Comments mentioning me, Jarell (the guy on the left) supposedly faking the reaction by watching it ahead of time because I gave a prediction/theory about Jadis visiting Gabriel before the scene was showed, and about the Car chase scene is completely false. We are not scammers faking our reactions, our reactions are live and true. If you’re a subscriber to the channel you would know, we breakdown, analyze and give predictions and theories on all Walking Dead shows, some turn out to be true while others don't and this prediction was quite simple and easy to think of given the context. Gabriel sees a helicopter, who else would it have been other than Jadis? If you did see the reaction, then you would have seen both our our amazement that the prediction turned out to be true that it was Jadis coming to visit him. Also the car chase was shown in a trailer for TWOL which we did a breakdown video on and it showed Jadis chasing the Yellow truck, which also in that trailer showed Michonne in that same yellow truck. So knowing the car chase was with Jadis was there also! I know most viewers don't watch the initial trailers to the full extent of breaking them down like we do here on the channel, but to assume we're watching it ahead of time just because our predictions turn out to be true is a little ridiculous.

Seeing Jadis wearing all black the first time seeing Father G again and each meeting after there was more color until the color was the outer layer… that symbolism of her struggle with “light” and “dark” side was beautifully snuck in.

There has to be a season 2. No way in hell a story this big is wrapped up with just one episode remaining. Not to mention, this show is just too damn good. Rick and Michonne are just too big of characters for just one season. They *are* The Walking Dead.
AMC will definitely want to capitalize on the success. I also don’t see Rick and Michonne crippling the CRM and also reuniting with their family in one episode. The only way it happens is if it’s VERY rushed.

They can have a 2 hour long finale. Something is defiantly up though. Dandy is learning to much behind the scenes to stop now. They both will add so much to their resumes as far as being writers and producers. There is so much to learn, that Dandy can use in their future gigs, apart from TWD if they continue to push the envelope.
At this point, Rick just follows Michonne’s lead. He hardly ever questions her because he trusts her unconditionally. I love his she officially became Michonne Grimes. Another thing I noticed in this ep is that Rick & Michonne aren’t scared, startled, or afraid of anything other than losing each other. It seems like people pulling guns on them is merely an inconvenience.
So I’ve never seen the walking dead, but someone on my timeline kept talking about this show and I jumped in and I have absolutely loved this show. Even though there are some little things that I don’t understand it shouldn’t stop someone who’s never seen the original from watching it. You guys do fill in some gaps that I have in who and what some people are.
Jadis' story began with Gabriel who was on watch the night she came to Alexandria, it's only fitting it should end with him being present in some way. Loved seeing Gabriel again!
Hey guys, I just want you to know, I love watching the reactions to the episodes. I used to watch TWD and all of it's spinoffs with my dad and we'll discuss it after the episode. But evey since his passing a few years back, I've been watching it alone, non or my friends are walking dead fans. So watching this feels like I'm watching it with my dad again. Lot's of love.

In the same boat buddy. This was my dad and I's favorite franchise before his passing and now I always tell myself that I'm watching these shows for him in his absence since he is the whole reason I got into it to begin with.

Great episode. I knew there was no way Jadis/Ann was making it out alive. No scenario where she lives. And as soon as i saw Gabey in the cold open i knew. But i really hope theres a season 2. It seems pointless to bring Rick and Michonne back all for six episodes and that's it. There's gotta be more. In other words "Still gotta mean something"
Rick and Michonne is literally the heart of TWD for approx 10 seasons. They are the SUPER MAJOR CHARACTERS. There’s no way they can complete their story with a mini-series. I refuse to believe it!
I think it will be revealed at the end that the remaining Alexandrians left are now consignees for the CRM that could be Gabriel but the problem is Gabriel is an A and he would get killed.
I agree. A lot of reviewers missed explaining an important aspect of ep 5. This was Anne's love story for Gabe. Jadis/Anne didn't just take Gabe's last name as a sign of respect. Taking last name was a symbolism of their bond - love. Gabe's look at the end said it all. His love for Anne was stronger than that with Rosita.

Jadis's death hit me unexpectedly hard, I even got a little emotional over it. Her final moments showed that Anne was still in there somewhere the entire time. "I wish I died an artist" made me very sad, because imagine the life she would have had if she simply chose to stay at Alexandria and kept painting and being around those who considered her family. Jadis deserved what happened to her, but I can only think how much better things would have been if she hadn't joined the CRM.
This is one of my favorite episodes, because of Gabriel. I loved seeing him. I thought he made the A, so she’d know he had been there, if she showed up.
Why wasn't you expecting to see him I mean I expect in the last episode or say in the last episode of season 2 if there is one we will see everyone we know not just gabe

The Echelon Briefing is probably using the gas to kill all the walkers across the country, which means all the people die too. Or it relates to what they're doing in France. I kinda prefer this one.
Imo it's more about their plans to the future, like the past episode, how jadis told rick in a flashback, CRM has a 500 year plan. That must be the echelon briefing
Nukes didn't affect them. They don't BREATHE so neither _Gas nor drowning_ affects them. Unless you fast freeze them and break them up or you put them into a 'Cremation' chamber and get the fire hot enough to MELT them, I don't think you destroy them that easily.

No. Gabe never saw the helicopter before it flew over in this opening scene. He had only overheard Anne talking to the CRM on the Walkie. And then she divulged a little. But it was only Rick and Negan who had seen the helicopter. And Simon asked about the helipad.

As for the timeline i calculate the whole commonwealth thing is behind them remember their was a 1 year time jump when we see eugene has had a child & we saw gabe then so my guess gabe tried to see jadis one last time when she was already dead after the scene so after Daryl left
I loved this Episode. It was Amazing to see your reaction to Father Gabriel. I have always been a fan of Jadis in TWD, World Beyond and this spin-off. I do believe it was time to say Goodbye. My running theory is that the opening minutes of father gabriel is current time line with crm heading to alexandria to destroy or send the reclamation teams sounds like 2 helicopters and all the other times were title screen flashbacks idk just my theory

I agree with two years ago, because Gabe clearly said that they have the walls destroyed and Michonne left, but that means that the last one may be well after Rosita died. I don't know the official numbers but all 11a and 11x09 seems to have happened in a week or two I think given by the short reaper arc, then we have the timejump of six months up until 11x15/16, and the rest from there also seems to have happened in less than a month (again, idk the numbers, just speaking from my pereception of the actions vs time passed). And I don't know the time between 10x16 and 11x01 but I don't think Eugene, Ezekiel and Yumiko spent that much time on the road. So I really think less than a year has summed up here, meaning that Rosita was dead in the last flashback. Maybe I'm wrong lol and you can correct me. Gabe also seemed to have some pain/grief at the beginning of the last meeting, so it makes sense to me.
Jadis visiting Father Gabriel explains a lot now because I was always wondering why no one ever asked about her I don't remember her telling anyone that she was leaving then that's when she saw Rick at the side of the river

My theory: In the opening scene, Gabe saw helicopters headed to Alexandria. It is either the CRM, or Rick. I still have a feeling that Michonne will stay behind at the CRM for the Summit, and Thorne will take Michonne home in her heli.

Great reaction guys! Was pretty surprised to see Gabriel, but it makes sense. I hated Jadis/Anne in the OG Walking Dead show, however she's really good in The World Beyond, and The Ones Who Live.
I remember couple years ago or more about rumors of a Walking Dead movie or movies and i still believe that with just 1 episode left and a LOT to cover and explain that all these series including Darryl, Negan, Maggie, Michonne and Rick that this is what its leading us to. But i could be wrong on this theory. Pollyanna was brilliant in Walking Dead since she was introduced to us......thankyou Pollyanna
I cried 😢 when she died, Jadis was one of my favorite characters! She was just a conflicted survivor. As she said, she wanted to belong to a community and not lose anyone else. I blame Simon for breaking her. She never recovered from that atrocious act against the Scavengers. I don't know how long they were in a community, but for her to have to lure the walker version of her friends into that mulching machine, you just can't put that out of your mind. Alexandria wasn't welcoming either. She felt judged by past mistakes. She tried to make it work by doing artwork for the communities (her one talent). So when she gained entry to the CRM, she gained purpose, and they were big and strong enough not to fall. We have her meetings with Gabriel to thank for that. They kept that little bit of Anne alive in Jadis. Thus, I believe Jadis never truly bought into everything that the CRM was preaching. Thus, I believe she wouldn't have killed Rick and Michonne and even when Michonne said they were going to expose the CRM to the city, she (Jadis) even gave a small smile. Rest in peace, Jadis/ Anne. Thank you, Pollyanna McIntosh, for giving us such a wonderful and complicated character! "Show Rick, Up, Up, Up." That phrase will live in infamy! ❤
I think that first scene was the crm going to attack Alexandria or leaving the area of Alexandria after already attacking them. The other scenes were a flash back and Gabriel was heading back after jadis didn’t show up.
This was a great farewell episode for Jadis, but next weeks either needs: 1) lead into S2 2) have an Endgame-style spin-off 3) be feature length. I want a S2, but who the heck knows.
They did incredible with this ep. It's my favorite this season even if all the episodes were already awesome. I'm wondering if father G will be returning or was he just apart of this particular past. Great review guys.

@@imjuliewaters The new base is in 'Wyoming' guys (The North). The main headquarters for the CRM is in Pennsylvania (East Coast). Gabriel is obviously in Virginia. No way it's the SAME Helo UNLESS it's also the one that carried Jadis to Alexandria the 3 times she went to see Gabriel, her last flight being at least a year ago.

yeah the original briefing maybe - building the new world strengthening ties etc. when rick and pearl started building the base.. "but 2 yrs ago" crm got new directives.. went and emptied out omaha/campus of useful people. then made the choice to bomb them out of kindness. then went to take out portland.. (skittled by the w.b. kids) - - i think they are now bent on anyone who is not them, dies.. and THEY alone build a new world. -- i cant wait to see this briefing! (technically padre was a good idea/mission to start with - yet the 2 kids took over, and made it something else.. and thats what failed.. alisha didnt care about padre at the end.. (which was weak story telling.. lol)
Maybe the echelon briefing has something to do with what they did to Omah or that they plan on doing the same to Portland. It is probably what Jadis talked about in WB when she said the other communities were a drain on resources.
she also said to the kids WB that making the choice for people was a kindness.. that communities will fall to 'starvation/famine and attack'.. she literally had this confirmed to her via her silent visits.. by gabe.. - in turn - reinforcing the crm line of 'killing the few to save the many'.. a reoccurring theme; as crm itself wouldn't be there at all. if not for oakafors same thing' killing the few to save the many'..
I have not read everything yet so not sure if anyone else posted this but the person she talked about that she had to kill that helped her was Huck from The World beyond that’s why they showed her in her flash back at the end. I do think she has the regret of killing her that is why she mentioned her. Love these reactions
she did say she has been doing worse things with every year - cruel things - the blood (Lila the scientist she locked up, kinda bled alot) "couldn't have said it better myself" jadis said... - and yes.. huck was her mentor in crm.. i love how when she said that - with the flashbacks going back to gabe - made us worry harder for gabe in the moment.. jadis's death is quite deep really..

The timeline is so confusing, if what you said is true, then there wasn't any tension to if jadis was going to kill Gabriel or not cause we know he was there when Rosita dies

What might help us to understand is that Michonne spent 1 year and a couple months looking for Rick (including the year she spent recovering from gas) When Michonne left to look for Rick they had just fought against the whisperers and during this time Eugene left to find "Stephanie". It took less than an year for part of our group to follow him to the Commonwealth. And less than an year for our group to burn the Commonwealth down
I’ve seen a lot people on Twitter and Reddit saying that Rosita is gone at this point. Either way, if she is still alive at this point, they had broken up. But the timeline is so damn goofy, so who knows for sure lol
Rick putting down Anne like that is a callback to when he had Carter of Alexandria dead to rights and wanted to shoot but here he looks away from Anne when he pulls the trigger. He wanted to kills Jadis Stokes not Anne.
I did not even notice the rock with the A on it when I watched the episode last night. And I couldn't figure out what they were showing zooming out from those rocks. 🤦🏻♀ And there's no way the next episode can be the last unless it's at least 4 hours long without commercials.

first time we see gabe in opening credits - it is different.. the walker looks like it is gas/bomb damaged walker - the fact is several helicopters are chugging above - he drops to his knees and prays - and.. he is walking in smog/smoke.. on a fine day above him.. people are starting to think this is a flash forward gabe.. AFTER jadis missed the last meeting (cos she is dead now) leading people to think that echelon is coming home (to liquidate them anyway) maybe they blow up the few (alexandria) to save the many (commonwealth) ?? would explain why no one talks about maggie having to move out to the 'bricks'? or where babylon came from (being the law of the land in commonwealth territory zones - and why there were no clamshell soldiers around - maybe they realized that sticking out like dogs balls in a wartime is not so cool?)
she couldnt kill gabriel during their meetups because gabriel was in s10 and s11 and that was 6 years after the bridge and their meetups were 3/4/5 years after
I wasn't worried that jadis might kill father gabe because I'm pretty sure we saw father gabe at the end of season 11 following that one year time jump & at that time I estimate gabe met with jadis that last time before the very end of season 11

Not to mention, this show is just too damn good. Rick and Michonne are just too big of characters for just one season. They *are* The Walking Dead.
AMC will definitely want to capitalize on the success. I also don’t see Rick and Michonne crippling the CRM and also reuniting with their family in one episode. The only way it happens is if it’s VERY rushed.
Yeah I am doubtful they will do all of that, but this was limited for a reason, unless they left it open ended intentionally. Lets be real though, this show has been rushed, not complaining, would rather have that then the 1, 8,9 and 16 structure from the show @@flochforster6892

They both will add so much to their resumes as far as being writers and producers. There is so much to learn, that Dandy can use in their future gigs, apart from TWD if they continue to push the envelope.
At this point, Rick just follows Michonne’s lead. He hardly ever questions her because he trusts her unconditionally. I love his she officially became Michonne Grimes. Another thing I noticed in this ep is that Rick & Michonne aren’t scared, startled, or afraid of anything other than losing each other. It seems like people pulling guns on them is merely an inconvenience.

So I’ve never seen the walking dead, but someone on my timeline kept talking about this show and I jumped in and I have absolutely loved this show. Even though there are some little things that I don’t understand it shouldn’t stop someone who’s never seen the original from watching it. You guys do fill in some gaps that I have in who and what some people are.
It's kinda genius to have the tall lady be the one to get Jadis in the neck since she is in fact tall enough to reach.

Jadis' story began with Gabriel who was on watch the night she came to Alexandria, it's only fitting it should end with him being present in some way. Loved seeing Gabriel again!

Hey guys, I just want you to know, I love watching the reactions to the episodes. I used to watch TWD and all of it's spinoffs with my dad and we'll discuss it after the episode. But evey since his passing a few years back, I've been watching it alone, non or my friends are walking dead fans. So watching this feels like I'm watching it with my dad again. Lot's of love.

Great episode. I knew there was no way Jadis/Ann was making it out alive. No scenario where she lives. And as soon as i saw Gabey in the cold open i knew. But i really hope theres a season 2. It seems pointless to bring Rick and Michonne back all for six episodes and that's it. There's gotta be more. In other words "Still gotta mean something"

I agree. A lot of reviewers missed explaining an important aspect of ep 5. This was Anne's love story for Gabe. Jadis/Anne didn't just take Gabe's last name as a sign of respect. Taking last name was a symbolism of their bond - love. Gabe's look at the end said it all. His love for Anne was stronger than that with Rosita.
She didn't tell him, that Judith also has a gun lol, She earned her name Little Ass Kicker, when she was shooting at Negan.
That was BS, the recoil of that 45 would have knocked her little ass down.

Jadis's death hit me unexpectedly hard, I even got a little emotional over it. Her final moments showed that Anne was still in there somewhere the entire time. "I wish I died an artist" made me very sad, because imagine the life she would have had if she simply chose to stay at Alexandria and kept painting and being around those who considered her family. Jadis deserved what happened to her, but I can only think how much better things would have been if she hadn't joined the CRM.
Yes Michonne did have a necklace like that. I believe when she came to the CRM she had to get rid of it, since her name is "Dana."
This is one of my favorite episodes, because of Gabriel. I loved seeing him. I thought he made the A, so she’d know he had been there, if she showed up.

Nukes didn't affect them. They don't BREATHE so neither _Gas nor drowning_ affects them. Unless you fast freeze them and break them up or you put them into a 'Cremation' chamber and get the fire hot enough to MELT them, I don't think you destroy them that easily.

So I think the Echelon Briefing is going to show all the big communities that are out there, and their plan to wipe them all out. No. Gabe never saw the helicopter before it flew over in this opening scene. He had only overheard Anne talking to the CRM on the Walkie. And then she divulged a little. But it was only Rick and Negan who had seen the helicopter. And Simon asked about the helipad.

I loved this Episode. It was Amazing to see your reaction to Father Gabriel. I have always been a fan of Jadis in TWD, World Beyond and this spin-off. I do believe it was time to say Goodbye. I agree with two years ago, because Gabe clearly said that they have the walls destroyed and Michonne left, but that means that the last one may be well after Rosita died. I don't know the official numbers but all 11a and 11x09 seems to have happened in a week or two I think given by the short reaper arc, then we have the timejump of six months up until 11x15/16, and the rest from there also seems to have happened in less than a month (again, idk the numbers, just speaking from my pereception of the actions vs time passed). And I don't know the time between 10x16 and 11x01 but I don't think Eugene, Ezekiel and Yumiko spent that much time on the road. So I really think less than a year has summed up here, meaning that Rosita was dead in the last flashback. Maybe I'm wrong lol and you can correct me. Gabe also seemed to have some pain/grief at the beginning of the last meeting, so it makes sense to me.
Pollyanna Mcintosh's performance was fucking great man! I think i love Jadis in the end. Poor her. She was so conflicted.
Jadis visiting Father Gabriel explains a lot now because I was always wondering why no one ever asked about her I don't remember her telling anyone that she was leaving then that's when she saw Rick at the side of the river

Great reaction guys! Was pretty surprised to see Gabriel, but it makes sense. I hated Jadis/Anne in the OG Walking Dead show, however she's really good in The World Beyond, and The Ones Who Live.
You say it all the time, "Title Screen Hype!" but honestly, this show's intro does get me hype!
I remember couple years ago or more about rumors of a Walking Dead movie or movies and i still believe that with just 1 episode left and a LOT to cover and explain that all these series including Darryl, Negan, Maggie, Michonne and Rick that this is what its leading us to. But i could be wrong on this theory. Pollyanna was brilliant in Walking Dead since she was introduced to us......thankyou Pollyanna
I cried 😢 when she died, Jadis was one of my favorite characters! She was just a conflicted survivor. As she said, she wanted to belong to a community and not lose anyone else. I blame Simon for breaking her. She never recovered from that atrocious act against the Scavengers. I don't know how long they were in a community, but for her to have to lure the walker version of her friends into that mulching machine, you just can't put that out of your mind. Alexandria wasn't welcoming either. She felt judged by past mistakes. She tried to make it work by doing artwork for the communities (her one talent). So when she gained entry to the CRM, she gained purpose, and they were big and strong enough not to fall. We have her meetings with Gabriel to thank for that. They kept that little bit of Anne alive in Jadis. Thus, I believe Jadis never truly bought into everything that the CRM was preaching. Thus, I believe she wouldn't have killed Rick and Michonne and even when Michonne said they were going to expose the CRM to the city, she (Jadis) even gave a small smile. Rest in peace, Jadis/ Anne. Thank you, Pollyanna McIntosh, for giving us such a wonderful and complicated character! "Show Rick, Up, Up, Up." That phrase will live in infamy! ❤

I think that first scene was the crm going to attack Alexandria or leaving the area of Alexandria after already attacking them. The other scenes were a flash back and Gabriel was heading back after jadis didn’t show up.
This was a great farewell episode for Jadis, but next weeks either needs:
1) lead into S2
2) have an Endgame-style spin-off
3) be feature length.
I want a S2, but who the heck knows.
They did incredible with this ep. It's my favorite this season even if all the episodes were already awesome. I'm wondering if father G will be returning or was he just apart of this particular past. Great review guys.

@@imjuliewaters The new base is in 'Wyoming' guys (The North). The main headquarters for the CRM is in Pennsylvania (East Coast). Gabriel is obviously in Virginia. No way it's the SAME Helo UNLESS it's also the one that carried Jadis to Alexandria the 3 times she went to see Gabriel, her last flight being at least a year ago.

yeah the original briefing maybe - building the new world strengthening ties etc. when rick and pearl started building the base.. "but 2 yrs ago" crm got new directives.. went and emptied out omaha/campus of useful people. then made the choice to bomb them out of kindness. then went to take out portland.. (skittled by the w.b. kids) - - i think they are now bent on anyone who is not them, dies.. and THEY alone build a new world. -- i cant wait to see this briefing! (technically padre was a good idea/mission to start with - yet the 2 kids took over, and made it something else.. and thats what failed.. alisha didnt care about padre at the end.. (which was weak story telling.. lol)
Maybe the echelon briefing has something to do with what they did to Omah or that they plan on doing the same to Portland.
It is probably what Jadis talked about in WB when she said the other communities were a drain on resources.
she also said to the kids WB that making the choice for people was a kindness.. that communities will fall to 'starvation/famine and attack'.. she literally had this confirmed to her via her silent visits.. by gabe..

I have not read everything yet so not sure if anyone else posted this but the person she talked about that she had to kill that helped her was Huck from The World beyond that’s why they showed her in her flash back at the end. I do think she has the regret of killing her that is why she mentioned her. Love these reactions

When Michonne left to look for Rick they had just fought against the whisperers and during this time Eugene left to find "Stephanie". It took less than an year for part of our group to follow him to the Commonwealth. And less than an year for our group to burn the Commonwealth down
I’ve seen a lot people on Twitter and Reddit saying that Rosita is gone at this point.
Either way, if she is still alive at this point, they had broken up. But the timeline is so damn goofy, so who knows for sure lol

Rick putting down Anne like that is a callback to when he had Carter of Alexandria dead to rights and wanted to shoot but here he looks away from Anne when he pulls the trigger. He wanted to kills Jadis Stokes not Anne.
I honestly thought Jadis was going to kill Father Gabriel, too. This was one of the best episodes! Even my cat watched with me this time!

I did not even notice the rock with the A on it when I watched the episode last night. And I couldn't figure out what they were showing zooming out from those rocks. 🤦🏻♀ And there's no way the next episode can be the last unless it's at least 4 hours long without commercials.
At least Rick and Michonne can eventually break the news to Gabriel so he'll know that she didn't show up because she's dead and not because she abandoned him.

first time we see gabe in opening credits - it is different.. the walker looks like it is gas/bomb damaged walker - the fact is several helicopters are chugging above - he drops to his knees and prays - and.. he is walking in smog/smoke.. on a fine day above him.. people are starting to think this is a flash forward gabe.. AFTER jadis missed the last meeting (cos she is dead now) leading people to think that echelon is coming home (to liquidate them anyway)
