos! I’m in Minneapolis MN and desperately need to make my pocket bully some booties. His poor paws are swelling from the pavement and heat. I can’t take him outside until I get these done so your videos are helping tremendously! Thank you ❤️

    You might try using a wooden spoon to push into the corners so your fingers don’t get sore.

    Hi There, I've been making your boot for several years. I've been using suede on the bottom and am considering using the Toughtek. What's your opinion on that product for the extreme cold that we get here in MN? Does it crack? Does it seem to be comfortable for the dogs? I am also going to be making some hot weather boots. Great videos, instructions, and an excellent product.

    • @PetPrepper
      @PetPrepper  Год назад

      Spend the extra $ on quality tough teck or it will crack. Yes it is comfortable and people say the dogs have great traction

    This is fabulous. Do you think it would help if you used pinking shears when trimming off the excess fabric before turning inside out.

      It’s fleece so it doesn’t fray. So no need

    How far from the top edge of the fleece do start sewing the wrap around Velcro?

    • @PetPrepper
      @PetPrepper  Год назад +1

      Depends on the size of the boot. Less than an inch no matter the size though

    Hey there! Love your videos and can't wait to make your boots! I have a Dogue de Bordeaux who is 90 lbs and a Great Dane who is 170 lbs. Can you tell me what size to use? It would appear both would n need the 5X7 but the Great Dane's paws are much larger than the Dogue de Bordeaux so I wanted to verify before I get to work! :) Thanks.

    • @PetPrepper
      @PetPrepper  2 года назад +2

      Thank you so much! That’s a really hard question to answer without having the dog here to do a fitting. My best advice is to measure the Dane from toe to stopper pad while standing to get the length. Then around the highest and widest point of foot to measure the width. The good thing is if they are too big you can always sew them smaller and smaller till they fit like a sock nice and snug

    • @PetPrepper
      @PetPrepper  2 года назад +1

      Or try one of your socks on the dogs and use that as a makeshift pattern

    Do you think these would hold up long term if i made a pair for a service dog? She'd be using them a lot.

    • @PetPrepper
      @PetPrepper  Год назад +1

      I lived in MN and people would walk their dogs on the chemicals used in the winter daily. They would last a year or 2
