If you die and go to Hell without selling your soul first, you don't get powers. +”Does this make Eve an Overlord?” Technically yes, which is how she would have powers in Hell when she gets freed from her tree prison. Just wanted to give a heads up because I imagine Saffiro sees the long posts from me on here and wondering what the heck I'm doing. Sorry I just got inspired by yours and just been writing that here. My AU is different I'll admit, but I just want to keep sharing it here. Inspired by Saffiro Hazbin Hotel AU and the first part of the story is where Even is turned into a tree. Vaggie in the past when first arrived in Hell. For a long time Vaggie was trapped there with Charlie deceiving her to stay. Charlie never truly loved her, but she enjoyed what she had. The Mark of Cain. She put up a great facade and for many years Vaggie thought she was loved and welcomed. Things turned sour soon and the love Charlie showed faded. She mistreated Vaggie. Not as bad as she did Cain when he was under a trance, but close. By the hundredth year she stopped focusing on the passing of time No one in heaven wanted her back by the time she realized the deceit so she spent her days in the worse place. She spent her time out and about in town, trying to escape, but during all this Cain was the only one civil to her in his trace-dead inside way. Then one day she saw him arrive at the palace looking different. He was taken away by Charlie for another night of torture, but he seemed... eager about it. For him at least. Vaggie: Kanabel, Cain seems- Kanabal covered her mouth quickly and took her away to a private room. He didn't speak, simply using sign language to explain what happened while warning her to remain quiet about this. The sins couldn't decipher sign language thankfully. Vaggie (after she got all the information):Okay that was... a lot. Um, can you take me to that place? Kanabal signed a regrettable yes then snapped his fingers teleporting them to Eve's tree. Vaggie gasped seeing the tree up close. Vaggie: Are you sure this is... her? Kanabal: Yup, Presaro said she just started dropping apples. If I understood this right, Vaggie and Abel might have had a romantic relationship, hence her taunts to Lute and now that Charlie found her they are going to have a complicated relationship
Vaggie is 100% gay, so there was never any romance between her and Abel. He still is in love with Lute but tries to suppress it. Vaggie was trying to bait her with a lie that he doesn't care about her anymore, which does sting just thinking about it.

Okay, as much as I'd give the creator praise for how these animatics came out, and for teaching me some things about the bible I didn't know, I think I'm gonna be the first to say that I don't exactly like this AU. On it's own it's fine, but it definitely shouldn't count as a Hazbin Hotel AU. 1. Characters like Cain, Abel and other characters that weren't in Hazbin Hotel aside, all the other characters have been so drastically changed to the point of where it just feels like the characters' names and designs were slapped on OCs. I know it's an AU and all, but it just feels done wrong. 2. While I don't think it's a big deal, I do enjoy the comedy aspect of Hotel and this 'AU' just kinda throws away any kind of comedy the original had. Again, not a big deal, just pointing out. 3. Most of the characters' designs hardly feel unique. Again some like Abel, Cain are fine, but other times, it feels like the guys all have the same chin, the girls mostly have the same headshape where as I believe Vivziepop has a lot more variety despite most of her characters turning out lanky and stuff. 4. According to the story Vaggie's relationship with Charlie is gonna be akin to Stockholm Syndrome which... to be honest makes it seem even more like they're OCs and in my opinion just sounds like an idea for a terrible smut fanfiction. 5. And most of all, it takes away anything that made Hazbin Hotel unique. Making the story more 'biblically accurate' by having things like Lucifer be the badguy and Adam be the good guy are interesting to say the least, but the thing about Lucifer and Adam in the original show is that it's one of the things that makes Hazbin Hotel feel unique and stand out from the other stories. However, here, it just kinda makes the story feel like all the other story and again takes away it's uniqueness. Again, I don't think this is a bad AU, but I feel like this should've been it's own thing and not a Hazbin Hotel thing. Other than that, keep up the good work.
Just saw this comment. 1. Because this started as a swap AU, the personalities had to switch. Ex: Canon Adam is a jerk and because things are swapped, Swap Adam has to be more good tempered. Another example: Charlie. Canon Charlie is an optimistic girl that wants to leave a good mark in the world. The exact opposite of this would be a Swap Charlie being an agent of evil that wants what's bad for the world. I try to pull from various sources like Viv does and in this example, because Charlie is Lucifer's child, the closest thing I could find was Sin from the epic poem Paradise Lost (who is also a child of Lucifer). That is why Charlie has the key around her neck and a snake tail. The logic being: I've already swapped her into the polar opposite, might as well bring inspiration from another known piece of biblical media. Just a few examples. 2. Animatics take a while to make. I've definitely thought of gag animatics for humourous moments but the time spent on that could have been spent covering the major plot points in the story. It's tricky to decide which video to make next and above all, I want to keep the story flowing instead of stalling. 3. Yeah same face syndrome sucks lol. I've definitely improved on my art these past few months and for sure have tried to be better about that. For example, Cain is supposed to look much more emaciated but I will admit I struggle. As time goes on, things are bound to improve. A year ago, I didn't think my animatics could look like this video (with all the key frames and everything) so I can't wait to see how my art changes then (I'm still figuring out my style) 4. Not gonna lie, even I'm debating what Chaggie looks like going forward. In this lore, they're diametrically opposed. One is a righteous angel that hates sinners, the other is an evil demon that creates them. For sure was thinking on an enemies to lovers trope. Maybe like Yin and Yang or something. Idk. I said Stockholm Syndrome just to get a base idea of what it could look like but refinements will be made eventually. I think Chaggie is alright in canon, but things being messy in a swap setting is also fun to mess with. 5. My logic is that if canon Hazbin has Adam be an antagonist and Lucifer be more of an ally to the protagonist, the swap versions have to be the opposite. And as consequence, you wind up with characters acting more aligned with the source material they are made from. And if that's the case, might as well run with it. I really started leaning into the biblical aspects after the 4th animatic and at that point, I decided 'well there's a bunch of AUs out there, maybe mine's could stick out by leaning very hard into what Hazbin is drawing from (biblical canon)'. I get comments that express frustration that canon Hellaverse does not lean into the biblical canon as much (Beelzebub advises moderation, Ozzie believes in consent, etc) and they like that there is at least an AU that aligns more closely to it. And I understand why that's a critique, if a piece of media is based off of biblical elements, a lot of people want to see those biblical elements being followed. Maybe not exactly to the letter, people can put their own spin on things, but at least the core tenets. I get that it could be its own story but like, I'm on too deep lol. Hell is forever was meant to be a one off video but people liked the idea so much and I like giving people what they want so I kept going. I know how it feels to be a viewer and wishing a creator made more animatics about a topic and I didn't want to perpetuate that feeling. This AU has been going on for most of the year so to make a hard pivot now wouldn't be practical since a lot of the viewers want to see what happens next in the context of the AU. But I understand your points of critique, I hope I was able to address them all well.

Vaggie: Yeah, these can't kill you but I know they hurt! Back off! Now to Eve the tree... I'll be damned, well I am, but you're real.
Eve: Yes, guess my existence would become a rumor at a certain point of being a tree. Are you going to harm my son Cain or aid him?
Vaggie tapped her chin then smiled. She turned around and saw the sins and Yax were gone.
Vaggie: Aid, with something in return obviously.
Eve: Just don't harm him... He has to save the rest of our family. I'm stuck as a tree, but Adam and Abel can be saved. Please don't betray him like the other DEMONS would!
Kanable: Rude.
Vaggie: I will do all I can, namely talk to him after Charlie's done with him. K, take me back to the castle.
Kaneable: Yeah, sure whatever.

If I understood this right, Vaggie and Abel might have had a romantic relationship, hence her taunts to Lute and now that Charlie found her they are going to have a complicated relationship
Vaggie is 100% gay, so there was never any romance between her and Abel. He still is in love with Lute but tries to suppress it. Vaggie was trying to bait her with a lie that he doesn't care about her anymore, which does sting just thinking about it.

Okay, as much as I'd give the creator praise for how these animatics came out, and for teaching me some things about the bible I didn't know, I think I'm gonna be the first to say that I don't exactly like this AU.
On it's own it's fine, but it definitely shouldn't count as a Hazbin Hotel AU.
1. Characters like Cain, Abel and other characters that weren't in Hazbin Hotel aside, all the other characters have been so drastically changed to the point of where it just feels like the characters' names and designs were slapped on OCs. I know it's an AU and all, but it just feels done wrong.
2. While I don't think it's a big deal, I do enjoy the comedy aspect of Hotel and this 'AU' just kinda throws away any kind of comedy the original had. Again, not a big deal, just pointing out.
3. Most of the characters' designs hardly feel unique. Again some like Abel, Cain are fine, but other times, it feels like the guys all have the same chin, the girls mostly have the same headshape where as I believe Vivziepop has a lot more variety despite most of her characters turning out lanky and stuff.
4. According to the story Vaggie's relationship with Charlie is gonna be akin to Stockholm Syndrome which... to be honest makes it seem even more like they're OCs and in my opinion just sounds like an idea for a terrible smut fanfiction.
5. And most of all, it takes away anything that made Hazbin Hotel unique. Making the story more 'biblically accurate' by having things like Lucifer be the badguy and Adam be the good guy are interesting to say the least, but the thing about Lucifer and Adam in the original show is that it's one of the things that makes Hazbin Hotel feel unique and stand out from the other stories. However, here, it just kinda makes the story feel like all the other story and again takes away it's uniqueness.
Again, I don't think this is a bad AU, but I feel like this should've been it's own thing and not a Hazbin Hotel thing. Other than that, keep up the good work.

1. Because this started as a swap AU, the personalities had to switch. Ex: Canon Adam is a jerk and because things are swapped, Swap Adam has to be more good tempered. Another example: Charlie. Canon Charlie is an optimistic girl that wants to leave a good mark in the world. The exact opposite of this would be a Swap Charlie being an agent of evil that wants what's bad for the world. I try to pull from various sources like Viv does and in this example, because Charlie is Lucifer's child, the closest thing I could find was Sin from the epic poem Paradise Lost (who is also a child of Lucifer). That is why Charlie has the key around her neck and a snake tail. The logic being: I've already swapped her into the polar opposite, might as well bring inspiration from another known piece of biblical media. Just a few examples.
2. Animatics take a while to make. I've definitely thought of gag animatics for humourous moments but the time spent on that could have been spent covering the major plot points in the story. It's tricky to decide which video to make next and above all, I want to keep the story flowing instead of stalling.
3. Yeah same face syndrome sucks lol. I've definitely improved on my art these past few months and for sure have tried to be better about that. For example, Cain is supposed to look much more emaciated but I will admit I struggle. As time goes on, things are bound to improve. A year ago, I didn't think my animatics could look like this video (with all the key frames and everything) so I can't wait to see how my art changes then (I'm still figuring out my style)
4. Not gonna lie, even I'm debating what Chaggie looks like going forward. In this lore, they're diametrically opposed. One is a righteous angel that hates sinners, the other is an evil demon that creates them. For sure was thinking on an enemies to lovers trope. Maybe like Yin and Yang or something. Idk. I said Stockholm Syndrome just to get a base idea of what it could look like but refinements will be made eventually. I think Chaggie is alright in canon, but things being messy in a swap setting is also fun to mess with.
5. My logic is that if canon Hazbin has Adam be an antagonist and Lucifer be more of an ally to the protagonist, the swap versions have to be the opposite. And as consequence, you wind up with characters acting more aligned with the source material they are made from. And if that's the case, might as well run with it. I really started leaning into the biblical aspects after the 4th animatic and at that point, I decided 'well there's a bunch of AUs out there, maybe mine's could stick out by leaning very hard into what Hazbin is drawing from (biblical canon)'. I get comments that express frustration that canon Hellaverse does not lean into the biblical canon as much (Beelzebub advises moderation, Ozzie believes in consent, etc) and they like that there is at least an AU that aligns more closely to it. And I understand why that's a critique, if a piece of media is based off of biblical elements, a lot of people want to see those biblical elements being followed. Maybe not exactly to the letter, people can put their own spin on things, but at least the core tenets.
I get that it could be its own story but like, I'm on too deep lol. Hell is forever was meant to be a one off video but people liked the idea so much and I like giving people what they want so I kept going. I know how it feels to be a viewer and wishing a creator made more animatics about a topic and I didn't want to perpetuate that feeling. This AU has been going on for most of the year so to make a hard pivot now wouldn't be practical since a lot of the viewers want to see what happens next in the context of the AU. But I understand your points of critique, I hope I was able to address them all well.
